The group of men suddenly noticed a man and a woman on the scene. The woman, in particular, captivated their attention, causing their eyes to gleam as they shouted loudly.
*Crack!*
The response was the sharp crack of a whip, breaking the sound barrier.
One whip strike sent the man's head flying into the sky.
With each resounding crack of the whip, large heads shot upwards.
Most of these men hadn't even reached the Black Iron realm, and couldn't withstand a single move from Kong Qingshu, perishing on the spot.
Qin Shilei's movements were no slower than Kong Qingshu's, perhaps even a bit faster.
It was then that these men realized these were no benevolent souls, but a pair of demons.
They were already trembling with fear, intimidated by the fierce killing intent emanating from Qin Shilei and the woman.
Dropping their opponents, they turned and fled into the distance.
Unfortunately, their speed was no match for Qin Shilei and Kong Qingshu.
Even scattered, they couldn't escape the deadly strikes of Qin Shilei and his companion.
"I surrender, spare my life."
"Mighty one, we have no enmity, why must you be so relentless?"
"Mighty one, I was forced by the young clan leader. I've never harmed anyone, spare my life."
The remaining dozen or so men threw down their weapons, crying and begging for mercy.
Seeing the men who had dropped their weapons and were now kneeling on the ground, Kong Qingshu hesitated.
Qin Shilei, however, did not stop. Since they had made a move, they would exterminate them all.
Witnessing this, Kong Qingshu once again wielded her whip, striking at the men.
Soon, all of Xu Junchu's companions on the scene were annihilated.
Sensing danger, Xu Junchu turned and fled into the distance, while Xu Hongyu gritted her teeth and pursued him.
Just as she was about to catch up, Xu Junchu suddenly turned his horse and attacked.
After activating the蛊 worm within Xu Hongyu, he instantly took her hostage.
Facing Qin Shilei, who approached with killing intent, Xu Junchu said with a ferocious expression, "Stop, or I'll kill her."
"Heh heh."
Qin Shilei chuckled, "The person you're holding hostage seems to be from your Xu family village. She has nothing to do with me. Are you sure you want to use her to threaten me?"
Xu Junchu gritted his teeth, "Don't try to deceive me. You wouldn't have killed my men if you weren't trying to save these women."
"Because I felt like it," Qin Shilei said indifferently. "Now, please accompany me to see your grandfather. Perhaps I can spare your life."
"Stop!"
Seeing Qin Shilei continuing to advance, Xu Junchu applied more pressure to the knife at Xu Hongyu's neck, drawing a shallow cut that bled crimson drops onto the ground.
He said fiercely, "Since you don't know Xu Hongyu, you must have killed my men out of a sense of justice. Can you bear to watch her die before your eyes?"
Qin Shilei asked with interest, "What do you want to let her go?"
Xu Junchu pointed at the car driven by Ma Hongwei. "Give me that car, and don't follow me. Once I'm safe, I'll release her."
"Big brother, you must not believe him."
After Xu Hongyu warned Qin Shilei, she cursed Xu Junchu, "Xu Junchu, you despicable scoundrel! I used to treat you like a big brother, yet you lusted after me and even put a蛊 on me."
"If I hadn't been caught off guard and fallen victim to your蛊 worm, I would have torn you to shreds."
"Shut up!" Xu Junchu suddenly grabbed Xu Hongyu's throat, silencing her.
Looking up again, he said, "Let us leave, or I'll kill her immediately."
Qin Shilei smiled and said, "How about you let her go first, and I'll let you leave?"
"I don't trust you," Xu Junchu quickly rejected Qin Shilei's proposal, adamantly stating, "Either let me take her with me, or we all die together."
"Cough, cough, big brother, kill him, I won't blame you," Xu Hongyu said with difficulty.
She finally understood Xu Junchu's true nature.
If she were truly taken hostage by him, he would never let her go.
Thinking of the lecherous gaze Xu Junchu had directed at her, she feared she would become his plaything forever.
The thought of such a terrifying fate made Xu Hongyu prefer to drag him down with her rather than be taken away by him.
"Speak again and I'll kill you immediately," Xu Junchu threatened fiercely.
Saying this, he tightened his grip on Xu Hongyu's neck with his left hand, causing her face to turn red and her breathing to become almost impossible.
"Brother Qin, this kind of scum, don't waste your words, take him down quickly."
Seeing the young girl about to suffocate, Kong Qingshu immediately urged.
"Alright," Qin Shilei nodded in agreement. "As Miss Kong commands."
Xu Junchu was still wondering what they were talking about when his vision blurred. He suddenly lost sight of Qin Shilei.
Immediately, his right hand stung, and the long saber in his hand fell uselessly to the ground.
Only then did he realize that Qin Shilei had appeared to his right at some unknown time.
Qin Shilei was now tightly gripping his right hand, his wrist almost crushed.
Before he could react, his left hand stung again.
It was Xu Hongyu who had seized the opportunity to bite his left wrist, breaking free from his control.
Then, Xu Junchu felt a chill on his neck.
Qin Shilei's Blood Soul was already at Xu Junchu's throat. "Young Clan Leader Xu, do you possess the Sacred Spirit Gu?"
"You're looking for the Sacred Spirit Gu?" Xu Junchu asked doubtfully.
Qin Shilei's expression brightened, then shifted.
Lightning suddenly flashed across his body.
As the lightning pulsed, three worm-like creatures, about the size of grains of rice, fell from his body.
Simultaneously, a gust of wind swirled around Kong Qingshu, expelling two more worms.
"You actually discovered and killed my Gu worms?" Xu Junchu asked incredulously.
"If you dare to release these disgusting insects again, I will kill you immediately."
Kong Qingshu, recalling the feeling of the insects crawling on her body, felt a wave of nausea and threatened him.
Seeing his Gu worms rendered ineffective once more, Xu Junchu suddenly pointed at the group of women opposite them and threatened, "You'd better release me, or those women will be buried with me."
As soon as he spoke, the women on the other side cried out in agony.
They all collapsed to the ground, clutching their stomachs and vomiting.
"You've put Gu worms on my classmates?" Xu Hongyu asked, enraged.
"Indeed," Xu Junchu said nonchalantly. "If you want to save them, then obediently release me."
He still believed that Qin Shilei and the others were overflowing with justice and wouldn't bear to watch those women die before their eyes.
"Heh heh."
Qin Shilei smiled slightly. "Why don't you understand yet? I have no connection to those people. Why are you trying to threaten me with them?"
"Also, let me remind you, I detest being threatened the most."
With that, he clenched his fist and punched Xu Junchu in the stomach, forcing out his bile.
