The castle gate closed after the werewolf left.
The blind werewolf heard the sound of the door closing and finally realized it had been abandoned.
It threw its head back and let out a roar. Ning Wei and the others were not werewolves and could not understand its words, but they could discern the emotion in its voice.
It was filled with anger and unwillingness!
At the same time, there was a hint of resentment in its voice. It resented its companions, it resented its own incompetence, and most of all, it hated Ning Wei, the culprit!
In this place, they had always been the apex predators, never imagining that one day they would be retaliated against by the humans they hunted.
"You all go rest on the sofa first. I'll deal with it myself!" Ning Wei looked at the blind werewolf, her eyes full of killing intent.
They all helped each other to sit down, watching Ning Wei in silence.
The werewolf knew its death was imminent, but its dignity as a hunter would not allow it to stand still and wait for death.
The werewolf attacked again. Its ears twitched, but it forgot that there were several people here.
It couldn't distinguish Ning Wei's direction, so Tang Tang and the others picked up various objects and threw them at the werewolf to disorient it.
Before the werewolf could be driven to madness, Ning Wei's eyes were resolute. She first chopped off the werewolf's two arms with an axe, then stood directly in front of it and severed its head with the axe.
The werewolf's pierced eyes stared blankly as its head rolled a few times on the ground.
Its body still stood in place, its toes still moving. Even the arms that had been severed and lay on the ground showed slight movements.
This demonstrated how vibrant the werewolf's vitality was and how much energy pulsed within them.
The axe was stained with blood, which dripped down the wooden handle into Ning Wei's palm.
Her palm felt sticky. Ning Wei frowned and kicked the werewolf's body. To her surprise, the werewolf was sent flying, its body falling against the wall like a tattered rag. Due to the recoil, it fell heavily back to the ground.
"Whoa!" everyone exclaimed, surprised by Ning Wei's strength, capable of kicking a two-meter-tall werewolf so far.
Ning Wei herself was also astonished. She looked down at her leg, her eyes filled with confusion.
Tang Tang quickly ran over and touched Ning Wei's leg. Apart from being slender and long, it looked no different from hers.
"Did you eat a strength pill?" Tang Tang asked her, looking up with innocent eyes.
Ning Wei flicked Tang Tang's forehead with her finger. "You watch too much animation."
At this moment, the sticky feeling on Ning Wei's palm disappeared. She curiously put down the axe and saw the ring absorbing the werewolf's blood.
As their eyes met, Ning Wei felt as if the ring had also sensed her, and it immediately stopped its work.
Tang Tang also looked on with curiosity. "This ring is amazing!"
Ning Wei's smile was warm, for she was thinking of someone.
Tang Tang was about to call her teammates over to see, but as she opened her mouth, she immediately covered it.
There were more people here than just them, so it was better to keep such a treasure hidden.
Ning Wei still had blood on her hands. She gently touched the ring and said softly, "So you can absorb werewolf blood too. My immense strength must be you secretly helping me, right?"
The ring flashed red, as if answering Ning Wei's question.
Tang Tang looked on enviously. Even though that person had left, why was this darned PDA still being force-fed to her?
A thick scent of love filled the hall, but unfortunately, only Tang Tang, who was closest to Ning Wei, was suffering from it.
"You go rest first and help them with their wounds. I'll be there in a bit." Ning Wei looked at the still bleeding werewolf body, planning to let the ring absorb it all, considering it the werewolf's last act of usefulness.
Tang Tang nodded lightly and turned towards the sofa.
They all had wounds, though varying in severity. Song Zhi's was the most serious.
He was quite pleased with himself now. As Zhu Yilian and the others tended to his wounds, he arrogantly declared, "Scars are a man's medals!"
Zhu Yilian was not about to indulge him. She applied more pressure, causing him to grimace in pain.
Song Zhi wanted to lash out, but he remembered that this foolish Zhu Yilian had rushed out without waiting for his cry for help. Given her reckless courage, he couldn't argue with her anymore, or rather, he decided on a temporary truce.
Ning Wei squatted beside the werewolf's corpse and said to the ring, "Drink up quickly. Drink a lot. I'll need your help more tomorrow night."
According to Ning Wei's estimation, the werewolf only came once a night. If they could repel them, they would be safe for the night.
She placed her hand over the bleeding wound on the werewolf's neck and glanced back at the battlefield.
Tables and chairs were overturned, even many of the curtains had been ripped down, not to mention the blood all over the floor.
This was far more shocking than the crime scene they had seen when choosing their rooms. The pungent smell of werewolf blood filled the air.
Ning Wei had not returned to the sofa. The others, seeing her strange behavior, were not surprised.
They had all seen Li Ye give Ning Wei the ring.
They could all guess where Li Ye's abilities came from.
What puzzled them was that the ring could also function on Ning Wei.
Whether it was the ring itself or Li Ye was somehow protecting Ning Wei through the ring, indirectly protecting them, these useless individuals, was unclear.
The ring was very perceptive. It had initially been afraid of being discovered by Ning Wei, so it had secretly absorbed the blood. But it had been discovered so quickly.
With Ning Wei's permission, the ring began its feast.
The ring absorbed all of the werewolf's blood before Ning Wei finally got up and walked towards her teammates.
Their wounds had already been bandaged. There was no medicine here, so they could only temporarily stop the bleeding with cloth.
Ning Wei looked up at the wall clock. It was two in the morning.
After driving away the werewolf, everyone was exhausted and slumped on the sofas to rest.
"Let's go back to our rooms and sleep. It's still early, we can't stay here all night," Ning Wei said to them.
Mei Nan looked worried. "Will the werewolf come back?"
"According to my guess, they only come once a night. Once this door is closed, it won't open again, so you can rest assured."
Mei Nan breathed a sigh of relief. They had absolute faith in Ning Wei's words.
"Then let's go back to our rooms and sleep."
They all got up one by one, with Ning Wei walking last.
Upon reaching the third floor, everyone hesitated again. The werewolf had already been here, so should they sleep in their own rooms, or could they choose again?
There were a total of seven rooms. Song Zhi's room was not a safe house.
The other rooms had already been opened, and they didn't know if they still counted as safe houses.
