Chapter 48 Never Betray Me Again

The fever subsided, and Ye Wan no longer felt so uncomfortable, but she was still hot. Feeling the coolness beside her, she proactively snuggled closer to him, her legs wrapping around him.

Gu Yunting’s body stiffened. He wanted to push her away, as this could easily lead to qi deviation. Ye Wan cried out in pain, a low whimper escaping her lips. His movements stopped.

Ye Wan opened her eyes and looked at the man in front of her with a hint of bewilderment, blinking. She felt like she was dreaming. Otherwise, why would Gu Yunting appear to have a relatively gentle expression?

Just as Gu Yunting was about to ask her how she felt, Ye Wan suddenly opened her mouth and bit his chin!

Gu Yunting: "..."

Ye Wan bit down with genuine force, breaking the skin on his chin. Gu Yunting stared at the top of the little girl’s head in surprise. Did she know what she was doing?

“You always bit me before, now it’s my turn to bite you!” Ye Wan released his chin and was about to bite his nose, but Gu Yunting dodged immediately.

A bite mark on the chin could be concealed somehow, but a broken nose would disfigure him. Failing to bite his nose, Ye Wan went for his neck.

Her teeth left marks, then she moved to bite his shoulder, his chest…

Gu Yunting did not stop her, as it was a novel experience for him. It was the first time someone had bitten him. He was immune to pain, so the minor injuries she inflicted didn't hurt him; instead, they had a stimulating effect.

This woman always had a way of driving him crazy!

Ye Wan felt something hard against her teeth, making her even angrier. Her rosy lips pouted, “Bastard, you’re still bullying me in your dreams! I’ll bite you to death!”

This time, Gu Yunting wished she would bite him.

...

Ye Wan felt much better when she woke up the next day. The feeling of being half-dead yesterday had been too real; she thought she was actually going to die.

But why did her mouth feel so sore?

Gu Yunting walked in carrying breakfast. Ye Wan froze when she saw him. It wasn't because he had brought her breakfast, but rather why there was a band-aid on his chin?

It was even one with cartoon characters! It looked a bit comical.

But Ye Wan didn't dare to laugh, lowering her head instead. Gu Yunting set up the small dining table and placed the breakfast on it.

“Eat more if you don’t want to die.”

Ye Wan found his words utterly speechless; if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.

She had a high fever yesterday and felt completely drained now. She was so hungry. Jin Lan was right; health is capital. She picked up the spoon and started eating the porridge.

Ye Wan couldn't help but glance at his band-aid a couple more times. Gu Yunting slowly picked up his chopsticks and enlightened her, “I was bitten by a cat I’ve raised for over ten years yesterday. It not only bit my chin but also my neck, shoulder… and…”

Ye Wan suddenly looked up at him, her dazed expression appearing somewhat cute. The spoon in her hand clattered into the bowl. Her eyes widened in horror.

She suddenly remembered—it was her, she, she… she had bitten him!

And in the end, she even bit his… cough, cough, cough… Ye Wan suddenly coughed violently, pulling at the wound on her back, the pain bringing tears to her eyes.

Gu Yunting, who had been feeling smug, was startled by her reaction and quickly moved the table away. Ye Wan seized the opportunity to pull the blanket over her head, shrinking into the covers and refusing to come out.

“Get out right now!” Gu Yunting tried to pull the blanket off her.

“No, you leave, you leave!” Ye Wan clung to the blanket tightly, preferring to suffocate herself rather than come out!
