Chapter 122: Psycho Apokion

Chapter 122: Chapter 122: Psycho Apokion

Jude ordered his men to gather as much salt in the garrison as possible and bring them over.

Siderius sprinkled a thick layer of salt beneath each of the victim’s beds. He then connected them together via thin sulfur lines.

Looking from above, the seal consisted of five different circles of white salt interconnected with each other with yellow powder of sulfur.

Salt to ward off evil and Sulfur as the gateway to their souls. The combination of the two shall open the pathway inside their eyes, allowing the souls to be freed.

’It would be better if I have some mercury right now’, Siderius thought to himself. His Mercury reserve had run dry for quite awhile now.

Alchemy worked best when all three of the primes were present. Mercury would act as the last frontier of the seal, taking the role of transformation and bringing the seal to a higher realm.

But Siderius had to make due with what he had. Like he always did since he had come to this world.

As the final touch for the seal, one giant line of salt connected the victim’s beds from the outside, creating a hexagon with each of the victims placed at the vertex.

Siderius sat at the sixth vertex, completing the hexagon seal.

Siderius turned his head toward the Baron. "I need silence and assistance. Remove everyone else and call George in here for me."

The Baron nodded. He didn’t question anything. "Soldiers! Move out!"

The band of soldiers and guards quickly left the premises. They were curious about what was going on. A few lingered their gazes at Siderius for a bit before leaving.

George was then summoned, kneeling beside Siderius.

"You called me, Lord Watcher?" He whispered.

"Make sure no one disturbs me."

"I’ll do my best." George nodded and came guard at the door.

No one was left inside the room. It was time for Siderius to conduct his alchemy.

There was no pre-determined alchemical seal for this type of process. Usually, to save those who had been hurt because of Phasmosis Damage, the most effective way was to heal their soul. As a result, the victim would fall back to a normal coma instead of falling into a false death state like now.

Siderius didn’t have the tools or tonics to heal their soul at the moment. He had to do the more difficult task. He must sever the hold the specter was having upon them, allowing them to heal their soul naturally.

Siderius conducted the sign sequence.

The first sign, Psycho Entopiosis. Siderius clasped his two hands together then separated them. He drew half a circle with each hand then joined them at the top of his forehead.

The sulfur lit up first, becoming yellow firesparks that danced around the beds of the victim.

The second sign, Psycho Skopiosis. The sulfur gathered at the surface of Siderius’ palms. He wiped his eyes with the sulfur, creating a clear vision to the soul of each victim.

The third sign, Psycho Proskalyosis. Siderius’ two hands formed a triangle in front of his mouth. This sign allowed him to call upon the souls of the victim.

"Hear me, dire souls. I have come to rescue you out of this darkness."

Siderius’ eyes shot open. In front of him, no longer was there the garrison, instead it was the dark mind space.

His Mind Eye opened wide, looking for those sleepless souls that were trapped within their own bodies.

The sulfur on the floor lit up and invaded the mind space, creating thin yellow lines that revealed the lost souls of the victims.

In the dark mind space, five souls appeared in front of Siderius. He, represented as a faceless silver soul, was sitting in front of all of them.

Behind each head of the soul, a single strand of darkness plunged into the back of their heads.

"I see you."

The strands of darkness all originated from a single point. With a ’whoosh’ sound, Siderius’ silver soul traveled miles in a blink of a second, locating the phantom inside the mind space.

A shadowy figure with no legs and two glowing white eyes appeared at the end of the strands, holding tight to the lines that connected to the victims.

"Found you."

Fourth sign was conducted, Psycho Apokion.

In reality, Siderius clapped as hard as he could, creating a minor shockwave that echoed into the dark mind space.

A sphere of silver aura spread out from his soul, pushing at the shadow phantom.

It opened its mouth and screeched at Siderius. Its hands were made of knives and his fingers were needles. The phantom jumped at Siderius, trying to hurt and disrupt whatever he was trying to do.

Siderius’ gaze shot at the Phantom. The Truth-Seeking Path emerged behind his back.

Pure golden dust of True Aether materialized, dancing around him like fireflies.

Light Aether formed a protective barrier, preventing the Phantom from crossing over to him. It tried to attack the silvery sphere, only for it to be repulsed back by the strings of fate.

"I am favored by the world and the gods, specter. You can’t harm me."

Siderius gathered the True Aether into a ball of gold. With it, he commanded the Dark Aether he had absorbed. A dark red sword made out of pure energy that could shatter any rules in this universe was formed.

The sword was manipulated by the truth, True Aether.

Siderius was guarded by destiny, Light Aether.

Dark Aether became his weapon, a sword that can sever the hold this specter had upon its victim.

With one definite slash, the Dark Aether sword cut through all the dark strands, except for two.

The phantom screeched painfully. It stormed at Siderius once more but it was purely a desperate attempt. His Light Aether was the best kind of defense against these types of creatures, those that had been abandoned by the beneficial force of this world.

The phantom took one hard look at Siderius before retreating back to darkness and disappeared.

In reality, the salt lit up in blue and created a pyramid made from the hexagon. All of its corners joined together at the top, creating an elusive and magical sight in the light of day.

Jude was watching from the outside and by using a sneaky spell, he was able to observe everything.

The Baron of Scalize was shaken to the core. He didn’t understand what he was seeing but it was impressive. The ’magic’ was calm, non-volatile and manageable. It was something entirely different than what he had known.

And then, the victims gasped. Their eyes shot wide open and they all sat up simultaneously.

The pyramid disappeared, along with it were the salt and sulfur, burning until there was nothing left.

Blood poured out of Siderius’ nose.
