The mere scent of the mist made Qin Shilei feel dizzy and disoriented.
Unwilling to test his poison resistance, Qin Shilei dodged to the right, evading the mist. As soon as he stopped, a barrage of fireballs was shot at him. Accompanying the fireballs were ice shards, meteorites, and various other elemental attacks, along with the snapping jaws of several serpent heads.

With Shi Yongzhen distracting the serpent, Qin Shilei attempted to unleash his combat technique, Seven Stars Fall from the Sky, once more. However, the strongest seventh strike could not be completed before being interrupted by the serpent's assault. The Yamata no Orochi was not only tough and resilient, but its eight heads possessed different abilities and coordinated their attacks seamlessly. For a time, Qin Shilei and Shi Yongzhen, fighting together, seemed to be at a disadvantage.
The two men and one serpent fought from the sky to the ground, and from the ground back to the sky. The fierce battle stirred up powerful gusts of wind, felling the surrounding giant trees. After some probing, Qin Shilei had a grasp of the Yamata no Orochi's strength. While powerful, it was not as formidable as he had initially feared.
"Keep it occupied," Qin Shilei instructed Shi Yongzhen before retreating back over a hundred meters.
Heaven-Shattering Sword!
A sharp sword aura shot forth from the tip of his blade, rising into the sky and rapidly forming a colossal sword qi phantom. The Yamata no Orochi, seeing Qin Shilei preparing a major attack, roared, forced Shi Yongzhen aside, and charged rapidly towards Qin Shilei. However, after only a few dozen meters, it felt a premonition of impending doom. The Yamata no Orochi made a decisive move, turning to flee into the distance.

This head, too, was split in half by the sword qi. It was only when the third head was severed that the sword qi began to fade, no longer capable of inflicting fatal damage on the Yamata no Orochi.
Why didn't the divine ability "Stiffening" have any effect? Qin Shilei watched the Yamata no Orochi turn and flee into the distance, his mind filled with confusion.
