Chapter 879: Chaos Destroyer
Feeling Eshka’s advancement to the Archon Realm, Maximus and his family paused their training.
"Eshka, she’s..."
"Hah! Truly a monster! I didn’t expect our little sister to advance to the Archon Realm so quickly."
Watching Eshka rapidly condense an Archon of Law, as her power soared infinitely, they couldn’t help but sigh in shock.
Among the Shadowcrest family, Eshka was the youngest.
Yet, while they were still miles from advancing, Eshka had already taken a step beyond.
From forming the Archon of Law, it seemed he was going to step directly to the Archon Realm.
Even Mira, who had previously been an Archon before reincarnating, was left in the dust.
"Don’t compare yourself to Eshka; you’ll only suffer," Etheria chuckled, noticing their expressions.
"Indeed, Eshka was already at full strength when she was born. Her leap to ascension before us isn’t surprising..."
Born with the foundation of ten myriad energies, a plane-level physique, and at the Overlord Realm, Eshka was practically a born prodigy.
Beyond comprehending the path of law, Eshka had already met all requirements for advancement.
Realizing this, their downcast expressions quickly returned to normal.
Their sister was indeed on another level. Comparing themselves to her was no different from comparing themselves to their father.
Besides making themselves doubt their own talent, it wouldn’t do anything good.
Soon, watching Eshka effortlessly condense an Archon of Law, the last barrier preventing her advancement shattered.
As her power exploded, they suddenly felt a sense of dread in their hearts.
"Oh no! The power of doom!"
"Father! Quickly! Sister’s about to wreak havoc!"
"Father, save us! Sister’s lighting the fuse!"
Though their banter was playful, they couldn’t help but look at Eshka with worry.
They remembered the last time Eshka’s power of doom erupted, it split the course of a dark beast into the central chaos region.
Now, as if igniting all the gas in the atmosphere, they could only imagine the horror it might unleash.
"Don’t worry too much. Your little sister knows what she’s doing," Maximus smiled, watching Eshka control the direction of her power of doom with all her might.
Since condensing a path of law, Eshka no longer unconsciously emitted the power of doom, sparing others from harm.
Like having a control switch, Eshka could turn her power on and off at will.
Especially now, with an Archon of Law, even as her power erupted explosively, she maintained control, preventing it from affecting others.
Without any surprises, Eshka could advance without harming anyone with her power of doom.
Unfortunately, with a cursed physique, things could never be smooth sailing.
Sure enough, just as Eshka neared the completion of her advancement, something interfered, sending her control into chaos.
The power of doom that she initially contained suddenly turned into a massive eruption that threatened to destroy everything.
Though invisible to the eye, they knew they would face terrifying consequences if it struck.
Fortunately, at the last moment, Eshka regained control, deflecting the power of doom as far as possible toward the Central Chaos Region.
Then, as fate would have it, the power exploded in the main vein of the dark beast tide.
The chaotic voids transformed into a volatile bomb, churning out one chaotic phenomenon after another, obliterating everything within its range.
Affected by this sudden change, even the relentless tide of dark beasts diverted their course, treating the chaotic void ahead as an absolute death zone.
As luck would have it, the direction they chose led toward the Central Chaos Region.
"The thing I feared still eventually happened..." Maximus sighed helplessly.
Not just him, but from his family, the overseers, archons, and overlords, every being felt a sense of dread that locked them in place.
As the dark beast tide fully diverted toward the Central Chaos Region, their situation became like a molehill facing an unstable tide of disaster.
They couldn’t retreat, defeat the enemy, or redirect them, being left helpless against the might of nature.
Unless they could turn the dark beast tide to another course or have a power that could block the tide of destruction, they could only wait to die.
"Did I do something wrong?" Eshka asked, tears brimming in her eyes.
Knowing the trouble she caused might bring destruction to the Planar Chaos Region, Eshka was overwhelmed with guilt.
Her life felt like a curse, spreading disaster and doom wherever she went.
She should have been satisfied earlier. She should have stayed content and never advanced. She should have just enjoyed her little life and never trained.
Unfortunately, like a demon whispering in her ears, she couldn’t rest or eat when she slacked off.
"Don’t cry. Your existence is a blessing. You didn’t cause trouble but brought us an immense opportunity," Maximus comforted, wrapping Eshka in his arms.
"Really?"
"Hmm. I should thank you. This might be the chance for your father to step beyond the tier 13 realm."
Earlier, when Eshka seemed suddenly beguiled, Maximus quickly traced the power, putting her in a trance.
As he suspected, at the end of the line was a terrifying being that made even his scalp tingle!
Though only at the Overlord Realm, Maximus feared no one.
Even if all the Overseers or Origin Dark Beasts besieged him, he wouldn’t blink.
Yet, the mere presence of a power unconsciously latched onto Eshka filled him with foreboding trepidation!
Drawing on all the records and history of the Planar Chaos Region, Maximus quickly traced its identity: the Doom of Chaos—the Chaos Destroyer!
Listed among the strongest chaotic creatures, it shared the dark beasts’ habit of destroying and bringing doom in its path.
Though Maximus couldn’t verify the record’s origin or accuracy, one thing was certain: the Chaos Destroyer was on the same level as the Chaos Eater!
Drawn to Eshka like a fish to a bait, Maximus quickly understood what opportunity the True Path had presented him.
If the chaos no longer held myriad essence for him to advance, he would plunder it from those who did!
Looking at Eshka, now calm after sobbing in his arms, Maximus smiled and kissed her forehead.
"Silly girl, you really are your father’s lucky charm..."
