Chapter 342 Repelling the Zombie Emperor

Qin Shilei let out a soft chuckle, saying with interest, "Your Zombie Emperor is quite something. Do you intend to have zombies and humans coexist peacefully?"

"Why not!"

Ding Teng said with full confidence, "I am the King of Zombies, and all zombies will obey me from now on. And under the pressure of my zombie army, humans will have no choice but to obey me. At that time, as long as we divide the land between zombies and humans, we can coexist."

"An interesting idea," Qin Shilei said indifferently. "I suddenly feel like taking you as my subordinate."

"You are courting death!"

Ding Teng's face flushed with anger, and he charged at Qin Shilei again.

Clang, clang, clang!

They exchanged blows at high speed, engaging in dozens of rounds in the blink of an eye.

Ding Teng's fingernails, which were half a foot long, could actually withstand the sharp Juque Sword without taking any damage.

Moreover, he forced Qin Shilei to retreat repeatedly.

"Hmph!"

Ding Teng sneered, "You only have this much ability, yet you dare to claim you'll make me your subordinate?"

Qin Shilei smiled faintly, "Then try this move of mine."

Illusion!

After forcing the opponent back with one move, he willed it and summoned the Illusion.

As soon as the Illusion appeared, it activated the "Heaven and Earth Dharma Manifestation" attribute and then charged at Ding Teng like a storm.

Ding Teng, who had been suppressing Qin Shilei, immediately lost his arrogance.

He could only barely evade the Illusion's powerful slashes by agilely maneuvering left and right.

Qin Shilei crossed his arms, smiling leisurely, "Have you considered becoming my subordinate?"

"Hmph!"

Ding Teng snorted coldly, "Then I'll let you witness my true power."

A surge of aura suddenly erupted from Ding Teng, followed by an invisible wave that spread out from his body.

The previously swift Illusion stumbled, almost falling to the ground.

Qin Shilei, who was twenty meters away from Ding Teng, also felt his body sink as if being pressed by a small mountain.

Gravity Control!

Qin Shilei instantly guessed the essence of the opponent's move.

The gravity he could control was at least twenty times.

Under his gravity control, the Illusion's movements became full of openings, and it sustained several deep gashes on its body.

Fortunately, the Illusion was merely an energy body and was immune to zombie poison. However, it did lose a small portion of its energy.

Ding Teng once again forced the Illusion to retreat.

As they slowly approached Qin Shilei, Ding Teng suddenly turned and rapidly advanced towards him.

A smile played on his lips, as if saying, "You don't think I'm as foolish as those low-level zombies, only focusing on your phantom image, do you?"

Teleportation!

Qin Shilei had no intention of attacking; he instantly appeared a hundred meters away.

Simultaneously, the Illusion activated another attribute on its body – "One-Punch Man."

With greatly increased power, the Illusion not only broke free from the influence of gravity control but also became even faster.

It instantly appeared behind Ding Teng and thrust its sword towards his back.

Ding Teng had never expected the Illusion to become faster under gravity control. Caught off guard, he was stabbed in the back.

Although he desperately circulated the vital energy within him to resist, the blade inevitably pierced his body.

Then, he discovered in horror that his entire body had become immobile.

With the hit, Qin Shilei immediately controlled the Illusion to launch a fierce attack on the opponent.

What could two seconds of paralysis achieve?

Two seconds were enough for Qin Shilei and the Illusion to kill an ordinary Platinum-tier alien beast.

Ding Teng, who was only at the Gold tier, could not withstand the Illusion's continuous sword attacks.

However, Qin Shilei controlled the Illusion to avoid his vital points. Although he battered the opponent until he was heavily injured and close to death, he still left him with a sliver of life.

As the two seconds passed, Qin Shilei was preparing to take out the Contract Scroll and use the incantations from the Beast Taming Compendium to try and subdue him.

Suddenly, a burst of blood mist erupted from Ding Teng's body, and then he transformed into a streak of blood-red light, vanishing before their eyes in an instant.

"Trying to escape? Not so easy."

