Chapter 205 The First Time Seeing Him At Work

Ye Wan listened intently, feeling a sense of lingering fascination even after arriving at their destination. Stepping out of the car, she snapped back to reality, surprised by Gu Yunting's exceptional talent in mathematical probability.

If he were to apply himself to calculations and play the lottery, even without being the heir of the Gu family or owning a trillion-dollar company, he would undoubtedly be wealthy.

Pushing aside thoughts of numbers and probabilities, she turned and entered the company where she was to work. Manager Zhao greeted her warmly and introduced her to a few colleagues.

"Ye Wan, you can sit here for now. This project is massive, and we're collaborating with another multinational corporation. We'll be heading to a meeting with our partners this afternoon. Please organize these documents and translate them into English for preparation," Manager Zhao instructed, showing Ye Wan to an empty desk.

"Okay, Manager Zhao," Ye Wan replied, settling in and opening the documents.

"Don't rush this. Just get it done by the end of the day. Familiarize yourself with it first," Manager Zhao said before heading inside.

Ye Wan's arrival surprised the company's employees. The male staff were particularly intrigued, wondering where Manager Zhao had found such a beautiful translator who looked barely older than a minor.

One of them couldn't contain his curiosity and approached first. "Hi, hello, I'm Yang Wei, responsible for project data. Are you a professional translator?"

Ye Wan offered a polite smile. "Hello, I'm Ye Wan. I'm an English major student from Jing University."

Ye Wan's smile captivated every man present. The male employees then proceeded to shower her with attention, offering her water, coffee, and fruit.

The female employees could barely watch, one of them warning Ye Wan, "Ye Wan, don't be fooled by them. That one has a girlfriend, that one's wife is pregnant with their second child, and that one..."

"Sister Li, I'm single!"

"Just broke up with my last girlfriend!" Li Yun, Manager Zhao's secretary, in her thirties, was very friendly.

Ye Wan could only smile. What else could she do? They were all colleagues. She couldn't just throw away the gifts as she might have done at school.

She still had to work with them.

Manager Zhao emerged and saw the scene, immediately scolding them with a stern face, "Are you all that idle? Anyone else caught slacking off will have their bonus docked!"

His words instantly quieted everyone, deterring them from approaching Ye Wan. Finally, Ye Wan had some peace to focus on translating the documents.

Manager Zhao couldn't help but wipe his brow. If "that person" found out about this, his project might be jeopardized.

For lunch, there was employee dining. To prevent the "scoundrels" from bothering Ye Wan further, Manager Zhao decided to have lunch with her.

After returning, Manager Zhao, along with his secretary, another male employee, and Ye Wan, headed to the partner company for the meeting.

As the car stopped outside the headquarters of Gu Corporation, Ye Wan's brow furrowed slightly. Gu Corporation? Gu Yunting's company? So the partner was Gu Yunting. Looking at the magnificent building before her, she realized this was where Gu Yunting worked.

Since the meeting was pre-arranged, a dedicated person escorted the four of them via elevator to the eighty-first floor. Upon exiting the elevator, they saw a man radiating imperial nobility, striding forward with steady steps, flanked by over a dozen people. All company employees immediately stopped, bowed their heads, and paid homage to their emperor.

It was Ye Wan's first time seeing Gu Yunting in his work environment, and she found herself staring, mesmerized. Gu Yunting also noticed Ye Wan and paused as he approached the group.
