Gu Yun Ting recalled how her eyes had been gentle and her attitude affectionate when facing another man, yet cold and sharp towards him. Although he knew he was the cause of this, he felt profoundly unbalanced.
"Stay away from him!"
"We have nothing to do with each other anymore. Who I stay near or far from has nothing to do with you," Ye Wan replied coldly, though her tone softened slightly.
All she hoped was that he hadn't come to take her child this time.
Gu Yun Ting suddenly grabbed Ye Wan, pulling her close. Ye Wan was startled, her beautiful eyes wide with panic like a frightened fawn. She worried he might harm the child in her womb!
Gu Yun Ting, consumed by his longing of the past period, exploded. He ignored his own physical condition and the poison in his body. He lowered his head and fiercely kissed the girl before him, wishing he could meld her into his very being, so they would never have to part again.
Ye Wan instinctively tried to push him away, but seeing how much thinner he had become, she couldn't bring herself to be truly harsh. No matter how deeply he had hurt her, she found herself incapable of being utterly ruthless towards him. She truly loathed this weakness in herself.
Ye Wan had no idea how long the kiss lasted. She felt oxygen-deprived, as if the world was ending. It was as if all time and space had stopped, and everyone and everything else had vanished. Only she and he remained in existence.
Gu Yun Ting missed her taste so desperately. If it were possible, if his body could recover immediately, he wished only to take her away from this accursed place. They would find a deserted island, just the two of them, and spend the rest of their lives there.
He had never known he could love someone so profoundly. In the past, she had always been within his sight, within his reach. He knew he loved her, but he never realized he would die without her!

Ye Wan sensed his intentions and finally came to her senses. She pushed at him, but she had little strength left and couldn't break free. The man's power was as formidable as ever, leaving her no escape.
"Gu Yun Ting, have you forgotten? You're getting married!" Ye Wan exclaimed angrily, but due to her lack of oxygen, her voice was soft and lacked any authority.
"I won't marry, I won't marry. Wan Wan, I won't marry," Gu Yun Ting held her tightly, his grip so fierce it felt as though he intended to fuse her into his body. Ye Wan felt her bones might shatter.

Tears streamed down Ye Wan's cheeks. She felt utterly pathetic, yet she succumbed to his tenderness.
A night of frenzy.
Ye Wan pleaded with him, afraid of harming the baby, but he was tireless, as if he wished to drown in that single night.
The next day, when Ye Wan woke up, the room was empty. She was alone in the large bed. She immediately got up and went to the bathroom. She opened the door, but it was deserted.
