Ye Wan returned to her room, still harboring her doubts. The moment she stepped inside, a man in black appeared, holding a knife to her throat. Ye Wan's breath hitched in fear.
"Don't make a sound, or you die!" the man in black said coldly.
"What do you want?" Ye Wan dared not speak loudly, terrified he might lose his temper and kill her.
"What do you think!" The man in black pressed the knife, tearing Ye Wan's sweater. The cold blade touched her skin.
Ye Wan felt the threat of death, but she didn't want to die. She suddenly raised her hand, shoving the man in black's arm away forcefully. She turned and fled the room, screaming for help as she ran.
Seeing Gu Yunting was like seeing a lifeline. She rushed over and threw her arms around him, "Save me, there's a bad guy!"
As she spoke, she clung to Gu Yunting even tighter. Gu Yunting simply looked at her indifferently. The man in black from a distance also emerged, suddenly pulling off his mask and kneeling on one knee before Gu Yunting. "Master!"
Ye Wan turned to see this scene and was stunned. The man in black had already turned and disappeared down the hallway. Ye Wan finally understood. This was all orchestrated by Gu Yunting!
Furious, she pushed him away, angrily pointing at him, ready to unleash a tirade. Gu Yunting grabbed her wrist, bent down, and hoisted her over his shoulder. Ye Wan was truly enraged. She had genuinely believed she was going to die just moments ago!
"Gu Yunting, are you crazy! You're a lunatic, you're sick!" Ye Wan was fuming, but she didn't know many insults. All she could repeat was this one word.
Gu Yunting raised his hand and spanked her bottom. "Shut up!"
"Why should I shut up? You're sick, you're sick, you're sick..." Ye Wan was about to explode.
"Slap!" Gu Yunting hit her again. Ye Wan became even more incensed, kicking her legs wildly and swatting at his back. However, his back was as hard as stone, and her hands ached from hitting him.
Gu Yunting carried her back to the room before setting her down and pressing her against the wall.
Ye Wan's tears streamed down her face from anger. "How dare you bully me like this!"
When the knife touched her neck, she truly thought she was going to die.
"Didn't you not fear death? You dared to stab yourself with a knife! Why are you scared now?" Gu Yunting questioned her mercilessly.
Ye Wan froze, forgetting her tears, and retorted, "It's because you bullied me! Is that how you treat people!"
Normally, Ye Wan would never dare speak to him like this, but today she had been pushed too far. The time she had stabbed herself before hadn't registered, but today she was truly terrified. It was the first time she felt she was a breath away from death. After her outburst, she continued to curse the man in front of her.
Gu Yunting suddenly lowered his head and kissed her incessantly chattering lips, cutting off her words.
Ye Wan, angry, bit him and pushed him away fiercely. "Get away from me, I don't want to see you! You are the worst, the absolute worst villain in the world! I've never met a man as bad as you! You're too wicked!"
He had bullied her, and then he had spanked her. He was a big bad wolf!
Gu Yunting just wanted her to understand that life was precious, to make her fear death, and to prevent her from ever pointing a knife at herself again.
Seeing that his objective had been achieved, he didn't mind her being angry. But if he didn't shut her up, who knew what else she would say about him.
So he sealed her lips again.

When Ye Wan's legs felt weak, Gu Yunting finally let go of her and reached up to pull her sweater down.
