Chapter 91: I like the sound of your moan.

Despite their clothes still being on, Charles could feel the warm, sticky evidence of Augustine’s release beneath him.

His breath hitched, his cheeks flushing as he shifted slightly.

"Umm... umm," he purred, clearing his throat before inhaling deeply. "I... I think I have to step down now," he whispered, his voice barely above a breath.

Without waiting for Augustine’s response, Charles quickly slipped off his lap, stepping out of the car.

His legs wobbled slightly as he made his way toward the towering banyan tree, his pulse still racing from the intensity of the blissful moment.

"Fuck!" Augustine cursed under his breath, sniffing as he adjusted his shorts.

His body still tingled with lingering pleasure, but the heat inside the car was suffocating.

Without bothering to shut the door, he stepped out, inhaling the cool night air.

Augustine made his way towards Charles and as Augustine stood beside him, he shoved his hands deep into his pockets, his chest rising and falling as he tried to steady himself.

For a moment, he said nothing—just lifted his gaze toward the vast, starlit sky, letting the silence stretch between them.

They stood in silence, the cool night breeze weaving through their clothes, making the trees sway in a rhythmic dance.

The world around them felt still, yet alive, wrapped in an air of quiet intimacy.

"I... I want to say thanks," Augustine whispered, his voice barely carried by the wind.

Charles turned his head, his gaze settling on Augustine whose gaze remained fixed on the sky, his expression unreadable. "What are you thanking me for?" Charles asked, his voice soft yet laced with curiosity.

Augustine let out a soft scoff, his Adam’s apple bobbing as he swallowed hard.

Slowly, he pulled his hands out of his pockets, shifting his gaze to lock onto Charles’s.

"Charles, you know what I’m thanking you for," Augustine murmured, his tone carrying a quiet intensity.

Charles narrowed his eyes, shaking his head slightly. "I have no idea why you’re suddenly thanking me," he countered, his voice steady, his expression unreadable.

Augustine swallowed hard, his fingers drifting to the back of his neck as he began to scratch it absentmindedly.

"Well... I’m thanking you for... for the... for the dry hump," he mumbled, his voice barely above a whisper, as if embarrassed to say the words out loud.

Charles’s cheeks instantly flushed a deep shade of red as he rolled his eyes at Augustine.

"I didn’t do it just for you," he muttered, his voice laced with defiance as he eyed Augustine from head to toe, before turning his gaze toward the banyan tree. "I did it because I wanted to enjoy myself too."

Augustine scoffed, his lips curling into a smirk as his shoulders lifted in barely contained excitement.

Augustine closed the small gap between them, his shoulder gently nudging Charles’s in a playful yet intimate gesture.

The subtle touch drew Charles’s attention away from the tree, his brows arching as he turned to look at Augustine, curiosity flickering in his gaze.

"Did you enjoy yourself?" Augustine inquired as an amusing teasing smirk became plastered on his lips.

"H-huh?"

Augustine let out a soft chuckle, his gaze never leaving Charles. "Oh, come on. You heard exactly what I said," he teased, tilting his head slightly. "Did you enjoy yourself?" He probed, repeating his previous question because Charles pretended not to have heard his words for the first time.

Charles huffed, rolling his tongue inside his mouth before crossing his arms over his chest. "What’s there to enjoy?" he shot back, his tone carrying a hint of defiance.

Yet, the slight flush on his cheeks betrayed him.

"The fact that you sound upset shows that you’re trying to hide how much you actually enjoyed it," Augustine teased.

"No! I didn’t enjoy anything!" Charles snapped defensively, but that alone told Augustine everything he needed to know.

Augustine smirked, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Oh really?" he drawled, stepping a little closer. "Then why are you getting so worked up?"

Charles scoffed, turning his head away. "I’m not worked up," he muttered, but the way his arms tightened around his chest told a different story.

Augustine chuckled. "You’re adorable when you lie," he murmured, tilting his head as he observed the faint pink dusting Charles’s cheeks. "But it’s fine. I already know the truth."