Qin Shilei immediately teleported into mid-air, scanned his surroundings, but could not find where the blood-red light had gone.

"City Lord Qin, he might have gone to the City Lord's Mansion. His son is there," shouted Qi Pengju, who had been observing the fight.

Upon hearing this, Qin Shilei immediately directed his gaze towards the City Lord's Mansion.

He indeed spotted a flash of blood-red light in the mansion's back garden.

Teleportation!

Qin Shilei flashed into the back garden, only to see the blood-red light vanish again after another flicker.

Instead, a group of children, around seven or eight years old, were found at the scene.

Qin Shilei teleported back into mid-air. Although he still couldn't find Ding Teng, he detected four Silver-tier nine-star zombies lurking around the back garden.

"Xiao Qiang, go deal with those zombies."

After giving his orders to Xiao Qiang, Qin Shilei returned to the front of the City Lord's Mansion. He dipped his finger into some of the blood left behind by Ding Teng where he had been injured earlier.

Tracking Technique!

Using Ding Teng's blood, he executed the skill he had recently learned. Qin Shilei immediately sensed the opponent's location; he was rapidly heading north.

Lightning Escape!

Following the sensation in his heart, Qin Shilei transformed into a bolt of lightning and rapidly pursued Ding Teng.

After Qin Shilei's departure, the four zombies, acting on Ding Teng's orders, immediately charged into the back garden to rescue their young master.

Unfortunately, they encountered the Gold-tier Golden-winged Thunder Roc, and were annihilated within moments.

Xiao Qiang, after receiving his master's command, also transformed into a phantom and flew northward.

After a considerable amount of time, in front of the City Lord's Mansion, Qi Pengju finally dared to whisper amongst themselves.

"City Lord, is Qin Shilei chasing after that Zombie Emperor?"

"It seems so."

"Do you think that Qin fellow can kill the Zombie Emperor?"

"It appears Qin's strength is greater, but that Zombie Emperor's escape maneuver just now showed no signs of weakness. We don't know if Qin Shilei can find him."

"It would be best if they both perished, so they won't bother our Dudao City again."

"That's not entirely impossible. If that Zombie Emperor lures Qin into a horde of zombies, and then they attack him collectively, it's highly possible Qin Shilei could be taken down there."

A glimmer of hope appeared on their faces.

Gongsun Xi suddenly became worried, "In that case, the Zombie Emperor might very well turn the tables. What will we do if he returns?"

Thinking of Ding Teng's potential return, Qi Pengju's expression also turned grim.

Suddenly, his eyes lit up, and he turned to run into the City Lord's Mansion.

"Let's capture the zombie's son first. Even if he reappears, we can use his son to threaten him."

Perhaps hearing the sounds of fighting, Ding Wenle, who was playing in the back garden, also ran towards the main hall.

He happened to run into Qi Pengju and asked, "Uncle, where is my father?"

Qi Pengju replied with a smile, "Your father is out front. I'll take you to him now."

As he spoke, he walked towards Ding Wenle. Upon reaching him, he raised his hand and brought it down in a chop towards his neck.

His original intention was to knock Ding Wenle unconscious and then tie him up.

However, he was unaware that Ding Wenle, despite his young age, possessed the cultivation of a Silver-tier six-star.

Qi Pengju's chop used less than one percent of his strength. Not only did it fail to knock Ding Wenle unconscious, but it also aroused Ding Wenle's hostility.

"Bad uncle,"

Ding Wenle cried out in his childish voice, then inexplicably produced a saber, nearly as tall as Qi Pengju, and slashed at him.

Boom!

Qi Pengju, caught completely off guard, was sent flying by the blow, crashing into the wall behind him before falling to the ground, spitting out a mouthful of blood.

He looked down and saw that his armor had been split open, and a wound ran from his right shoulder all the way to his left waist, with crimson blood gushing out.

What a good saber, what excellent swordsmanship!

Qi Pengju's subordinates behind him couldn't help but think this.

Qi Pengju roared in fury, "Kill this brat for me!"
