Chapter 1756: Chapter 1058: Entering the Eighteen Levels of Hell

“Mother,” Lingling called out, coming back to her senses.

“Lingling, have you been here all along?” Mo Jiuli smiled and asked.

“Yes, I’ve been here cultivating while waiting for you, Mother. Why has this place changed?” Lingling asked curiously, looking around.

“Because I broke the array formation, so it changed! What we saw before as a waterfall was merely a reflection from an array formation!” Mo Jiuli said with a faint smile.

“An array formation? I can’t believe it; I didn’t notice at all!” Lingling said in astonishment.

“Yes, I didn’t think of it either!” Mo Jiuli said, looking around.

“Let’s go rescue father. It’s been roughly six years since we entered the Ghost World, and I have no idea how father and Ming Yu are doing!” Mo Jiuli said with a frown.

“Yes, let’s go!” Lingling replied.

Mo Jiuli and Lingling left Mingqi Forest and headed towards the Netherworld Residence! Upon arriving at the Netherworld Residence, they didn’t choose to stay at an Inn but instead sneaked directly into the City Lord’s Mansion. Lingling handled the invisibility while Mo Jiuli casually set up an Illusion Array, allowing them to easily enter the City Lord’s Mansion and find one of the eighteen Divine Generals, from whom they stealthily took the key to open the doors to the eighteen levels of Hell, and then infiltrated the eighteen levels of Hell…

Then Mo Jiuli made Lingling wait at the entrance while she returned the key to its owner to avoid causing trouble if it were discovered! She wasn’t sure how long it would take to find father and Ming Yu’s whereabouts, so she didn’t want any fires starting behind her while the road ahead remained uncertain…

After Mo Jiuli returned the key without being detected, she brought Lingling into the first floor of Hell, Tongue Pulling Hell. It’s said that anyone who, in life, sowed discord, slandered others, was silver-tongued, argued cunningly, or lied and deceived people, would be cast into Tongue Pulling Hell after death. Little ghosts would pry open the person’s mouth, use iron pincers to grip the tongue, and pull it out alive—not with a single yank, but by slowly stretching it—and then they’d be thrown into Scissors Hell and Iron Tree Hell…

As soon as Mo Jiuli and Lingling entered, they heard waves of ghostly wailing, which were very piercing, making them both shudder. When they looked around, they saw countless little ghosts approaching restrained souls and executing the tongue pulling punishment, which looked extremely horrifying. Fortunately, Lingling and Mo Jiuli were invisible, so even those little ghosts and souls couldn’t detect them…

Though invisible, Mo Jiuli and Lingling were still very cautious. After all, they were there to save someone, and their goal was clear—that is, the eighteen levels of Hell. They didn’t want to concern themselves with additional matters, nor did they have the time or ability to do so!

Quickly, Mo Jiuli and Lingling passed through the first floor of Hell, Tongue Pulling Hell, and went directly to the second layer, Scissors Hell. Between each level of Hell, there’s a barrier door. Due to the Heavenly Book Space’s upgrade, Little book can now ignore most barriers, including those separating the eighteen levels of Hell. According to Little book, unless they encounter some supremely powerful beings, Mo Jiuli, possessing the Heavenly Book Space, should be able to ignore any barrier…

However, the longer Little book spent with Mo Jiuli, the more it felt like what it knew might not be comprehensive, so it dared not be too confident! Fortunately, Mo Jiuli tried using Little book, and these barriers between each layer of Hell were ineffective against her, allowing direct passage, which gave Mo Jiuli some relief…
