Chapter 495 Just a Bastard

In the car.

Madam Gu's expression was icy, her face filled with deep hatred. The servant beside her dared not speak, only lowering her head to minimize her presence.

"He actually dares to lie to me for that girl now! He's certainly gotten bold."

"Madam, Young Master is still very filial to you," the servant whispered in persuasion.

"He's just a bastard, does he deserve to talk about filial piety! If it weren't for his mother, how could I have lived such a miserable life!" Madam Gu, in her agitation, blurted out the deepest secret in her heart.

"Madam, be careful with your words," the servant was startled. That secret absolutely must not be uttered. If the Young Master found out, no one knew what would happen.

Madam Gu calmed down and realized she had said something she shouldn't have. Her face turned ugly, "It's all because he angered me."

"Madam, Ye Wan is just an insignificant wretch. Don't let her upset you to the point of harming your health."

"Hmph, it's precisely this kind of person who is disgusting, just like that woman back then!" Madam Gu clenched her fists tightly. The reason she hated Ye Wan was because Ye Wan bore some resemblance to that cheap slut!

"Madam, if you really dislike Ye Wan, just get rid of her. Please don't get angry and harm yourself." The servant had been with Madam Gu for over twenty years and naturally knew her hang-up. Since she detested that face, getting rid of her was simple. In her opinion, the Young Master would not defy Madam.

"You don't understand. A Ting won't agree. If I truly want to get rid of Ye Wan, I need to find another way." A glint of contemplation flashed in Madam Gu's eyes.

...

It was past ten when Ye Wan returned to the Gu residence. Sun Ma asked if she had eaten and if she wanted some supper. Ye Wan said no.

The little tiger woke up upon hearing her footsteps and trotted towards her unsteadily, clearly having just been woken up. It even stumbled in front of Ye Wan.

Ye Wan: "..."

"Xiao Wan, you still haven't named Little Tiger. I don't know what to call it. Why don't you give it a name?" Sun Ma suggested. She was also saddened by Xiao Jin Bao's death but hoped Ye Wan could move on soon.

Ye Wan looked at the yellow fur on the little tiger and, after some thought, said, "Let's call him Ju Zuo."

Sun Ma found the name a bit strange, but as long as Ye Wan was willing to name the little tiger, it meant she was starting to accept its presence and would slowly forget about Xiao Jin Bao's death.

"Ju Zuo, you have a name now, you know?" Sun Ma said with a smile.

The little tiger tilted its head, looking at its owner with a bewildered expression, completely unaware of what a name was. It ran over and rubbed its big head against its owner's leg, looking eager to please.

Ye Wan looked at the little cub and, for the first time, crouched down to stroke its head. The little tiger's eyes instantly lit up as it happily licked its owner's hand, then began to roll on the ground, exposing its belly and inviting its owner to pet it.

Ye Wan looked at its earnest attempts to please her, and her heart completely softened. She reached out and picked up the little one, carrying it upstairs as if it were a baby.

Seeing that Ye Wan had finally accepted the new little tiger, Sun Ma breathed a sigh of relief.

Happiness came too suddenly. The little tiger stared at its beautiful owner with its round eyes, its mouth suddenly curving upwards. Ye Wan found it amusing and scratched its chin with her finger.

The little tiger happily narrowed its eyes and savored the moment.

Upon reaching the bedroom, Ye Wan let the little tiger play by itself while she went to take a bath.
