"This is Dorma Anim’s true power!" Faust’s excited voice boomed.
"Dorma Anim: Black Heaven!"
"Nancy, leave me here. Go find the Fairy Tail members," Finn said, turning to Nancy as he faced the colossal Dragon Knight.
"But what if you’re in danger?" Nancy asked, concern etched on her face.
Finn smiled, ruffling Nancy’s hair.
"Don’t worry about me. This thing won’t kill me."
Finn looked at the Dragon Knight, his voice hardening. "It’s the final battle. I can’t hold back!"
Nancy was taken aback. What did he mean? He’d already caused chaos throughout the kingdom, and this was still holding back?
The truth was, he had been. Concerned about magic recovery, he’d been fighting conservatively, using only what was necessary.
But now, there were no more concerns. This was the last enemy. Two swift strikes and it would be over.
"Alright, go. If I lose, you can come back and save me," Finn said with a reassuring smile.
Their shared experiences of life and death had forged a deep bond between Finn and Nancy. He understood her worry.
"Okay, but you’re not allowed to die! I still want to visit your guild, so don’t leave me without anyone to take me there," Nancy finally relented, her concern giving way to Finn’s determined gaze.
She spread her wings and flew towards the distant Fairy Tail members.
"You’re sending your companions away? It seems you intend to face me alone," Faust observed, having overheard Finn and Nancy’s conversation.
Faust laughed at Finn’s comment about using his full power.
The Dragon Knight raised the massive sword connected to its arm, magical energy gathering within it, causing the blade to radiate a blinding light.
"You’re facing the entire Edolas!" Faust roared, his voice echoing across the battlefield.
"So what? Anyone who attacks my comrades will face my blade, even if it’s a whole world," Finn responded coldly, his voice devoid of any emotion.
"All Things in the Universe, Turn to Ashes, Ryūjin Jakka!"
Finn unleashed Ryūjin Jakka’s full power. The blade pointed at the Dragon Knight, and terrifying flames erupted, engulfing the dark sky in a sea of crimson fire.
...
Meanwhile, the floating island in the sky shattered instantly. Two figures burst from the debris, landing on another floating island. The continuous fall of islands behind them indicated this was not their first encounter.
This was the clash between the two Erzas from different worlds.
After finding a new foothold, they charged without hesitation. Each clash of sword and spear created violent magical fluctuations, shockwaves radiating outwards. Chunks of earth and stone flew everywhere, the force of their blows creating a thick cloud of dust.
From the outside, only occasional flashes of light and the sound of thunderous impacts could be seen and heard.
Another violent collision sent both figures flying.
"I never imagined that I from Earthland could be this strong. I suppose it’s not surprising, considering it’s ’me’," Edolas Erza gasped, her spear planted in the ground, her breath ragged, as she surveyed the wounds marring her body. A hint of disbelief tinged her voice.
"You’re not bad either, Knightwalker," Earthland Erza replied.
"I didn’t expect it to be this even."
Edolas Erza chuckled lightly.
"Even?"
"No. You haven’t seen the Ten Commandments’ true form yet!"
A blinding golden light blazed from the spear’s tip. A terrifying surge of magical energy erupted from the Ten Commandments spear.
Earthland Erza’s expression turned serious.
The light subsided, revealing a silver spear tip adorned with golden sakura blossoms, imbuing the Ten Commandments spear with an aura of sanctity. An overwhelming sense of pressure filled the air.
"Sacred Spear: Sacred Ten Worlds!"
Edolas Erza, spear pointed at Earthland Erza, spoke slowly.
"This spear was forged by Edolas’s greatest blacksmith!"
"A single strike possesses the ultimate destructive power to shake the very heavens!"
Edolas Erza’s voice was filled with unshakeable confidence. Earthland Erza sheathed her sword.
"In that case..."
As soon as she finished speaking, golden light enveloped Earthland Erza. A massive golden beam of magical energy erupted, transforming her attire. Pink armor clad her body, a pink ornament adorned her head, and her cape billowed in the wind. She raised her sword.
"Let me show you, Fairy Armor!"
"This armor bears the guild’s name. You know its origins," she said, her tone laced with pride.
Edolas Erza smiled. "Your strongest magic! Excellent!"
Further words were unnecessary. The two powers began to coalesce.
The next moment, both girls roared in defiance.
The Ten Commandments spear’s tip shone with an incandescent light, matched only by the unwavering brilliance emanating from Earthland Erza’s sword.
Finally, the two forces collided with earth-shattering force.
BOOM BOOM BOOM————
A deafening explosion rocked the world, shattering the floating island into countless fragments that rained down upon the land below.
Amidst the billowing dust cloud, both combatants could clearly see each other’s battered and bruised forms.
"My... Sacred Ten Worlds..." Edolas Erza stared at her shattered Ten Commandments spear, her eyes wide with disbelief and horror.
"My armor..." Earthland Erza’s Fairy Armor had been completely destroyed, unable to withstand the immense force of the impact.
With a thunderous crash, the fragments of the floating island beneath their feet crumbled, unable to support their weight any longer, sending both Erzas plummeting towards the ground below.
"We’re both out of magic, but I’ll still beat you! Scarlet!" Knightwalker roared, her voice filled with unwavering determination.
"For eternal magic, I absolutely cannot lose!" Knightwalker unleashed a powerful punch, striking Scarlet squarely in the face.
Scarlet retaliated with an equally fierce blow, her fist connecting with Knightwalker’s face.
"For your so-called eternal magic, how many lives were sacrificed to obtain it?!" Knightwalker shouted, her voice filled with righteous fury.
"You don’t understand! This world is dying, magic is dwindling, this world is perishing! You in Earthland wouldn’t understand!" Knightwalker continued her relentless assault, her words pouring forth in a torrent of emotion.
"The anxiety, the fear, the despair of losing magic! We cannot survive without eternal magic!"
BOOM—
Scarlet caught Knightwalker’s fist, her forehead pressed firmly against Knightwalker’s. Her face was contorted with a mixture of anger and desperation.
"Aren’t we still alive?" she hissed, her voice laced with a hint of disbelief.
"Look closely! Our magic is completely depleted, yet we are still alive!"
"We’re still alive even without magic!"
Knightwalker froze, her eyes widening as she stared at Scarlet.
She was right. They were alive despite having completely exhausted their magical energy. And it wasn’t just them; the same was true for all the residents outside the capital.
They had also lost their magic, yet they were still alive.
Did she truly need magic to survive?
With this question echoing in her mind, the floating island plummeted to the ground below, creating a deafening roar.
After a long moment, the dust settled, and a profound silence descended upon the battlefield.
