Jiang Yan immediately exploded, "You're buying me a gift? With your own money? Isn't it money you tricked from Mom? Don't you know our family's situation? We're bankrupt, drowning in debt, and I can't afford to spoil you anymore."
"Jiang Yan, don't think you've earned merit just by helping out this once. Didn't you only know how to indulge before? We had money then, but now we don't, so naturally, I'll go out and earn it," Jiang Huan retorted.
"Even if you don't earn money, the family still has none. Now that we're all adults, we should be self-sufficient! And we still need to support our parents," Jiang Yan said. She couldn't truly kick Jiang Huan out, as they were still family. She couldn't do such a thing.
"Of course, I know we need to support our parents. I've already found a job, working at a large company. From now on, I'll support our parents," Jiang Huan declared loudly.
Jiang Yan found it laughable. With Jiang Huan's personality, it was unlikely she'd work diligently and support their parents.
Jiang's father anxiously watched his two daughters argue. He got up and walked towards Jiang Yan's room. Jiang's mother, however, was biased towards Jiang Huan. She said, "Your sister is in a bad mood lately, don't mind her."
"Mom, I heard my sister has a boyfriend?" Jiang Huan had heard from her mother that Jiang Yan had a very capable boyfriend who helped the family pay off debts, saved them from crisis, rescued their father, and was also handsome. She had come back specifically to see what kind of person he was.
