Chapter 153 153: The beast raid.

Meanwhile,

Humans are the only life that seek breeding, pleasure, and warmth, there are others too, who are far more sinister.

The green creatures.

The smell was the first thing that reached Snagguk's nose. Warm bread, cinnamon air, fruit peel left in the open sun, and heat rising from brick ovens built over ancient vents.

For days they had stalked the forest edges, crawling through the wheatroots and sugarvine, waiting for the signal.

Now, crouched behind a low hill of churned soil, he saw it at last. The walls of Bread Town stood soft and golden in the distance, speckled with steam-chimneys and honey-colored banners fluttering in the morning breeze.

It was a ripe city and a weak city at the moment.

And city with beautiful mature women, that are breedable

Snagguk's claws tapped on the shaft of his cleaver while he licked his teeth and scanned the goblin horde around him.

Hundreds of Mireclaw warriors lay in wait across the treeline. Some wore stitched leather armor, smeared in tallow to hide their scent.

They weren't normal goblins, they were an intelligent group.

Some carried rusted weapons tied together with bone knots for extra infection damage and long-term slow death.

Their mounts were low squirming beasts bred from tunneling lizards and flourmaggots, huffed quietly in the brush.

They had waited for the right moon and sun.

The old one, the broken one, the horny one... It marked the time to strike.

The Mireclaw chieftain, Gorgun the Glutted, had spoken three nights ago in front of the tribe's fire pit. He didn't speak in loud chants or battle cries. He only said one thing, slowly, staring into the flames.

"The Bread Town burns. We don't leave a crumb behind."

They weren't human and couldn't careless about human grammar.

For shall, shall forth.

Anyway, then he pointed at the younger goblins.

Snagguk had been one of them.

Snagguk was the intelligent one. Capable of seeing the heights of Mount Tai.

And to him, Gorgun's orders were clear. Those who were clever, quiet, and fast would be given special tasks.

Find the women. Mark them. Take what was fertile. That was how the clan grew. The rest could kill and burn as they pleased.

Every race is born to spread the genes, it's biology.

Snagguk didn't question it. He had clawed his way out of the sporemud pits as a runt. He had no name until last spring.

Now Gorgun had given him one.

That was worth more than meat or fire. If Snagguk returned with empty claws, he would go back to being nothing. So he watched the city gates and waited for the order to move.

Moooooo!!!

A horn blew from the western flank.

It was deep yet hollow. It meant the sappers had breached the rye-wall near the syrup aqueducts.

That was the signal. Snagguk didn't wait for the others.

He ran low across the field, his cleaver tight in one hand, a sack of hooks in the other.

Beside him ran six other Mireclaws, none older than two season.

One might not know this but they grow too fast, they need like 2 weeks to fully mature.

They moved through the tall barley like mice through cloth, grinning with yellow teeth as they closed in on the soft city.

"What!?"

"closed the main gate..."

"Quick!!!"

Bread Town guards were already shouting as the horns sounded inside the walls.

Banners were pulled down and shields were raised instantly like those in anime, but the goblins were already too close.

The front gates were a distraction. Gorgun never intended to take them head-on.

It's quite stupid to think that animals can't use stareygu.

The real entrance was below the grain tunnels. Old maintenance shafts long forgotten by the cityfolk. Mireclaw scouts had mapped them months ago.

Snagguk knew which one to use.

He slipped through a stone grate behind the outer pastry mill, crawling through a chute coated in sugar mold and beetle shells. The tunnel narrowed, and for a moment he had to drag himself through by his elbows.

Then it opened suddenly into a small storeroom filled with sacks of flour and crates of crusted salt.

He was inside completely alone. He waited for his breathing to calm, then listened carefully the fotsteps above.

It wasn't hard like those heavy steel armored ones used by guards and knights but it was soft like a barefoot or straw slippers used my common people... Yeah, people walk barefoot.

He climbed the ladder and cracked the trapdoor open with one hand.

In the kitchen above, a young woman was rushing between shelves, tossing dried herbs and jars of jam into a pack.

She looks breedabke and had a good smell.

Her face was pale, her hands shook as she moved.

She must have heard the alarm.

Snagguk pushed the door open further and crawled into the room, rising silently behind the counter. He crept toward her, eyes locked on her back, cleaver raised just slightly.

The woman turned and gasped. "Ahhh... You..."

She tried to run, but Snagguk leapt forward and caught her ankle. She screamed, but he was already on top of her, his blade at her throat.

It wasn't that deep but just enough to threaten.

She stopped moving. He pulled a rag from his underwear and tied it around her mouth, then dragged her to the pantry.

Inside, he wrapped her in rootrope and left her near the sacks. She would live and breed, that was his task.

Don't get it wrong tho, the role was highly strong.

Goblins generally doesn't kill women as they are mostly used for breeding until they die.

He pulled a piece of chalk from his pouch and scratched a symbol on the door. Gorgun would send a collector later.

Snagguk climbed to the roof and looked out over the city.

Fire had already taken the west wing of the baker's quarter.

Smoke poured from the spice markets and flame licked the dome of the central pudding temple.

The defenders were overwhelmed. The syrup tanks had burst. Molasses now ran in thick rivers through the gutters, sticking to boot and claw alike.

The bells of the Bagel Bastion rang wildly, but no reinforcements came, there were no allies left.

The kingdom was in great war recently and more threats are rising, many adventurers have left this place and it was a logical thing to do so.

No cap, why would they even wanna stay here!?

He made his way across rooftops, dropping into houses where he could, always looking for the same signs.

And he quickly noticed the guild... There was a string scene there, the scent of elf.

Goblins are naturally blessed with strong smell to sense Elves and breedable women and not to mention that their semen world an aphrodisiac.

It was the genetic gift they have gotten over the long time of evolution.

There are female goblins but still goblins prefers other race as well two goblins mate, male and female, or takes 3-5 year's for the baby to born while won't he other hand, of goblins breed with other races, it takes 1-3 months.

Nature is wild. That's why any animals closely related to their natural habitat are called wild animals.

No cap.

Meanwhile,

Alan got out of the adventurer's guild hearing such noise during early morning.

He slept pretty peacefully ahtvthwre were strange line marks on his face. He was too tired these few days and it felt so good.

Anyway, he quickly saw a small goblin.

"The fuck... It that a goblin." Alan doesn't bother watching anything else, who cares about the grains of rice or grains of something else.

Anyway, he didn't cared much, he went to the cafeteria and began to eat breakfast.

He ate 12 boiled eggs, 6 breads, and two cup of tea.

One milk tea and one black tea.

As Alan finishes his breakfast, the noise of the situation begins to sink in... Yeah, the noise from outside was growing louder and louder, and the smell of smoke wafts into the cafeteria.

He can't ignore the commotion any longer.

How come city guards be so weak not even capable of handling small goblins.

Well, truth be told, the strong ones had to leave the place to fight near the borders.

With a sigh, he stood up leaving his empty plate behind, and makes his way out to investigate.

However,

The sight that greeted him is one of chaos and destruction.

Many house were burning and the gonlins were using guns... Wait what... Guns!?

GUNS!?

Like no cap, Alan saw a large goblin use ak-47 and killed few men while other goblins were tying up the women.

"What the F—"

"How did that guy have AK-47!?"

"This makes no sense..."

Alan was flabbergasted but it is possible who knows if other "heroes" have decided to mass produce the guns.

But even if that was the case, how would goblins gets their hands on it?

Just then,

[ Detected reincarnated goblin with a system ]
