Chapter 106 Will Help You Become a God

“If Junior Sister doesn't want him to follow, I'll have him leave,” Leng Xingzhi said.

A flicker of surprise crossed Chu Lingwei’s eyes, and she looked up, “Senior Brother, Grandpa Yu’s cultivation is very high.”

If she remembered correctly, Senior Brother’s current cultivation should have reached the Hua Tian realm. Among their generation, his cultivation was considered top-tier, but not invincible.

Yu Qinghong’s cultivation was clearly comparable to the Supreme realm, capable of entering the barrier she had set without breaking it.

Chu Lingwei’s barrier was one that even experts in the Hua Tian realm couldn’t easily break.

“Is Junior Sister worried about Senior Brother?” Leng Xingzhi’s smile widened. “There are many ways to make him leave. For instance, he’s leaving now, isn’t he?”

Chu Lingwei: “…” Senior Brother’s Rain Sea Snow Lotus had originally been prepared specifically for Yu Qinghong.

The shopkeeper, standing beside his young master, felt his heart bleeding at his young master’s nonchalant words. That Rain Sea Snow Lotus was a once-in-a-lifetime treasure, and it had been eaten for such a trivial reason.

“Junior Sister, what do you think of this method?”

“Senior Brother is truly formidable.” Chu Lingwei lowered her head and continued to eat her porridge. The moment Senior Brother entered the inn earlier, he had already discerned Yu Qinghong’s abilities and knew how to easily make him leave.

Perhaps, everything that happened to her in Bohai Town was already within Senior Brother’s grasp.

Leng Xingzhi chuckled softly and quietly drank his soup with his Junior Sister. The Rain Sea Snow Lotus must not be wasted.

Three days later.

Chu Lingwei sat on Senior Brother Leng Xingzhi’s flying artifact, heading straight towards the Ghost King.

“Senior Brother, who do you think that man is, who made the Ghost King Zhu Li kneel?” Chu Lingwei did not hide what had happened to her in Bohai Forest from Leng Xingzhi, especially concerning the Ghost King and that man in black who had made Ghost King Zhu Li kneel.

“There are many powerful beings on the Xuanyuan Continent.”

Leng Xingzhi was currently holding the ghost formation diagram that Chu Lingwei had memorized, which was the formation to enter the mountain.

“Senior Brother, think carefully. In this world, there shouldn't be many people who can make a Ghost King submit, right?” Chu Lingwei stared at Leng Xingzhi, her eyes unblinking.

That man in black was so powerful; he couldn’t have left no trace at all.

She believed that on the Xuanyuan Continent, even the most powerful beings would leave their mark.

“He could be a hidden great master, or from their ghost tribe, or even a demon, or a god,” Leng Xingzhi said, putting down the formation diagram he had sketched. His voice grew increasingly serious. “There are many existences on the Xuanyuan Continent that you cannot comprehend. Their cultivation is immensely powerful.”

Chu Lingwei looked into Leng Xingzhi’s eyes and saw a hint of melancholy in them.

“There are gods in this world?” she mused. The end of the path of spiritual cultivation was godhood.

Chu Lingwei had read in ancient texts that the Xuanyuan Continent had not had a cultivator ascend to godhood for tens of thousands of years, and the cultivators who had achieved godhood in the past were long gone from this realm.

“Why wouldn’t there be? Otherwise, why would we strive to cultivate?” Leng Xingzhi’s gaze softened as he looked at Chu Lingwei. “Have you never considered that you might cultivate the Great Dao?”

“Of course I have,” Chu Lingwei sighed. “But, I probably don’t have that capability.”

For nearly ten thousand years, not a single person had managed to cultivate the Great Dao. She certainly didn't have the confidence to declare that she could definitely achieve it.

She was self-aware enough to know this.

Leng Xingzhi smiled and reached out to stroke Chu Lingwei’s hair. “Perhaps you can.”

“I’ll take Senior Brother’s good wishes.” Chu Lingwei smiled, tilting her head slightly to free herself from her Senior Brother’s hand.

“It’s not just good wishes. You absolutely can cultivate the Great Dao. Senior Brother will help you become a god.”

Leng Xingzhi gazed into Chu Lingwei’s eyes, speaking word by word. His voice remained gentle, but each word struck Chu Lingwei’s heart like a spiritual talisman.

Why would Senior Brother say that?!

Chu Lingwei was somewhat stunned. There was something in Senior Brother’s eyes that she couldn’t understand.

“We’ve arrived.”

Leng Xingzhi stood up and pointed to a mountain not far from them. “Junior Sister, is this the mountain you were talking about?”

“Yes, it’s here.”

Chu Lingwei stood up and waved her right hand, a barrier enveloping them.

Senior Brother was too careless, not having set up a barrier around them or concealed their presence. This would allow them to be discovered.

“Senior Brother, what do we do now?”

“Didn’t you already obtain their rune array? We can just go in directly.”

Leng Xingzhi activated the flying artifact and flew towards the place where the Ghost King had appeared.

“Junior Sister, put this on. It can help you conceal your spiritual energy.” Leng Xingzhi handed over a black robe that resembled the one worn by the Ghost King.

After Chu Lingwei put on the robe, she felt her body become much lighter, and she directly floated into the air.

“Senior Brother, am I a ghost now?” If that were the case, this robe was truly useful.

“This artifact can shield us for an hour. Once the time is up, our spiritual energy will slowly dissipate, so we must be quick.” Leng Xingzhi stood beside Chu Lingwei, his eyes narrowed, his hands constantly shifting as he chanted spells at the hidden formation in the air.

As Senior Brother chanted, the ghost formation that had appeared before Chu Lingwei that night materialized.

Chu Lingwei stared at Senior Brother. He cultivated alone, yet he knew ghost tribe sorcery. How much else did he know?

“Junior Brother, the formation is open. Come with me.” Leng Xingzhi said, then pulled Chu Lingwei’s arm and led her into a vast, primordial space. Fifteen minutes later, they stood in a black street.

Everywhere were people dressed like them, or rather, ghosts.

They floated in mid-air, moving back and forth. Stalls selling various goods lined the streets. The ghosts floating in the air would stop and haggle with each other, just like human cultivators, if they saw something they liked.

Even stranger, Chu Lingwei could understand them.

“Weiwei, buy whatever you like,” a voice transmitted into her mind as Chu Lingwei was feeling bewildered. “Don’t worry, this magical robe will convert your words into ghost language, so you don't have to worry about them discovering your identity.”

Such a high-tech magical robe!

Chu Lingwei couldn’t help but marvel that the world of cultivation was actually more advanced.

“Senior Brother, do we have money?” Chu Lingwei saw people making transactions. The currency they used looked like some kind of fruit. Chu Lingwei could smell a faint fragrance even from a distance.

“Yes. Just tell Senior Brother what you want, Junior Sister.” Leng Xingzhi led Chu Lingwei, starting from the first stall and browsing slowly.
