Chapter 435 Only the Stars in the Sky Match It

Even though he threatened her into signing an agreement, only then agreeing to donate bone marrow to save Ye Cheng, she was still grateful that he was willing to lend a hand. She wouldn't overlook the fact that he saved her brother.

Looking at her sincere eyes, Gu Yunting suddenly felt very despicable. He had schemed to get her back, and the one who donated bone marrow wasn't even him. If she found out the truth one day, would she hate him?

"Did I say something wrong?" Ye Wan looked at him nervously.

Gu Yunting looked at her innocent expression with some annoyance and took a small box from his pocket, handing it over.

Ye Wan looked at the elegant dark blue box and asked, "Is this for me?"

"Yes." Gu Yunting thrust the box into her hand.

Ye Wan opened the box. Inside was a necklace, rose gold in color, with a delicate diamond pendant. It was a simple, classic design.

"Why the sudden gift?" Ye Wan looked at him, puzzled. It wasn't a holiday, so why a necklace as a gift?

"I bought it on a business trip," Gu Yunting said, his gaze fixed on her. There seemed to be a suppressed madness in his eyes. He was now even more certain that he could never let her leave him.

"Thank you, can you help me put it on?" Ye Wan instinctively wanted to refuse, but after thinking carefully, she considered how a wife would react to receiving a gift from her beloved. She imagined it would be joy.

Gu Yunting took out the necklace and raised his hand to clasp it around her neck. To fasten the clasp, his face was close to hers, and he finally secured the necklace.

Gu Yunting reluctantly stepped back and reached out to straighten the diamond. He watched intently as the brilliant diamond sparkled against her fair collarbone. It was beautiful, yet he still felt the necklace didn't do her justice.

Only the stars in the sky could match her, he suddenly had such an absurd thought.

Gu Yunting's phone rang. He glanced at it and answered. It was Hua Rong calling, asking if he was free tomorrow.

"Okay," Gu Yunting agreed immediately. After hanging up, he looked at the girl beside him and saw her staring blankly at his phone.

"What's wrong?"

Ye Wan snapped back to attention, shook her head, and said, "Nothing."

Gu Yunting reached out and pulled her onto his lap, his gaze fixed on her. "If you don't tell me the truth, I'll kiss you until you do." Gu Yunting stared at her soft pink lips, his throat bobbing.

"Do you know Zheng Zi'er from our school?" Ye Wan suddenly remembered something her classmates had said today and looked at him curiously.

"Who?" Gu Yunting frowned, having no idea who she was talking about.

"The girl you were talking to at school on New Year's Day. Do you like her?" Ye Wan asked out of curiosity, thinking about the rumors at school.

"Who do I like? I don't know her," Gu Yunting's expression darkened, a hint of chill in his eyes.

"Ah? You don't know her? Then how..." Ye Wan found it strange. If Gu Yunting didn't know Zheng Zi'er, why did Zheng Zi'er seem to have an unusual relationship with him?

"What exactly happened?"

"The whole school is spreading rumors that you are Zheng Zi'er's boyfriend," Ye Wan said, looking at him a little nervously.
