Madam Jade

Chapter 28 Academy Stand Nine

Teacher Lu held a special position at the school. The supervisor brought her up to intimidate Song Zhi.

However, Song Zhi was determined to take Ning Wei away. "It's fine for her to finish helping me move the materials before coming back to work. There are still many students who haven't finished eating."

The supervisor's face darkened. He stood in silence, confronting Song Zhi.

Song Zhi was tall and strong and wasn't intimidated by the short, stout supervisor.

In the end, the supervisor relented. "Fine, but you must come back to clean up later."

Song Zhi agreed and prepared to leave with Ning Wei.

"Wait, I'll put the towel back," Ning Wei called out to Song Zhi. She turned and went back to the kitchen. As she put down the towel, she subtly took a small item with her, unnoticed by anyone.

The supervisor reminded Ning Wei to be sure to return, so he wouldn't have to explain to Teacher Lu.

Ning Wei nodded.

Outside, Song Zhi relaxed somewhat as he saw no one around.

"If Fu Chengwei hadn't told me, I wouldn't have known that Teacher Lu was so wicked!"

Ning Wei looked at Song Zhi, baffled. "Isn't it because of you that she's been targeting me?"

Song Zhi was rendered speechless by her retort, yet Ning Wei was speaking the truth.

He was also helpless. Who could have imagined that teacher would take a liking to him?

"Why don't you just give in to her? Maybe then she'll leave me alone," Ning Wei suggested kindly.

Song Zhi shook his head like a rattle drum, and said sternly to Ning Wei, "I am not that kind of casual man!"

Ning Wei rolled her eyes and ignored him.

The two of them indeed moved some materials from the library. It was already dark outside, but the cafeteria lights were still on. Ning Wei wondered who they were waiting for.

Ning Wei suddenly appeared in the office. Teacher Lu looked surprised. "What are you doing here?"

Ning Wei looked at her innocently and shifted the blame. "Teacher Song asked me to move some materials."

At that moment, Song Zhi also entered, carrying a large stack of books, and received two very different looks.

Song Zhi feigned calmness and kindly reminded Teacher Lu, "Students should prioritize their studies. Don't punish them by making them clean toilets and the cafeteria. It's too much of a waste of study time."

Teacher Lu seemed displeased and pouted, as if acting coy with Song Zhi.

Song Zhi's skin crawled, but he forced himself to maintain a friendly demeanor.

Finally, after Song Zhi pleaded and flattered, Teacher Lu agreed to let Ning Wei return to class for evening study.

Upon receiving permission, Ning Wei bolted out of the office, leaving Song Zhi alone to deal with the infatuated Teacher Lu.

Back in the classroom, Fu Chengwei was already asleep at the last desk. Seeing how soundly he slept, Ning Wei figured he wasn't worried about her at all.

Ning Wei entered through the back door. As she passed his desk, she pretended to accidentally kick it. Fu Chengwei startled awake, jumped up, and looked at Ning Wei, who was already back at her seat, in a daze.

Fu Chengwei, who dared not show his anger, took a chicken leg from his desk and began to gnaw on it.

In the classroom, all the students were quietly occupied with their own activities. The students in the front rows were studying, while those in the back were slacking off.

Since they were not allowed to bring their phones into school, they found other ways to pass the time.

They either passed romance novels around or played Gomoku on paper.

No one spoke, and everyone maintained a默契 silence.

Ning Wei heard a "rustling" sound and turned to see her deskmate furiously writing.

She had her hair in a ponytail, a thick fringe over her forehead, and wore an exaggerated pair of large black-rimmed glasses. She had never once looked up, and Ning Wei still didn't know what she looked like.

Since they couldn't talk, Ning Wei tried to pass her notes.

But her deskmate didn't even look, stuffing every note Ning Wei passed into her desk.

What a strange person! She seemed completely absorbed in her studies, indifferent to everything else in the outside world.

Without a teacher supervising them from the front, as long as they didn't make noise, they could do whatever they pleased.

Ning Wei, however, was determined to get a reaction from her deskmate. The more she was ignored, the more she wanted to provoke her.

But no matter what she did, her deskmate remained unmoved. Ning Wei grew bored and picked up a book to read.

Because of her injured foot, Teacher Lu only came into the classroom once during the entire evening study session.

Today was a smooth day, with no passenger deaths.

After evening study, Fu Chengwei and Ning Wei sneaked into the small grove again. They had found nothing useful today and hoped to get some valuable information from other passengers.

The method to obtain a ticket was to survive and receive her permission. They still hadn't figured out who "she" was.

Under the osmanthus tree, they actually found something: a leaflet.

It described the basic situation of the school, stating it had been established for thirty years and that many excellent students entered prestigious universities each year.

The school had strict management, so students could only wear uniforms, strictly adhere to school rules, and plan their time according to the school's schedule.

It listed many regulations requiring cooperation from both students and parents, and also painted a grand picture for the parents.

As long as they studied here, they would have no trouble getting into good schools, and even key universities were within their easy reach.

It was precisely this reason that attracted many students to seek education here.

The closed management, the promising future promised, and how many students' lives were harvested behind the scenes, perhaps only the old-timers of the school would know.

After reading the leaflet, the two returned to the dormitory.

There were ten minutes left before lights out. Ning Wei rushed and ended up washing up in the dark on the balcony.

Going to the restroom before bed was a compulsion for Ning Wei.

This time, she found something strange in the trash can again.

Torn pieces of a school uniform skirt, with faint bloodstains visible. The threads were all frayed, and it looked like it had been ripped apart violently.

Beneath it was a pair of light blue underpants, also with traces of blood.

This time, Ning Wei saw it very clearly but remained outwardly calm.

When she came out of the restroom, she found her deskmate standing at the restroom door, holding her stomach as if in discomfort.

As she brushed past Ning Wei, she caught a whiff of male sweat and blood.

When her deskmate came out of the restroom, Ning Wei slipped back in.

This time, there were no uniform pieces or underpants in the trash can, only many tissues stained with blood.

The clothes and underpants earlier had been deliberately placed for Ning Wei to find by the ghost, but the tissues she saw now had truly appeared.

That deskmate must know something, and she was going through something terrible!

Unfortunately, the girl was unapproachable. Ning Wei hadn't managed to exchange a single word with her yet.
