Chapter 233 Amassing Good Deeds

Sherry Yang quickly shook her head, banishing the strange images that flashed in her mind. She never used to think such odd things; what was happening to her since she met Zhang Tian and the others?

Professor Li's eyes were filled with tears. "With such an excellent team in Xia, there is no need to worry about cultural relics being lost!" he murmured, wishing he could pull Zhang Tian and the others close and kiss them.

"Professor Li, at this moment, I only wish to use a passage from Mr. Lu Xun to express our gratitude to the donors," Xiao Guang said, his eyes reddened. This was the first time he had witnessed people who would hide relics even in the face of danger. He was deeply moved.

"Xiao Guang, please, go ahead." Professor Li wiped his eyes. These relics were priceless treasures, and it was all thanks to Zhang Tian and his companions.

"When I entered this ancient tomb, I saw it was filled with traps and life-threatening mechanisms. I was terrified and restless. Yet, I found the tomb to be incredibly safe. Upon closer inspection, I saw two words within the tomb: Hero." Xiao Guang recounted, while Sherry Yang broke into a cold sweat. If Zhang Tian heard them praising him like this, he might even applaud. He was even more cultured than Fatty.

Professor Li nodded. "They are all admirable. Let's quickly study the items inside and organize everything. It would be a disservice if they hadn't risked their lives to preserve these artifacts." Professor Li said earnestly, and everyone began to sort through the relics in the coffin.

Professor Chen's gaze turned to the coffin in the center. "Professor Li, look! This coffin, if I'm not mistaken, should be the Black Gold Ancient Coffin. It's remarkable that people back then could extract such pure black gold with their technology." Professor Chen remarked, as they both examined Huang Shuliang's coffin.

"Hmm? This coffin is actually double-layered." Professor Li manipulated a mechanism, revealing a double-layered coffin. The inner coffin was ordinary, but Professor Chen then noticed a newborn weasel lying inside. The weasel was tiny, no bigger than a palm, its body entirely yellow, its small eyes closed, looking like a sleeping baby.

"Professor Li, why is there a weasel inside this coffin?" Professor Chen asked.

"Look, there's a hole on the left. The mother weasel must have given birth here and abandoned it," Professor Li replied, picking up the weasel. It was palm-sized and looked quite adorable. "Professor Chen, perhaps you could raise it?" Professor Li suggested. Professor Chen waved his hand. "I'm not interested in such things. Professor Li, why don't you raise it?"

"Professor Li, I'll raise it. I like animals," a female comrade in the team chimed in. After all, archaeology is not grave robbing, and female experts are more numerous. Women are often more meticulous and can find more buried ancient artifacts.

"Alright, Xiaohua, then this one is yours to raise. Take good care of it," Professor Li said without much thought. It was normal to find small animals in holes, and this little one was abandoned, so it would surely die if not saved. For humanitarian reasons, they would naturally lend a helping hand. Xiaohua hugged the weasel and gently stroked its head. Following this, the expert team resumed their archaeological research.

Outside the screen:

"Why does that weasel look a bit off to me?"

"If we hadn't seen the 'Great Immortal,' who would have cared about a little weasel!"

"Could it be Huang Shuliang reincarnated?"

"Haha, if it really is a reincarnation, then Huang Shuliang is truly pathetic. Cursed to be a weasel in life, and now reborn as one. It's a complete service!"

On the scene, some speculated, while others burst into laughter. Chen Xi looked at Zhang Tian. "Could this weasel be Huang Shuliang?" she asked him.

"I don't know," Zhang Tian replied, shaking his head. Seeing Zhang Tian's indifferent expression, Chen Xi didn't press further. Fatty, standing nearby, said, "Little beauty, do you have a crush on our boss? I advise you to give up; the boss will always be ours." Fatty leaned in closer as he spoke.

"Ugh..." Chen Xi nearly gagged at Fatty's appearance.

"By the way, Old Hu, after this program, we're going overseas," Zhang Tian suddenly said.

"Why?" Hu Bayi asked, somewhat puzzled.

"I heard there's another tomb overseas that hasn't been dug up yet." Zhang Tian smirked, leaving Hu Bayi bewildered. Zhang Tian didn't elaborate, continuing to speed up the playback.

Soon, a day passed. Zhang Tian had been cultivating diligently every day. He didn't have to worry about the construction; as long as there was money, he could be a hands-off manager. However, his parents learned that he had started a conglomerate, and they were confused. They scolded him as a spendthrift for spending so much money on building houses, but they only said it out loud and eventually left him to his own devices.

This morning, Zhang Tian woke up early. "The conglomerate isn't built yet, but we still need to conduct business," Zhang Tian yawned and murmured. The landlord kept pouring money in; how could he not collect? Therefore, Zhang Tian planned to start setting up operations.

"Fatty, Old Hu, come out and greet our clients!" Zhang Tian called out in the courtyard. Hu Bayi and Fatty then ambled out.

"Haa~ Boss, why are you shouting like a desperate woman?" Fatty yawned discontentedly. Hu Bayi remained silent, clearly agreeing.

Zhang Tian smiled. "Our mission today is simple: find wealthy individuals who are either ill or possessed, then help them expel the evil spirits and earn money. This is one of our conglomerate's businesses."

As Zhang Tian spoke, a Daoist priest, Master Yimei, suddenly appeared beside him. He wore a yellow robe, held a whisk, and raised his head with a serious expression. "Accumulating good karma, this is something Master is familiar with!" he said slowly, causing Zhang Tian's face to darken. It was rather strange for a ghost to expel other ghosts. And besides, this guy usually never showed himself, but as soon as there was something fun to do, he popped out.

"I didn't expect my good disciple to grasp the true meaning of Daoism so quickly. Master is happy for you, it's all thanks to my excellent teaching. We must accumulate good karma, and if they repay us sincerely, that would be even better," Master Yimei said sanctimoniously, an umbrella shading him from the sun above his head. Zhang Tian looked dejected, unsure if bringing him along to exorcise spirits would work.

"Boss, damn, exorcise spirits? Is it the kind of evil that Fatty is thinking of? Fatty likes it!"

"Let's go, we need to get to Panjiayuan quickly, or we won't get any spots," Fatty said excitedly.

"Little Fatty, what do you mean by that?" Master Yimei asked haughtily. He was very confident in his abilities. Were there people foolish enough not to believe in his power?

"Panjiayuan is full of Daoist priests, many of them. We need to grab a spot first," Fatty explained. Master Yimei narrowed his eyes, looking at Zhang Tian, feeling that something was amiss.
