Chapter 700 - 701 Playing with Fire

Chapter 700: Chapter 701 Playing with Fire

Nian Shutong didn’t make a fuss about asking and continued to eat and drink. Even though the food didn’t taste that great, she still relished it.

When the meal ended, she had more or less understood what a "full score" meant, but she never found a chance to jump into the conversation to explain.

It seemed everyone thought of her as a student trying to earn credits.

After the meal, Nian Shutong hadn’t found a good opportunity to inquire about the origin of the Moshi, and seeing that Fu Yunhe’s class was about to end, she decided to come back tomorrow.

She said to everyone, "See you tomorrow," and headed towards Fu Yunhe’s teaching building.

On the way, Nian Shutong’s appearance attracted quite a bit of attention, but her formidable aura kept many people at bay, not daring to approach and make inquiries.

This was also because she had only attended one class, so the people around her didn’t recognize her.

As Nian Shutong arrived at the teaching building as if by accident, Fu Yunhe happened to walk out.

From a great distance, the two exchanged glances, smiles apparent in their eyes.

Fu Yunhe remembered Nian Shutong’s request to pretend not to know her.

And so, the two of them walked forward about ten meters apart, like two parallel lines.

With students in a rush to leave around them, in the hustle and bustle, the two appeared like a slow-motion scene from a movie, each in a world with only the other person.

Fu Yunhe heard nothing but Nian Shutong’s voice in his ears, as she shared her unexpected experience of helping in the kitchen this afternoon and her discovery of the Crystal Stone aura.

"I plan to go back tomorrow. I’ll talk about it when I find out more."

"Besides, I found them quite adorable, chatting and talking was interesting."

Fu Yunhe was not capable of telepathic communication, so he just listened, but he did so with great interest, without any pretense.

He was enjoying the moment: being able to see the person he wanted to see right after class and listen to her voice, hearing about her day—it was enjoyable, it was lovely.

Fu Yunhe’s aura softened unconsciously, and this made people around him bolder.

"Fu Yunhe, to the canteen?"

A male student came up, inviting Fu Yunhe to the canteen, where students often went in groups.

"Go ahead, I’m heading back to the small courtyard. Tomorrow’s class is still at noon."

After leaving those words, Nian Shutong walked off in a certain direction.

Fu Yunhe first responded to the male student with "Let’s go together."

The student didn’t expect the usually lofty Fu Yunhe to be so approachable.

They left together, and Fu Yunhe took one last look in Nian Shutong’s direction before he too departed.

At night, back in his apartment, Fu Yunhe couldn’t sleep because he was itching to go see Nian Shutong.

But going out without permission was not allowed.

"Aye, someone’s mind isn’t here, do you want me to pass a message for you?" quipped Yangyang, looking for entertainment.

Fu Yunhe just gave him a smile of refusal.

"No trouble needed, I will communicate myself."

Fu Yunhe immediately called Nian Shutong on the Light Computer, and she quickly answered.

"What’s up?"

"I want to ask for permission to go out, to see you."

"To see me for what? Didn’t we already meet today?"

"And what do you think?"

Fu Yunhe helplessly looked at Nian Shutong, only to see her smile smugly, arching her eyebrows, and asking, "You miss me that much?"

"Not really, mainly because I didn’t get to eat the peanuts and sunflower seeds this afternoon."

Nian Shutong smirked at Fu Yunhe. Although she knew he was joking, she still took out a packet of peanuts and slowly wrapped it, munching away.

"Are you talking about these? Would you like me to open a virtual space so you can smell them?"

"That wouldn’t be too bad."

The two chatted with a bit of banter, and before they knew it, over half an hour had passed. In the end, it was Nian Shutong who hung up the call.

Fu Yunhe felt as sweet as if he had drunk honey after ending the call, almost humming a tune as he went to wash up. Outside, Yangyang stuck out its tongue at the sourness.

"Reeking of lovesickness."

Not only did Fu Yunhe feel satisfied, but Nian Shutong also started her cultivation in a good mood.

"I forgot to ask when this guy advanced."

After a night of cultivation, the next morning, Nian Shutong opened her courtyard door, and Lian Qing, who was waiting outside, came in to eat breakfast together.

Having finished breakfast, the two were in no rush to go to school, so they cultivated quietly, without disturbing each other.

Around noon, after having a bit of food, they made their way to school.

"Once classes are over today, you can go back. I have some things to attend to and won’t be coming back."

"I understand."

Lian Qing stood behind Nian Shutong and respectfully replied.

They went straight to yesterday’s playground, which was designated as her temporary teaching space.

At half-past twelve, those who hadn’t been eliminated yesterday were standing on the empty ground on time. This time, they saw their teacher.

"Good afternoon."

Nian Shutong casually greeted them, glancing at the sun overhead, which was still hot.

"Got a sun umbrella?"

"Yes."

Lian Qing pulled out a large sun umbrella from her Space Button that could stand on the ground. She also pulled out a chair and asked, "Chair?"

"Bring one for me, and get one for yourself too."

And so, in front of all the students, they set up the umbrella, protected themselves from the sun, and sat down to rest.

The group of students opposite them felt a tingling annoyance; what kind of shitty teacher was this?

Their instructors were known to endure the sun with them. What were these two doing? Sightseeing?

All the students seethed with unspoken complaints, but Fu Yunhe thought it made perfect sense to avoid too much sun, as it could be harmful.

After sitting down, Nian Shutong looked at the students opposite her who dared not speak, and with confrontational words, asked, "Are you angry? Feel it’s unfair?"

"Yes!"

"Yes!"

Scattered responses made Nian Shutong laugh nonchalantly.

"This world has been filled with all sorts of unfairness since the day you were born, don’t you know that?"

"I’m the teacher, and you’re the students, swallow your complaints."

"Alright, let’s begin today’s lesson: playing with fire."

No one dared to contradict Nian Shutong’s words; the most formidable thing about a military academy was its rules and discipline.

Moreover, Nian Shutong’s next actions left no room for rebellion.

All the students saw Nian Shutong lazily lift a hand, and with a slight flick of her fingers, a flame appeared out of nowhere.

Her hand shot up and then came down, and the flame split into hundreds of small flames, densely lingering in the air.

"Go!"

At her command, over a hundred small flames flew towards the students.

"Ahhh—"

"Heavens—"

"Lian Qing, take note."

"Anyone who dodges, eliminate them."

"Yes."
