"I don't have time. I've fallen behind on my homework and need to catch up," Ye Wan politely refused her and continued walking inside.
"Ye Wan, are you being ungrateful? Do you know why the house is being cleaned top to bottom? Because the Young Master is about to get engaged! A new Madam will be entering the household soon. The Madam is happy and has given everyone an extra month's wages."
"Then congratulations. You should hurry up and finish your work. Since I don't get paid, I won't bother you all." Ye Wan's reaction was indifferent.

Ning Xin, seeing her distress, turned to send Ye Wan a message, explaining Jiang Yan's situation and suggesting that the four of them have dinner together to cheer Jiang Yan up.
Ye Wan was unaware that Jiang Yan was going abroad. She was usually very busy and paid little attention to the people and events around her.
