"Yes, so we need to find a way to discover what's inside the spiritual energy."
Chu Lingwei nodded. She had the same thought, but they currently had no clue as to what exactly was within the spiritual energy.
"Do you think those powerful beings might be after endless lifespans?" Chu Lingwei pondered the words of the Renyan Sect disciple, who mentioned that disciples in the Spiritual Wheel realm had lifespans of less than five hundred years.
"That's a possibility," Feng Ming immediately agreed. Perhaps they feared death and were transferring the spiritual energy from these people's bodies to themselves to achieve eternal life.
"Feng Ming, the substance within the spiritual energy here cannot possibly lead to eternal life."
Huan Mao was somewhat exasperated. If the spiritual energy here could truly grant eternal life, they wouldn't need to cultivate; they could just stay here.
"Have there been any anomalies here?" Chu Lingwei turned to face the Renyan Sect disciple. The fact that this place was sealed indicated that something unknown existed here.
"No, at least not in the hundred years I've been here. There haven't been any changes," the Renyan Sect disciple shook his head. He had traversed the entire spiritual domain and found nothing out of the ordinary.
"We can only try to find a way to break this seal to discover what lies within."
Chu Lingwei stared at the restrictive formation. She had so many divine-grade artifacts in her spatial dimension; surely one of them could break this seal.
"Do you possess such capability?" the Renyan Sect disciple chuckled lightly. Even if her sect had brought her many artifacts, they wouldn't be able to break this seal. "This seal is at least above the Sovereign realm. Our cultivation is suppressed here, so even artifacts cannot exert their full power."
"How have you been cultivating here?"
Chu Lingwei countered with a question.
"It's the same as before. Breakthroughs happen without bottlenecks; the body feels infinitely expandable, able to contain all spiritual energy."
The Renyan Sect disciple did not hide anything. He wanted to understand the secret of this place, and telling her represented a glimmer of hope.
"We can only try."
The Renyan Sect disciple's answer was his own conjecture, aligning with what she had initially thought.
"If you have a method, feel free to try." The Renyan Sect disciple, with his puppet, turned and left.
"Weiwei, he's really gone."
Clearly, he didn't believe Chu Lingwei could break the seal, nor did he have any intention of waiting around.
"Mao Mao, help me set up a restriction. I don't want anyone to disturb me." His departure was for the best; she could now try the artifacts from her spatial dimension.
Huan Mao nodded vigorously and leaped several yards away, leaving Chu Lingwei ample space.
"Weiwei, are you really going to do this?" Feng Ming's body began to enlarge. If Chu Lingwei encountered danger, she could protect her immediately.
"Of course. Our purpose here is to uncover the secret of the spiritual domain." Now that she knew the spiritual energy within the spiritual domain was problematic, she was determined to find out what was inside.
Feng Ming stepped back, her eyes never leaving Chu Lingwei, ready to protect her at any moment.
Chu Lingwei summoned a divine artifact from her spatial dimension. This artifact's seal had unexpectedly broken open after Yu Qinghong entered the space.
Now, she was certain that her spatial dimension was an evolving one. As long as sufficient energy was provided, certain items within the space would be unlocked.
The seven-stringed zither in her hand was a divine artifact that had automatically activated after Yu Qinghong entered the space. It was capable of breaking all obstacles in the world.
Chu Lingwei held the seven-stringed zither, preparing to infuse it with spiritual power. Suddenly, the ground where she stood began to shake violently.
"This..."
Chu Lingwei's heart jolted. Was the divine artifact in her hand this powerful?
No, there was a massive fluctuation of spiritual energy ahead.
"Let's go and see." Chu Lingwei put away the artifact and stepped onto her flying sword, heading towards the direction of the spiritual energy fluctuation.
"Weiwei." Feng Ming, seeing Chu Lingwei leave, quickly pursued her.
A quarter of an hour later, Chu Lingwei fell heavily from her sword.
There was no spiritual energy here.
"Ah, Weiwei!" Feng Ming tried to catch the falling Chu Lingwei. Before she could reach her, her body suddenly shrank, and she fell to the ground with Chu Lingwei.
"Be careful."
Chu Lingwei felt a presence rushing towards her. With no time to hold Feng Ming, she kicked her away and drew her Ice Jade Frost Sword, slashing towards the incoming energy.
"Screech."
A sharp, ear-piercing cry began but was cut short.
Chu Lingwei focused her gaze. It was a bat, already sliced in half by her sword and lying on the ground.
"Weiwei, be careful, there are more!"
Feng Ming leaped up. What kind of place was this, with so many bats?
Chu Lingwei's movements were swift as she swung her sword, continuously hacking at the bats flying towards her.
These bats were enormous, each the size of a small pig. However, they seemed to have lost the ability to fly, either sliding on the ground or making low-level leaps.
After dealing with the attacking bats, Chu Lingwei noticed that she wasn't alone. There were at least a dozen other cultivators fighting these bats just like her.
"Weiwei, it looks like a bat cave ahead. There are too many bats inside; let's leave quickly." Feng Ming retreated to Chu Lingwei's side, rapidly hopping and kicking away a bat that pounced at her.
Feng Ming had no spiritual energy and could only rely on her small feet to fight these bats.
"Let's retreat further to see what's happening." Chu Lingwei nodded. She didn't understand the situation here yet, and mindless slaughter was pointless.
"Weiwei, some spiritual beasts are coming this way." Huan Mao arrived in time, shouting anxiously at Chu Lingwei, "They are filled with rage and are very dangerous."
Chu Lingwei's heart skipped a beat; she already felt the danger approaching.
"You two, quickly enter the spatial dimension." Huan Mao and Feng Ming had no spiritual energy and couldn't help much by staying here.
"Weiwei, hurry and enter the space!" Feng Ming tried to leap into Chu Lingwei's arms, but Huan Mao grabbed her and pulled her into the spatial dimension.
The space belonged to Weiwei; she could enter whenever she wished.
"Are they crazy?"
Within this short period, no less than a dozen spiritual beasts had surrounded all the cultivators present. This time, they were like enraged elephants, stomping heavily on them.
These spiritual beasts had only one goal: to trample to death all the cultivators here.
Chu Lingwei nimbly dodged an attack from a spiritual beast and, spotting a cave behind her, quickly darted inside.
