Capítulo 779: Chapter 779: So Well Matched
Rong Yin shook his head suddenly, feeling as aggrieved as a puppy: “Alright! I won’t look! I’m just really surprised that she’s your sister.”
Huo Linzhou said: “Finish your homework first.”
Rong Yin pouted: “Got it!”
He grabbed his pen and began to write furiously.
Huo Linzhou glanced over and noticed some furrowing of his brows.
Though Rong Yin wrote quickly, his accuracy was high; generally, after scanning a problem, he could rapidly calculate the answer.
For some application problems requiring formulas, he skipped the formulas altogether, went through them in his mind, and directly wrote the correct answer.
There was a mysterious expression in Huo Linzhou’s eyes.
Who would guess that this kid’s mind is so clever, doesn’t need a tutor at all.
Huo Zijin also walked over curiously to peek and found an error rate of approximately only ten percent on the exercise book.
And that too, with such rapid writing speed.
Most were simply calculated mentally.
She opened her mouth, feeling a bit incredulous.
She knew that Rong Yin was really smart but hadn’t expected his quick calculation ability to be this strong.
Soon, Rong Yin finished his homework, spun his chair around slowly, and said, “Done, want to check my homework for me?”
Huo Linzhou picked up a pen and marked a few mistakes in the exercise book: “Go through these problems again.”
Rong Yin replied: “If I had a hundred percent accuracy rate, I’d directly ace the college entrance exam.”
Huo Linzhou said: “With this efficiency in answering questions, why hire a tutor?”
Rong Yin said: “Hey, hey, hey, that’s not fair! Could it be that Mr. Liang was teaching well?”
As he spoke, he looked at Huo Zijin.
Huo Zijin said: “I’ve changed my name, now I’m called Huo Zijin.”
Rong Yin was surprised: “Are you really his sister?”
Huo Zijin said: “Yes.”
Rong Yin said: “Unbelievable… How did you find out?”
Huo Linzhou packed up Rong Yin’s exercise book and placed it on the desk: “Since the homework is finished, my sister’s task is complete, I’m taking her home.”
He finished speaking and took Huo Zijin’s hand, ready to lead her away.
Rong Yin bounced up, blocking his way: “Hey? Why are you in such a hurry to leave? I’m not a tiger; are you afraid I’ll eat your sister?”
Huo Linzhou said: “Her task was to help you with your homework; now that it’s done, any other instructions?”
Rong Yin said: “I…”
He looked at Huo Zijin with a grievance, silently complaining to her.
Huo Zijin smiled and explained to Rong Yin: “My brother is worried about me being too tired, so he’s eager to take me home.”
Rong Yin looked at Huo Linzhou: “So you care about your sister! I just want to know, how did you guys find her?”
Huo Linzhou smiled gently: “It was my father who recognized her at first glance.”
Rong Yin said: “Turns out, she’s the ‘Yinyin’ you guys have been looking for.”
When Yinyin went missing, Rong Yin had just been born, not even a month old. He only knew that the Huo Family lost a little princess; unexpectedly, it turned out to be her.
No wonder, the first time he saw her, she looked so familiar, like they’d met somewhere before.
Huo Linzhou led Yinyin out of the study.
Rong Yin followed behind like a little tail, eagerly: “Don’t rush to leave! Stay and play with me for a while!”
The three of them had just reached the staircase.
From the living room came the surprised voices of the servants: “Young master is back!”
Huo Zijin looked in the direction of the voice.
Li Junyan had just entered the hallway, and Li Yufei approached him: “Junyan, why are you back so early today? Are you eager to see Yinyin?”
Li Junyan absentmindedly replied with an “Mmm,” and walked into the living room, immediately spotting Huo Linzhou holding Yinyin’s hand at the staircase.
His steps slightly paused, and he raised his head to look at her.
It’s really her…
Li Junyan’s gaze fell upon Huo Zijin, his eyes deepened slightly.
Not giving him the chance to observe closely, Huo Linzhou’s body subtly shifted forward, blocking slightly, with a naturally appearing smile on his face: “Junyan, you’re back.”
Li Junyan collected himself, replied with “Mmm”: “I heard Yinyin has been found.”
Huo Linzhou: “Yes.”
He led Yinyin downstairs, lightly wrapping his hand over Yinyin’s shoulder: “Coincidentally, turns out Yinyin is Ah Yin’s private tutor.”
Li Junyan’s gaze extended past him, landing on Huo Zijin. After a while, he smiled and asked, “Do you remember me?”
Huo Zijin hesitated for a long time, first nodded, then shook her head: “I have a vague impression, but not clear. I only remember, during childhood, there seemed to be someone called ‘Junjun’ who was really nice to me. Was that ‘Junjun’, you?”
Li Junyan’s eyes carried a slight laugh: “Yes.”
Huo Linzhou internally felt uncomfortable.
His sister couldn’t remember him, yet still had an impression of Li Junyan. He only felt a sour bitterness in his stomach: “You remember him but forgot all of your brothers.”
Rong Yin sensed a thick scent of jealousy and couldn’t help teasing: “Linzhou, are you jealous?”
With a “bang,”
Huo Linzhou mercilessly tapped the back of his head.
Rong Yin rubbed his head in pain, protesting pitifully: “Linzhou, can you hit me a bit lighter!”
Huo Linzhou and Rong Yin were locked in a staring contest when Huo Zijin gradually approached Li Junyan.
She raised her head, taking a deep look at him: “No wonder, the first moment I saw you, I felt so close, like… we’ve known each other for a long time.”
Li Junyan said: “Did you forget? As a child, you loved being carried by me.”
He walked over, gently enveloping Yinyin in a hug: “Yinyin, welcome back.”
Huo Linzhou’s eyes widened slightly.
Rong Yin was also a bit shocked.
For a moment, Huo Zijin’s body stiffened, uncertain to move, yet when she felt the warmth of Li Junyan’s embrace, her heart seemed to melt silently, causing her to involuntarily reach out and wrap his waist.
There was a strange aroma on him.
It seemed to be a scent she had liked for a long time.
Li Yufei standing beside showed a gratified smile, feeling utterly content.
When Yinyin was very young, Li Yufei used to joke with Lin Qi that once Yinyin grew up, they should somehow lure her into being her daughter-in-law.
Unexpectedly, seventeen years passed in a blink, Yinyin so grown, blossoming into a lovely young lady, looking so fitting with Junyan.
She was increasingly satisfied.
Li Yufei said: “Yinyin, from now on, treat this place as your home. Feel free to visit anytime.”
She then glanced at Li Junyan: “You love Junjun, don’t you? Over the years, Junjun has been waiting for you to come home.”
