"Throw her out. No one is allowed to interfere with her!" the man said mercilessly, turning and heading back to the bedroom.
Ye Wan was his, and only he could bully her. No one else had the right!
The butler was terrified. He glared at his unconscious niece, cursing her for being brainless, and quickly ordered her to be taken away from the Gu residence.
Ye Wan had been kneeling for less than half an hour before she fainted. She had been feeling extremely unwell to begin with, and managing to last this long under the circumstances was already a miracle.
The butler watched the girl collapse in the rain, forbidding anyone from helping her, even stopping Sun Ma.
Just as he was reprimanding Sun Ma for meddling, a figure dashed through the hall and out into the open. Gu Yunting stood before Ye Wan, looking at her pale, paper-like face with terrifyingly dark eyes!
...
Jin Lan, without even wearing shoes, rushed to the Gu residence with his medical kit. He was already accustomed to seeing Ye Wan's miserable state lying on the bed; over the years, this girl had never been free from major and minor injuries!
It was a miracle she was still alive.
He asked Sun Ma for help, and together they tended to the wounds on Ye Wan's forehead and the numerous bite marks all over her body.
"That guy really is a dog!" Jin Lan couldn't help but grumble under his breath.
"What did you say!" a cold, Satan-like voice rang out from behind him, startling Jin Lan. He got up and patted his chest, "Are you a ghost? You don't make any sound when you walk?"
"I'll handle the rest myself! You tend to the wound on her forehead!" Gu Yunting's possessiveness was terrifying. Even though Jin Lan was a doctor, he absolutely refused to let him see Ye Wan's body.
"Got it!" Jin Lan replied irritably, preparing to disinfect the gash on Ye Wan's head.
The wound, now pale from being washed by the rain, was no longer bleeding. But the moment Jin Lan touched it, Ye Wan flinched, and tears streamed down her face. She looked as pathetic as an abandoned puppy.
"Sun Ma, hold her head so she doesn't move," Jin Lan instructed.
Sun Ma immediately complied, but Ye Wan was in too much pain and kept shaking her head from side to side. Jin Lan couldn't disinfect the wound properly, which was very frustrating.
Gu Yunting couldn't watch anymore. He strode over, motioned for Sun Ma to step aside, sat down, and used his hands to firmly hold Ye Wan's head still, preventing her from thrashing.
Jin Lan quickly disinfected and applied medication to the wound in one smooth motion, finally treating the injury on her head.
"You two go out. I'll treat the wounds on her body myself!" Gu Yunting commanded coldly.
Jin Lan left the medicine, and he and Sun Ma went out. Only Gu Yunting and Ye Wan were left in the room. Gu Yunting undressed her and began to meticulously treat her wounds.
...
In the study.
The atmosphere was terrifyingly heavy. Jin Lan looked at the man smoking opposite him and bravely voiced the deepest doubt in his heart, "You torment her like this, is it because of her mother... or because her first time was with another man?"
His words caused the temperature in the room to drop by several tens of degrees. Jin Lan couldn't help but shiver. With extreme survival instinct, he quickly added, "Pretend I didn't ask!"
"Are you really going to get engaged to Lin Feiyu?" Jin Lan dared not mention Ye Wan's first time again and changed the subject. He and Gu Yunting had grown up together. The Gu Yunting of his childhood was gentle and polite, but after the incident where his mother and sister jumped to their deaths, his temperament changed drastically.
"She saved my life. I only promised to get engaged to her." Gu Yunting took another deep drag of his cigarette, his voice very cold, as if he didn't want to dwell on the matter.
