"The poor student I sponsored, where is Gu Yunting now? I want to see him," Ye Wan inquired.
"Uh, I don't know. But is the student you sponsored the one who was handcuffed to you last time? That doesn't seem appropriate, does it?" Jin Lan reminded her kindly.
"What's inappropriate about it? He's in a difficult situation now, and I'm helping him through it, just as I would hope someone would help me when I was in trouble," she replied.
"Forget it, forget it, as long as you're happy. I'll send you a location, and you can see if he's there." Jin Lan put down his phone and sent Ye Wan a location.
Ye Wan hailed a taxi to find Gu Yunting. On the way, she sent Shen Ziche a message, asking if he was alright. Shen Ziche replied that they had released him.
Upon arriving at the location Jin Lan had mentioned, Ye Wan saw Gu Yunting with a woman. She didn't recognize the woman, but she was beautiful and elegant, which instantly ignited the grievances and anger in Ye Wan's heart!
Why should she only sponsor a student and have him show up to drive the person away, while he could be here, chatting and laughing with a beautiful woman?
As Ye Wan rushed forward, Gu Ye stopped her. "Miss Ye, the young master is not available to see you right now. Please return."
"He's not available to see me, but he's available to see others? Gu Yunting, you bastard, I have something to say to you!" Ye Wan suddenly shouted. She didn't care about anything else now; she only knew she was very angry.
This was a two-story European-style villa with a large, elegantly landscaped courtyard. It was evident the owner had excellent taste. This was Gu Yunting's new home after moving out of the Gu residence.
And in this new home, there was a new mistress.
Ye Wan felt as if her heart had been crushed into a pulp, leaving a bloody mess.
Gu Yunting and the woman were standing on the second floor. Anyone could see Ye Wan now. Gu Yunting's face showed no expression, while the woman frowned at her.
"Gu Yunting, come down. I have something to tell you." Ye Wan continued to call out to him, unwilling to give up. She was being held back by Gu Ye.
The woman said something to Gu Yunting, and Ye Wan saw them turn and go into the bedroom. Ye Wan trembled with anger. Five minutes later, Gu Yunting came downstairs and casually walked out of the villa.
Gu Ye then let her pass, allowing Ye Wan to enter. With red eyes, Ye Wan walked up to Gu Yunting, her body still trembling uncontrollably. She asked, "Is she the one you're going to marry?"
"Yes," Gu Yunting replied indifferently.
"Since you have someone you're going to marry, why do you still care who I'm with?" Ye Wan asked him, looking furious.
"If you have nothing else, you may leave," Gu Yunting's expression was as cold as ice, as if the girl in front of him was insignificant to him.
Ye Wan now understood how ruthless a man could be when he turned cruel. When he said he liked you, when he was interested in you, you were a treasure, and showering you with affection every day still felt insufficient. Now that he no longer liked you, he discarded you as easily as a useless piece of rotten stone.
"Fine. Since we have nothing to do with each other anymore, why are you still wearing the ring I made for you? Take it off and give it back to me!" Ye Wan pointed at the pinky ring he had worn since receiving it.
Gu Yunting's heart ached. He unconsciously touched the pinky ring with his other hand. This ring was his birthday gift from her, handmade by her. He cherished it as a treasure and couldn't bear to be parted from it for even a moment.
