In the thirteenth year of Duke Ding of Lu, when Confucius was fifty-five years old, a disagreement arose between Confucius and the Ji clan. Confucius, left with no choice, departed from the state of Lu to seek opportunities abroad, beginning his journey through the various states in 498 BCE.
Later, he returned to Lu. In the second month of the sixteenth year of Duke Ai of Lu, Confucius fell ill and passed away at the age of seventy-three. He was buried on the banks of the Si River, north of the city of Lu.
"Summon!"
Yang Hao gazed at the vast, boundless galaxy, at the fourteen statues that had already begun to glow. He was excited, extraordinarily excited. It had been nearly three hundred and sixty years since Liao Hua emerged into this otherworld. Now, the final hero to be sealed was about to appear. As the system's voice sounded, a slight smile graced Yang Hao's lips.
"Ding! Commencing the summoning of ancient heroes!"
"Whoosh~~"
Deep within his soul sea, the Samsara Yellow Pagoda erupted with boundless radiance, illuminating Yang Hao's entire soul sea. Biography: Recorded in the "Records of the Grand Historian": Xiang Yu was a descendant of the Xiang state, a vassal state of the Zhou Dynasty's royal Ji clan. In his youth, Xiang Yu declared his ambition to learn the art of fighting ten thousand enemies.
In July of the first year of Qin Er Shi, Chen Sheng and Wu Guang launched an uprising at Daze Township. In September of the same year, Xiang Liang gathered formerly familiar powerful officials and launched an armed rebellion in Wuzhong. Xiang Liang led his troops of eight thousand across the river. During this time, he dispatched Xiang Yu to attack Xiangcheng, which Xiang Yu besieged for a long time before conquering, after which he buried the entire city alive. In June of the second year of Qin Er Shi, Chen Sheng was killed. Xiang Liang convened his subordinates for a meeting and found Xiong Xin, the grandson of King Huai of Chu, in the populace, whom he then crowned King Huai of Chu. Xiang Liang declared himself the Wuxin Lord. Later, Zhang Han, after receiving reinforcements, launched a surprise attack on Xiang Liang, defeating him and killing him. Zhang Han then led his army north across the Yellow River, crushing Zhao, and besieging Julu with forty thousand men.
In September of the second year of Qin Er Shi, King Huai of Chu appointed Xiang Yu as the Supreme General. After Xiang Yu killed Song Yi, he became renowned throughout Chu and famous among the feudal lords. Xiang Yu led his entire army across the river and fought the Qin army nine times. Zhang Han was routed, and the Chu soldiers fought ten against one, their cheers shaking the heavens. Thus, Xiang Yu became the Supreme General of the feudal lords, and the feudal lords submitted to him.
In November of the first year of Han, Xiang Yu, in a single night, buried over two hundred thousand surrendered Qin soldiers south of Xin'an city. After annihilating the main Qin forces, Xiang Yu led the allied armies toward Guanzhong. However, Liu Bang had already captured Xianyang. Xiang Yu was furious. His army of four hundred thousand camped at Hongmen, Xinfeng. The Feast at Hong Gate began, but Xiang Yu was too compassionate. Xiang Yu accepted the white jade cup placed on the table and allowed Liu Bang to leave.
After Xiang Yu entered Xianyang, he led his troops to massacre Xianyang, killed King Ziying of Qin, and set fire to the Qin palace. The fire raged for three months before it was extinguished. Disregarding King Huai of Chu's promise that "whoever enters Guanzhong first shall be king," Xiang Yu enfeoffed eighteen feudal lords throughout the land and had Xiong Xin killed.
