Finn ignored Faust’s astonishment, speaking calmly:

"A murky emblem, a rebellious and arrogant talent, surge, negation, paralysis, instant, impede slumber, the crawling iron princess, the self-mutilating clay doll, combine, rebound, extend to the ground, know your own powerlessness!"

"Hadō #90: Kurohitsugi!"

As Finn finished, black, pixel-like shapes rose from the ground, encasing Dorma Anim.

"What in the world is that?!" Faust cried out in terror, utterly bewildered by the unfolding scene.

He didn’t know what would happen if enveloped by this, but a primal instinct screamed danger.

"Move! Move!" Faust frantically manipulated the controls, desperately attempting to escape the encroaching prison.

But Dorma Anim was held fast, unable to perform the acrobatic leaps it had executed moments before.

"Useless," Finn’s voice echoed.

"A fully-chanted Kurohitsugi creates a gravitational current akin to spacetime distortion!"

Finn’s gaze fell upon Dorma Anim, now almost completely surrounded by the black pixel-like shapes.

"This isn’t something you can simply jump out of!"

"No!!!" Unfathomable fear gripped Faust.

With his desperate cry, the Kurohitsugi obscured his last view. The dark energy vanished, and Dorma Anim was replaced by a pure black, rectangular structure.

The top of this structure seemed to have countless blades embedded in it, glinting menacingly.

Finn remained impassive, watching the scene unfold before him.

He sheathed his Zanpakutō. The terrifying flames that had engulfed the sky dissipated as the magical energy supply was cut off. The Kurohitsugi had also vanished.

Only the Dragon Knight remained, half-kneeling on the ground. Countless deep gashes and cracks crisscrossed its surface, threatening to shatter it completely.

Even the armor, renowned for its exceptional resistance to magic, couldn’t withstand the onslaught of a thousand blades within the Kurohitsugi.

It was utterly destroyed, reduced to a pile of scrap metal.

Finn slowly approached the wreckage, peering through the giant crystal in the Dragon Knight’s chest to see Faust lying unconscious within. With a swift punch, he shattered the crystal, seizing Faust by the collar and pulling him out.

Looking at the unconscious Faust, Finn let out a long breath. "That should be the end of it."

...

In a hidden underground chamber, Mystogan and Panther Lily watched the rising magical energy in silence. This was the Anima control chamber. Mystogan was reversing Anima to drain all of Edolas’s magic.

As beams of magical energy surged upwards, the entire land of Edolas trembled. Floating islands plummeted from the sky, kicking up massive dust clouds. The earth cracked, and golden magical energy flowed from the fissures, rising towards the heavens.

The citizens, who had recently returned after the battle’s end, were horrified to discover that all their magical tools were now useless.

Panic erupted, cries of terror filling the air, as if the end of the world had truly come.

"Prince..." Panther Lily finally spoke, his voice filled with a mixture of concern and apprehension. He needed to understand Mystogan’s actions.

Mystogan began to explain. He was reversing Anima to transfer all the magic to Earthland.

"To create a new world, Edolas must be destroyed!"

"Only after experiencing despair can hope be seen. Even without magic, people can live well. To make the people understand this, we must do this," Mystogan stated resolutely.

Panther Lily didn’t object. Most of Edolas’s populace had fallen into a state of dangerous fanaticism. The only way to break this fanaticism was to show them another possibility.

However, Mystogan’s next words left Panther Lily deeply troubled.

The loss of magic would inevitably plunge the populace into chaos and despair. Therefore, a new king was needed to unite the panicked people and lead them towards a brighter future.

To calm the panicked masses, a villain and a hero were required. The villain would be the one who stole the world’s magic, plunging it into chaos; the hero would be the one who defeated the villain, guiding the people towards a new world and becoming the new king.

Mystogan’s decision was...

He would be the villain, and Panther Lily would be the hero.

"Before the panicked people, I, the cause of this chaos, will be publicly executed!"

"As a member of the Royal Army and an Exceed, you have a duty to quell the chaos, lead the people, and become the new king in a world without magic!"

Mystogan’s voice resonated through the chamber.

Panther Lily was stunned, gazing at Mystogan’s unwavering determination.

...

Meanwhile, having lost their magic, the Royal Army soldiers dropped their weapons and fled in terror.

Earthland Lucy smiled, her heart filled with relief.

"Everyone, we’ve won!" she shouted joyfully.

However, except for the Earthland members, no one responded. Even they were now gripped by immense fear due to the disappearance of magic.

"It’s all over," Edolas Gray cried, his voice choked with despair.

"The magic is gone; magic is no longer usable..." Edolas Elfman murmured in a daze.

"Everyone, please calm down. It will be alright," Earthland Lucy attempted to reassure the distraught group.

"How can it be alright?!" Edolas Juvia cried out in anguish, her emotions threatening to overwhelm her.

"This world’s magic is about to disappear! What will happen to our mage guild?!"

Despair completely enveloped them.

"Everyone, panicking won’t help," Edolas Lucy stated firmly, attempting to restore a sense of order.

"Let’s go to the streets and see for ourselves."

"See what?" Edolas Natsu asked, his voice filled with confusion.

"Our future."

Finn, walking alone through the streets, frowned. The cries of the panicked people surrounded him.

After sensing the rapidly dissipating magical energy, he understood what had transpired.

He didn’t believe that losing magic meant they couldn’t survive. His previous world had no magic, yet humanity had achieved things unimaginable to this magical world.

They had explored the heavens and the earth, delved into the microscopic world, and ventured into the vast expanse of the cosmos.

Human potential was limitless; the loss of magic would not necessarily mean the end of their existence.

However, Finn also understood their fear. Adapting to a new world was never easy.

Sighing, as he prepared to leave and find his companions, he was suddenly stopped...

...by a black Exceed blocking his path.

After a brief exchange, Finn nodded.

"I’ll go find some people!" Finn said, then ran off towards the distance.

In the Anima control chamber...

"I refuse! This is utterly foolish!" Panther Lily’s voice boomed, his words filled with outrage and disbelief.

He couldn’t accept Mystogan’s decision.

"Since you destroyed this world, you should take responsibility! You shouldn’t sacrifice yourself; you should step forward and lead this world!" Panther Lily roared.

Mystogan shook his head gently. "That won’t quell the chaos."

"Panther Lily-sama, bad news," a soldier burst into the chamber, his face pale with terror.

"There’s a riot in the city. They’re destroying everything."
