Chapter 1206 The Grand Finale Part One

The mother and daughter were stunned by the decorations inside the Tang family's home. From the entrance, everything was adorned with pink roses and balloons, a pink carpet stretched along the path, and many people were gathered in the courtyard, as if someone was proposing.

Mian Mian felt a surge of blood rush to her head. She absolutely would not allow her father to marry another woman. Disregarding Jiang Mi’s attempts to stop her, she excitedly rushed forward. Jiang Mi tried to hold her back but couldn't.

"No proposing! Dad, you can't marry someone else!" Jiang Mian Mian pushed through the crowd and reached the front. But when she saw the man kneeling on the ground, she was taken aback because she didn't recognize him at all.

Jiang Mian Mian stood frozen, wondering who this person was and why he was proposing at her home.

Jiang Mi also frowned upon seeing this. It wasn't Jiang Jingxiu proposing to Tang Yaqi?

Just as the mother and daughter were puzzled, Jiang Jingxiu emerged from the side. He was dressed in an exquisite black suit, his tie perfectly knotted. Holding a bouquet of flowers, he approached Jiang Mi and knelt on one knee. "Jiang Mi, I want to marry you. Will you marry me?"

Jiang Mi took a step back in surprise. Jiang Mian Mian also rushed forward excitedly, looking happily at her father. She understood everything now. It turned out her father had done this deliberately, planning this proposal.

"Mom, quickly say yes," Jiang Mian Mian urged her mother anxiously.

Jiang Mi looked at the man before her, then at her daughter's face, and asked with pursed lips, "What is going on? Weren't you going to propose to Tang Yaqi?"

"The only person I've ever wanted to propose to is you. Tang Yaqi has already left and will not appear again. I made it clear to her long ago that the person I want to marry is you, only you, Jiang Mi. If you don't agree, I'll keep kneeling until you do." Jiang Jingxiu continued to hold up the diamond ring.

"Mom, just say yes first. We can talk about the details later," Jiang Mian Mian said nervously, watching her parents and hoping they would get back together soon.

Jiang Mi looked at the man before her, then at her daughter's hopeful face, and nodded. "I promise."

Jiang Jingxiu immediately got up, handed the flowers to his daughter, and swiftly slid the ring onto Jiang Mi's finger, as if afraid she would change her mind if he was even a second late.

Jiang Mian Mian smiled happily. She finally had a family. She knew her father loved her mother, and her mother had always had her father in her heart.

Their family could finally be together forever.

...

Ye Wan received a call from her daughter. Tuan Tuan was crying, saying her father might be dying and asked her mother to save him.

Ye Wan's heart instantly clenched. A suffocating feeling washed over her, leaving her feeling as if she were drowning, swaying precariously.

She hailed a taxi to the hotel Tuan Tuan had mentioned. At the hotel entrance, she saw Gu Ye waiting anxiously. His eyes lit up the moment he saw her. He rushed towards her and said urgently, "Young Madam, please follow me. Young Master's condition is critical and he needs you to save him."

"What happened to Gu Yunting?" Ye Wan had to admit that she was still worried about Gu Yunting's condition. She comforted herself that it was because of Ye Tuan Tuan; she didn't want Ye Tuan Tuan to be without a father.

"He's been poisoned, a very potent poison. If no one saves him, Young Master won't survive for another hour," Gu Ye said seriously, leading Ye Wan upstairs.

Ye Wan grew more frightened upon hearing this. They reached the upper floor, and Gu Ye ushered Ye Wan into the room while he stood guard outside.

Ye Wan was about to ask him why he wasn't coming in when she was suddenly embraced tightly. The person holding her was burning hot.

"Wan'er, you've finally come to see me." Gu Yunting's body was scorching hot, and the heat radiating from his breath almost burned Ye Wan's skin.

"Gu Yunting, what's wrong?" As Ye Wan turned around, her lips were sealed by his. This was a kiss he had longed for.
