The ghosts left only one sentence: they wanted Zhang Haiyang to go to hell with them!
Ning Wei, as the spokesperson for the ghosts, naturally had to fulfill their wish.
Since everyone's minds were aligned, it was time to discuss the plan.
First, this ocean park was too vast, so they needed a map, preferably one that marked the dangers in each area. Most importantly, they needed to find Zhang Haiyang's hiding place.
Three people per group, they would go to different areas separately, armed with paper and pens to draw the map as they went. Finally, the six groups would reconvene to compile the information and create a rough map.
Ning Wei somehow found a handful of whistles, likely left behind by former staff.
Each person received a whistle. If they encountered a danger they couldn't handle, they were to blow the whistle. Anyone who heard the sound nearby was obligated to rush to their aid, a rule they had agreed upon beforehand.
Marine creatures had always been relegated to the role of performers or exhibits. But in this ocean park, their roles were drastically different.
They had all personally witnessed fingers inside the stomach of a walrus, which greatly changed their perception of these animals.
If they encountered even one, even a group of three wouldn't dare to claim they could retreat unharmed.
However, Ning Wei had already explained how to handle such emergencies: "Everyone must carry a tool. Don't blow your whistle at every danger. Don't forget our mission today is to map the area!"
Everyone nodded, mentally preparing themselves.
Since Ning Wei and Li Ye were sufficiently capable, their team didn't need an extra person, meaning one group would have four members.
There were several passages of varying sizes leading out of the cafeteria. Each group chose a different one.
Mei Nan, along with Song Zhi and Yuanyuan, was in a group. Mei Nan now held the ivory tusk.
"When we encounter a walrus, I'll get you a tusk too," Li Ye whispered to Ning Wei.
"Can't you just give me the one you have?" Ning Wei teased, trying to provoke him.
Li Ye handed the ivory tusk to Ning Wei without hesitation.
"No need. The tusk will be more useful on you. If we're unlucky enough to encounter a walrus, I'll have to rely on Butcher Li," Ning Wei said playfully, then tiptoed to pat Li Ye's shoulder.
Li Ye looked helpless and nodded slightly, indicating he would protect her.
As they walked, they made notes with paper and pens.
The ocean park had been meticulously designed. Even the narrowest passages were filled with brilliantly colored fish, and the surroundings were decorated in a particularly cute manner, making it ideal for young girls or children to take photos.
But for Zhang Haiyang, this place was the perfect location to select test subjects.
Visibility was poor here, making it easy to incapacitate someone.
Secretly, without a trace.
Even in a small passage no more than three meters long, Ning Wei meticulously recorded its details.
If Zhang Haiyang released all the walruses, this dead end could not be used as an escape route.
They made rapid progress, opening every door to see what was inside and noting it down.
If they found a useful tool, Ning Wei would also grab a couple.
Suddenly, a faint but urgent whistle sound reached their ears.
"Someone's in trouble," Ning Wei told Li Ye.
Li Ye grabbed Ning Wei's wrist, holding the ivory tusk in his other hand. "Let's go!"
The whistle was too faint for Ning Wei to discern its exact location.
But Li Ye's hearing was exceptional, like a dog's.
Following Li Ye, they rushed to the source of the whistle sound at maximum speed.
It was Mei Nan's group. Yuanyuan stood on the side, her mouth stuffed with the whistle, still blowing it frantically.
Ning Wei ran over, patted her shoulder, and handed her a useful tool she had found earlier.
"Stop blowing. We're here now."
Yuanyuan responded dazedly, "Two walruses suddenly rushed out of a passage. Teacher Mei lured one away!"
Ning Wei looked over. Li Ye was already using the ivory tusk to help Song Zhi.
Teacher Mei was elderly and couldn't possibly defeat a walrus alone. Crucially, he hadn't blown his whistle for help, which worried Ning Wei.
"Which direction did Teacher Mei go? I'll chase after him now!"
Yuanyuan snapped back to reality, pointed in a direction, and told Ning Wei, "He ran for about two minutes. You should be able to catch up."
"I'm going now. Once you've dealt with the walrus here, come and help us."
Ning Wei wasn't confident she could handle a walrus operating freely. Even with Mei Nan's help, their chances of winning were slim.
After she left to chase Mei Nan, Li Ye glanced in that direction and intensified his efforts.
The area was heavy with Yin energy and resentment, which the bead on Li Ye's body absorbed, converting it into energy that flowed into his body.
Therefore, dealing with a walrus was not a significant challenge for Li Ye.
Although walruses ate people, they were clumsy. Moreover, the wide space here gave Li Ye ample room to maneuver.
In less than five minutes, he had dispatched the walrus using its own ivory tusk.
After the walrus died, Li Ye grabbed one tusk in each hand and yanked them out forcefully. With a bang, the two tusks fell to the ground.
"Pick up the tusks. I'm going to find Ning Wei!" Li Ye's voice was tinged with urgency.
Song Zhi sat on the ground, panting. Yuanyuan picked up the two bloody tusks, handing one to Song Zhi and keeping the other for herself.
Compared to the tools Ning Wei had given them, these tusks were more practical.
Song Zhi didn't forget to gossip while resting. He nudged Yuanyuan, "Are Ning Wei and Li Ye dating behind our backs?"
Yuanyuan rolled her eyes and didn't bother to reply.
Despite getting no response, Song Zhi continued to talk to himself, "They must be! Look at them, always together. Even when they split up, they don't let anyone else join their teams. Isn't that proof enough?"
Song Zhi, getting agitated, slapped his thigh forcefully.
Yuanyuan's icy gaze fell on him. "If you've rested enough, we should go find Teacher Mei."
"Almost forgot about Teacher Mei!" Song Zhi exclaimed energetically.
The two picked up the tusks and followed in that direction, one after the other.
After walking about a hundred meters, they found Mei Nan cornered by a walrus in front of a large jellyfish glass wall.
He was panting, a hint of despair in his eyes, his grip tightening on the wooden stick in his hand.
He had found the stick in a storage room, but against a walrus, it was useless.
A whistle hung around his neck. If all else failed, that was his last hope.
Mei Nan fought the walrus with the wooden stick, but the walrus easily bit through it.