"Fuck off! I already told you I didn’t enjoy anything so why are you trying to force words out of my mouth?" Charles snapped with a cold voice.

"Hey! Why are you being defensive all of a sudden?" Augustine probed, tilting his brows upwards.

Charles hissed, turned around and then he made his way back inside the car.

As he got seated, he wrapped his hands across his chest while frowning heavily.

Augustine took a deep breath, savoring the crisp night air before turning on his heels and heading back to the car.

As he shut the door behind him, his gaze instinctively drifted toward Charles, whose expression made it clear—he was more than just a little upset.

Augustine turned on the car engine but before he stepped on the car gear, he glanced at Charles one more time.

"Pftt!"

Augustine exhaled, leaning in toward Charles, but just as he was mere inches away, Charles dropped his arms from his chest and firmly pushed him back.

"We already did a lot today," Charles stated coldly.

Augustine chuckled, running his tongue across his lips before biting down on them for a few lingering seconds.

As he slowly released his teeth from his lip, he tightened his grip on the steering wheel, his gaze flickering toward Charles with a smirk.

"Even though you’re pretending that you didn’t enjoy it," Augustine murmured, his voice deep and laced with desire, "I want you to know—I did. I enjoyed second of it." Augustine stated, his voice steady and sincere.

He shifted gears smoothly and started driving down the road, a teasing smirk playing on his lips.

"Pookie, just so you know, the only reason I leaned in was to help you fasten your seatbelt," Augustine drawled, stealing a quick glance at Charles. "I wasn’t planning on kissing you, so don’t get too excited, okay?"

Augustine’s words felt like an insult to Charles, but he chose not to dwell on them.

Instead, he scoffed quietly, rolling his eyes.

’Besides, did I ever say I thought he was about to kiss me?’ Charles inwardly questioned, pressing his lips into a thin line to mask his irritation.

Augustine who had caught a glimpse of Charles rolled their eyes and shook his head sideways. "I... I..."

He wanted to tell Charles that he liked him, but knowing it would only spark irritation, Augustine decided to keep his thoughts to himself.

Instead, he shifted the conversation, his tone turning casual.

"How’s your health?" he asked, glancing briefly at Charles as he navigated the road.

Charles replied to Augustine’s question with a brief nod.

"Do you plan on going to pay a visit to the..."

"Augustine," Charles called out, cutting the phrase of Augustine before he could even complete his sentence. "I thought we both came to an agreement that you wouldn’t check my medical records, so why the hell do you want to know if I am going to pay a visit to the hospital?" Charles snapped, his voice laced with irritation.

His glare was sharp, making it clear just how offended he felt.

"Pookie, I didn’t plan on asking if you want to pay a visit to a hospital," Augustine clarified, his tone smooth yet teasing. "I plan on asking if you were going to pay a visit to the restaurant that you work at." Augustine explained.

Speechless!

Charles found himself momentarily speechless as he slid his glasses down from his hair, letting them rest properly on the bridge of his nose.

’What the hell is wrong with me?’ He inwardly thought to himself as he glanced outside the car window.

The car ride became extremely silent and after minutes of driving, Augustine finally pulled into his mansion’s compound

He pulled over his car at the garage and without hesitation, he stepped out, the cool night air brushing against his skin.

Making his way around the car, he reached for the handle and smoothly opened the door for Charles, his gaze lingering on him for a moment.

Charles continues to remain seated inside the car and that alarms a concern within Augustine.

"Pookie, are you alright?" Augustine probed.

Charles stepped out of the car, biting his upper lip as his gaze lingered on Augustine, watching the way he locked the door with effortless ease.

Side by side, they made their way toward the entrance of the sitting room but just as they climbed the first step, Charles suddenly caught Augustine’s wrist, lifting it toward his lips with a slow, deliberate motion.

Augustine’s breath hitched as Charles’s warm lips hovered just above his skin. "I like the sound of your moan," Charles purred, his voice low and dripping with seduction, each word laced with deliberate intent.

His breath ghosted over Augustine’s wrist, sending a shiver down his spine.
