Around four o'clock, after finishing her homework, Mianmian told her mother she wanted to eat seafood at a certain restaurant, saying it was delicious and asking her mother to take her.
Jiang Mi readily agreed. If her daughter wanted something, of course she would take her.
"Should I ask if your Uncle Ling is free to go?" Jiang Mi took out her phone to message Ling Bo, asking if he wanted to join them.
"Mom, I just want to eat with you. Don't call Uncle Ling yet. We haven't had a meal together in so long," Mianmian quickly stopped her mother.
Jiang Mi thought about it and agreed, "Then I won't call him. I'll just let him know."
Seeing her mother give up on calling Uncle Ling, Mianmian secretly breathed a sigh of relief. She felt her father was really putting her in a difficult position.
Jiang Mi drove her daughter to the restaurant Mianmian had chosen. The restaurant was built by the sea, and dining there allowed one to enjoy the magnificent ocean view, which involuntarily lifted one's spirits.
When the mother and daughter arrived, it was dusk. The seaside scenery was exceptionally beautiful. Mianmian hadn't been to the seaside in a long time either. She happily ran around by the sea, like a carefree little bird.
Jiang Mi only wished her daughter could always be this happy and safe.
Upon their arrival at the restaurant, the manager led them to the best table on the top floor, where they could feel the sea breeze and admire the view.
"This is a nice spot. Does your restaurant offer such good seats without prior reservation?" Jiang Mi asked, a little perplexed.
"Mom, I booked it. Dad brought me here many times before, and I have a membership," Mianmian said with a smile.
Jiang Mi's heart skipped a beat. However, seeing her daughter's bright smile, she didn't say much more. She sat down opposite Mianmian. Mianmian leaned against a low wall nearby, gazing at the seagulls flying in the distance and the sunset on the horizon. The afterglow of the sunset cast upon the sea, dyeing it red, making it look exceptionally beautiful.
"Mom, it's so beautiful, look!" Mianmian had long forgotten what her father had asked her to do, only captivated by the scenery.
"Shall I take a few photos for you?" Jiang Mi, seeing how much her daughter loved the place, felt it was worth it, regardless of whether it was Jiang Jingxiu's scheme.
"Okay, okay, Mom, please take lots of pictures for me." Mianmian immediately got up, stood by the waist-high wall, and struck a pose. Jiang Mi quickly took countless photos of her daughter with her phone.
After finishing, the mother and daughter looked at the photos together. Mianmian then asked a waiter to take many photos of both of them.
Both of them were great beauties, already stunning without any retouching. They were incredibly beautiful.
Having collected countless beautiful photos, Mianmian picked six of her favorites to post on her Moments, with the caption, 'My mom is the most beautiful!'
After posting, she complained of being hungry and wanted to order food. Jiang Mi gave her a menu, and took one for herself.
Yun Bujun usually didn't check his Moments. He had set up a notification for Mianmian, so he knew immediately when she posted. He clicked on her Moments and saw the photos she had posted.
In the sunset, the girl looked almost unrealistically beautiful. The sea breeze ruffled her hair, giving her a messy charm. Yun Bujun immediately saved these photos of Mianmian and quickly set them as his phone's lock screen, desktop, and chat interface.
