Chapter 222: New Developments While Sleeping Together

Darling, we're all sleeping under one big blanket~

That evening, after everyone had washed up, they entered the bedroom. Misha's teasing became the first round of 'pillow talk.'

"Darling, we're all sharing one big blanket."

This time, Alain wasn't flustered. After all, sharing one big blanket was the most rational option at the moment.

It would let everyone sleep comfortably while also being a reasonable solution to the lack of space.

Perfect.

"Wouldn't you agree? Bro."

"Agree—my ass!"

Millie was especially opinionated and had been complaining ever since she got out of the shower.

The hat-wearing girl had already taken her hat off. Her ponytail hung down naturally, and a few warm, damp strands of hair clung to her cheek, breaking through a blush born of either shyness or indignation.

"It would've been perfectly fine for me to sleep in the living room, but now...!"

Her indignation didn't escape the notice of the newcomer—Miluo.

"No way! Everyone has to sleep together. Sister Millie absolutely cannot be left out!"

The girl was wearing a nightgown that Misha had bought on a quick trip out earlier. The brilliant light shining in the little princess's eyes left Millie utterly speechless.

"Ugh..."

Millie shot a pleading look at Alain. Crawling forward like a little animal, she whispered the second round of 'pillow talk' into his ear,

"What do I do, Alain!"

Miss Girlfriend was in a full-blown panic. In her eyes, Misha was the 'official' one. And now... someone like her, who was just 'snacking on the side,' was actually sharing a bed with the 'official' one!

"It's fine, bro. We'll use protection."

"That's not what I'm talking about!" Millie nearly bit him.

"That's not fair! Sister Millie is getting a head start! Sister Misha, let's go play around with Sir Knight!"

"Eh? Um... Okay, you'll have to teach me then, Miluo."

The night breeze rustled the plants outside the window as their leaves danced for the moonlight. The shadows of the four boisterous figures flickered in the lamplight before being extinguished by the arrival of midnight.

"Player."

In his sleep, Alain felt as if someone was calling to him.

His hazy consciousness slipped into a stupor. He opened his eyes to see... Miluo straddling his abdomen.

The girl wore a magnificent princess dress with a circlet of dolls on her head, looking for all the world like a real princess.

But her wide, open-legged posture didn't seem to fit the identity of a 'princess' at all.

That was Alain's first thought. He stared at the girl's charming red lips, lost in contemplation.

"Am I dreaming?"

"No, you're still 'awake.' You're about to fall asleep."

Miluo's eyes curved into a smile, her expression exuding a charm and maturity that defied her apparent age.

"That's why you should have a good dream. Because in a dream, anything is possible."

"Like what?"

"Things beyond the law, beyond morals, beyond worldly conventions. Beyond... everything."

She lowered herself, crawling steadily toward Alain.

"Everything you want to do..."

She leaned down, her face filling his entire field of vision.

"...you can do. Whether it's... me..."

A crystalline blush spread across Miluo's face. She gently lifted the hem of her dress.

"Or them." She glanced to the side, and Alain followed her gaze.

On one side of the room was a forest of female flesh.

"How about it? All it takes is one long, beautiful dream. Them, or me, they're all yours—" Her words pulled his attention back to her.

"I don't want it."

Alain answered without a moment's hesitation. A heavy shattering, as if the sky itself were breaking, instantly cleaved the room in two.

Spiderweb cracks spread out from the fracture, even reaching the girl on either side of it.

"Why?" Her face darkened.

"You aren't Miluo. And that pile of flesh isn't Misha."

He was in love with Misha. It was as simple as that.

"I see. In that case..." Miluo paused for two seconds. Then, she looked up, a warm, brilliant smile spreading across her face.

"I will make you see."

Next up was the Safety Guard's panel.

He was about to check Miluo's progress bar when his gaze was caught by an unfamiliar icon.

The icon was a wall-shaped logo, about the size of a thumb, situated in an inconspicuous corner of the Safety Guard panel.

In the icon's lower-right corner was a '1,' which probably indicated the number of uses.

The icon itself was grayed out, likely meaning it was unusable.

"This is the Intranet Firewall?"

He finally understood what 'can be used in any scenario' meant.

"In other words, this skill can be brought into reality? So, does the number 1 mean it can be used once in this reality?"

"The icon is gray, so does that mean I can't use it because I haven't been 'attacked' yet?"

"The versatility of this skill is pretty good."

As Alain was thinking, Misha's voice called out from the living room.

"Alain, time to get up! Don't we have things to do today? Oh, right! Go wake that Millie up!"

"Okay—"

"Okay—"

He shook his bro's shoulder, and she let out a cat-like murmur. Alain then put down his phone and walked out of the room.

"Ah! Good morning, Alain!" Miluo, who was struggling to scoop up some soupy egg with a spoon, put down her utensil to wave at him, splashing a drop of broth on her cheek.

"Morning. Eat up now."

"Okay~"

With a soft 'mm,' he closed the door. Inside the small room, only Millie's deep sleep and the still-glowing screen of his phone remained.

On the screen, the firewall icon on the Safety Guard panel was flickering erratically. One moment it was dim, the next it was blazing a fiery red, as if it had burst into flames.
