Chapter 178 Marine Park Twelve

As the three entered, Bai Xue saw her sister.

Behind her were several plump walruses, their tusks covered in blood and bits of flesh.

Bai Xue couldn't imagine what this group had encountered. She didn't even have time to react, her courage alone pulling Bai Yang in.

Bai Yang was the last to enter. The moment she stepped inside, the clock struck exactly eleven.

The instant Bai Yang’s feet crossed the threshold, a massive iron gate crashed down from the narrow doorway.

Had it not been for Bai Xue's swift action, Bai Yang might have only entered partially.

Clap, clap, clap. The sound of applause came from ahead.

Bai Xue looked over to see Zhang Haiyang.

“I knew there would be a good show. What exactly did you all run into?” Zhang Haiyang approached and asked the young man.

Though the young man had entered, he looked so stunned he couldn’t speak.

Receiving no response, Zhang Haiyang wasn’t angered. He reached out, touched the blood on the young man’s face, and licked his finger.

“It smells a bit. Do you want to go wash up at the pool in front?” he asked, genuinely seeming to offer advice.

The young man glanced at him and then slowly crawled to the edge of the pool.

He cupped his hands in the bottomless pool to wash his hands, then used his clean hands to scoop water and splash it on his face.

The clean water mingled with the blood, turning into bloody water as it fell into the pool.

The bloody water spread, creating ripples in the pool.

Everyone seemed to have overlooked something: as the young man neared the pool, the sound of the water bubbling had ceased.

Bai Xue helped Bai Yang slowly back to the audience seats. Li Zi'ang also supported someone whose legs were weak from fear, while the remaining two slowly walked to their seats.

Zhang Haiyang remained on the stage, smiling at everyone.

The young man finally finished washing, his clothes accidentally getting wet too.

Just as he was about to stand and rejoin his teammates, a pair of hands emerged from the water, and a giant fish tail sent a spray of water into the air.

Before anyone could react, there was a dull thud, and the young man vanished.

Only the gurgling sound remained on the water’s surface. A struggle could be seen momentarily, but it quickly disappeared.

He didn't even utter a word before disappearing in the blink of an eye.

Soon, red flowers began to bloom on the surface of the water.

Zhang Haiyang applauded again, his face beaming like a flower.

Everyone watched him expressionlessly. He ignored them, his arrogant demeanor piercing everyone’s hearts.

It seemed the pool was indeed dangerous. Fortunately, no one had taken the seats closest to it.

Someone glanced behind him. There were several more rows of seats. He quietly tried to move further back.

His movements were slow, but Zhang Haiyang, standing at the front, couldn't have missed it. He didn't stop him, implying there was a hidden motive.

This person was still looking down, trying to change seats, completely unaware of his surroundings.

“Don’t go!” Li Zi'ang sensed something was wrong and immediately tried to stop him.

The man was left with his buttocks suspended mid-air, unable to move forward or back.

He glanced at Zhang Haiyang, finding him still smiling.

Ever since they had entered this place, Zhang Haiyang had maintained his smile. It was an unreadable expression, offering no insight into his thoughts.

This man, though slow to grasp the situation, felt a degree of trust in Li Zi'ang.

Coupled with everyone else remaining seated, his rash action seemed ill-advised.

He hesitated for a moment and then decided to move back.

“Since you’ve chosen, you cannot retreat,” Zhang Haiyang said, his face turning cold as he saw him turn back.

Though an aging man, he possessed a vibrant spirit, and his cold expression exuded an immense pressure.

The man didn't know what to do. He rested one hand on the seat, his arm starting to tremble from the strain.

He looked to Li Zi'ang for a response.

But Li Zi'ang was not omnipotent; he too was somewhat intimidated by Zhang Haiyang.

As he hesitated, Zhang Haiyang’s icy gaze fell upon him. “Where do you want to sit? Make a decision quickly! The performance is about to begin, don't waste everyone's time!”

Sweating profusely, the man had no choice but to grit his teeth and sit down.

He didn’t take his desired seat, but chose one with three seats between himself and Li Zi'ang’s group.

The moment his buttocks touched the seat and his face relaxed, a steel pipe shot out from beneath the seat. The man was instantly impaled, becoming a human skewer.

He died on the spot, blood and flesh splattering onto the steel pipe.

The pipe shot up two meters before stopping, at least half a meter protruding from the body, the exposed part completely covered in blood.

Moreover, blood and flesh splattered onto other seats.

The closest to him were the two who had run in with him; they were not spared, their bodies covered in varying amounts of gore.

Ning Wei glanced over, silently thankful for the distance, otherwise, he would have had a blood bath.

As for the teammates of the human skewer, their faces were filled with terror.

Whenever someone died, Zhang Haiyang became extremely delighted, his applause echoing throughout the space.

After clapping, Zhang Haiyang spread his arms wide and addressed the crowd, “Is there anyone else who wishes to change seats?”

Everyone shook their heads. Changing seats meant becoming a human skewer; who would dare?

Even though they were terrified and regretted not looking more closely at their seats before sitting down, they had no idea if there were steel pipes beneath their current seats.

They shifted their bottoms slightly, too afraid to lift themselves up.

At this moment, everyone’s thought was the same: let our buttocks be welded to our seats!

No one moved, and Zhang Haiyang seemed a little disappointed.

“When does the performance begin?” Ning Wei glanced at his watch. It was already ten past eleven.

“Don’t rush. Our performance will begin shortly. Please look forward to it!”

After speaking, Zhang Haiyang walked behind the black curtain. This time, he stayed for a long while, a full ten minutes.

When he emerged again, he had changed into a red and blue form-fitting swimsuit and was carrying a bucket filled with chopped fish.

Behind him walked a comically cute sea lion, which took a few steps and then clapped its flippers with a loud slapping sound.

Unfortunately, the audience, having just experienced near-death, had no energy to engage with the animal’s interaction.

Zhang Haiyang tossed a piece of fish from the bucket. The sea lion swallowed it whole and then clapped even more enthusiastically.
