Li Ling laughed out loud, feeling that everything in the world was sweet at this moment!
He coughed out a wad of blood and grimaced in pain as his wanton laughter opened some wounds, but he lazily popped a Grade 1 Rejuvenation Pill into his mouth and left it to do its work. In the meantime, he quickly raised the Earth Escape technique to Perfection by sacrificing 70 Slaughter Points and jumped into the ground, zooming away towards the capital city of Huxian Province right away.
This time, Li Ling knew he had really done it. Those slightly more than two thousand Slaughter Points were absolutely awesome to see, but they all meant that his ’wanted’ level would soar past anything he had ever seen before. If the Qing Shan Sect wanted to capture him for their reputation, then the Boundless Joy Sect would want to perform a livestream of him being tortured day and night!
With the Perfection grade Earth Escape technique, Li Ling felt like his movement through the ground was completely unimpeded. At the Perfection grade, his movement speed had increased to 100 meters per second, just one third of his full speed when utilizing his body cultivation on the ground and far superior compared to the typical movement speed of a Qi Refinement cultivator.
But it was barely enough to satisfy Li Ling at the moment. As such, he unhesitatingly Limit Broke the Earth Escape technique for 50 Slaughter Points, leading to his entire demeanor changing. Previously, even if one couldn’t easily see him, there were some traces inevitably left underground that could be detected by special means.
But now, he had ascended the technique to the Perfection stage Foundation Establishment equivalent, which was the Earth Tunneling Art. Now, his movement speed exceeded what was there before by ten times, slightly above 1 kilometer per second, the maximum speed of a Foundation Establishment cultivator.
Li Ling traveled like this, increasing his cultivation and his various powers in the meantime so that he would be more equipped to deal with the aftermath of this crazy fallout.
First things first, Li Ling limit broke the Qi Restraining Control, which cost 50 Slaughter Points and gave way to the Mana Regressing Art, its Perfected Foundation Establishment equivalent. The rules were the same, Li Ling could present his cultivation as anything from peak Foundation Establishment down to being a mere mortal.
He then limit broke the Golden Bell Shield as well, because this daoist art played a heavy role in his survival after the crazy bombing. The new version was the Golden Blockade Technique, which formed a four-sided shield around the user that was impervious to all physical and energy-based attacks, with great defense that even average Core Formation cultivators would need a few blows to break.
Emphasis on the average though, as those top disciples where he was going would likely have crazy combat power like himself and be able to achieve such feats. Li Ling knew that he was far from being unrivaled in the same realm in the entire world.
Li Ling hummed as he pondered the Qi Sealing Technique versus the Soul Piercing Seal. The demonic sect version of the technique was obviously far more useful, because the Qi Sealing Technique could only temporarily seal a foe but not control their thoughts, while the latter could permanently achieve that.
In the end, he couldn’t afford to be wasteful. Mentally requesting the Infinite Slaughter System to grant a daoist art return, sacrifice or fusion method when it made its next update after he entered Core Formation, Li Ling glanced at the Essence Locking Technique and was puzzled.
This technique was a scalable one, with no limit in terms of utility as long as your cultivation realm could keep up. However, it seemed to have an advanced version according to the Infinite Slaughter System, so Li Ling was interested to see what would come out of it.
50 Slaughter Points gone and immediately, the young man’s face changed as he felt his Sea of Consciousness churn like never before. Immediately, he stopped the Earth Tunneling and came to the surface, sitting cross-legged as he internalized the changes, which were more than just mental.
Shockingly, Li Ling was like this for an entire day, his body rapidly changing aura from burgeoning yang to refreshing yin, his physical features shifting from male to female rapidly over and over again until it reverted back to his normal features.
When he opened his eyes, one could see the Yin-Yang taichi symbols spinning in them, eventually giving way to his natural blue pupils that were filled with extreme shock and wariness.

Naturally, it was a unique one that had never appeared before on Firmament Heaven, and Li Ling was sure that it was not a mere Foundation Establishment technique. Then again, a technique like this that wasn’t linked to realm likely never had such grading, so this was just the advanced version of it.
As for its functions...
Well, firstly, it allowed Li Ling to reverse yin and yang in himself, perfectly and seemingly switching from male to female. It came with completely biological changes, allowing him to either be a father or a mother if he so wished, but naturally he had no wish to change.
Killing wantonly was something he could do, but changing teams to play on the ’opposite’ side? That was where he drew the line.
Still, the ability had its merits, as it would completely allow Li Ling to play many roles and infiltrate places organically that he couldn’t before. Heck, he could even join the Boundless Joy Sect and rise through its ranks if he so chose, but he naturally would not do something like that.
The second ability was that Li Ling could now reverse yin and yang in others, turning burly males into gentle females and lovely females into square-chinned males. This one was conditional and temporary, only usable on those whom he had completely subdued and even then, its duration depended on their natural balance of yin and yang.
The third was that he gained some special charming ability. By releasing his yang as a pheromone, he could intoxicate females into lustfulness, which was also available for him if he wanted to do the same to males if he transformed into his female form.
The fourth was basically some sort of sensation enhancer. During intercourse as a man, his female partners would feel like every thrust was hitting their special spot, and were he a woman, men would feel the same way. Essentially, he had become a miniature incubus-succubus hybrid all of a sudden.
There were also a plethora of minor abilities, along with all the ones it previously had, and this was it at the Entry stage alone!
Because it was unique, it started at the Entry stage and cost... what the hell, 500 Slaughter Points to raise to the Advanced stage?!

Li Ling was puzzled at first, but immediately transformed into his female self and took to the sky, using the Mountain Splitting Sword as a vehicle and his perfected Spirit Sense Control Technique to fly like typical cultivators.
Li Ling was not sure he had gotten everyone at the number 5 market, so it was likely that the Boundless Joy Sect were aware by now and were furiously searching. Camouflaging himself by switching to his female self would remove one layer of suspicion, as the aura and evidence that could be dug up at the site pointed to a male.
Just as he had the Blessed Augury, one should not underestimate these big sects in their means to sniff out problems. The Qing Shan Sect disdained going so far for a mere him because his crime was great, but not egregious. However, the Boundless Joy Sect would likely use every investigative method they could, so Li Ling had to both be fast and be sneaky.
Speaking of that, Li Ling glanced at the divination technique and gritted his teeth, investing 100 Slaughter Points to raise it to the Advanced level. Immediately, he felt the entire world shift in his perception, as if he had gained a new sense on top of his basic five and his spirit sense.
This sense was more esoteric and hard to control, but it made him have a strong premonition of things, and right now, he felt like he was in grave danger. Li Ling immediately channeled his flight and landed on the ground, standing in one place.
However, the danger sense became twice as bad, making him tremble subconsciously. He entered the earth and moved forward, but even though the danger sense was far less than when he was flying and when he was standing still, it was still present.
Li Ling slowed down and changed direction, shooting off to the right. Immediately, the danger sense spiked even greater, causing him to shiver as he veered backward, but the sense from there was even more horrendous, as if death was breathing down on him.
It seemed he had really done it this time. Even though he only had a vague premonition, he could tell that in the day he had been forced to stay in one place, the Boundless Joy Sect had deployed a net to lock him in and regardless of whether he pretended to be male, female or a demon beast, anything that was caught would suffer a gruesome fate.
After trying various methods, Li Ling found that his best bet was to head to the northwest, which he did at his maximum speed. At the same time, realizing the miraculous nature of the Blessed Augury, even granting him a passive form of foresight relating to danger, he resolved to increase it further, for it might be his only way out!
