Gong Sirui hugged her waist and kissed her on the cheek. “My parents are eager to meet their daughter-in-law, so they came early.”

“Mom, what are you thinking? She lives next door.”
Gong Sirui was speechless, though he did kind of wish for it, but the girl was unwilling.
Yan Yuexian’s face went completely red. What kind of misunderstanding was this? How did it turn to that topic?
“Really nothing?” Mrs. Gong asked, sounding relieved yet disappointed.
Well, if something happened earlier, it would be fine, too; they might have grandchildren sooner.
“Mom, if there’s nothing else, I’ll hang up now. We’ll be heading down shortly.”
“Alright, you all come out then; Dad and I are almost there…” At that point, there was some noise on the phone, a bit muffled, followed by Mrs. Gong’s raised voice, “Gong Sirui, tell Yan Yuexian not to come over. I will not agree to let her step into the Gong Family!”
