Chapter 590: Chapter 590 Sharing a Common Enemy
Rubble first picked up his own communication device—it was Ms. Nian Shutong calling.
“Rubble! You’re awesome!”
Ms. Nian Shutong lavished praise without stinginess, making Rubble’s lips curve up slightly as he responded, “Ms. Nian Shutong, Rubble simply did what needed to be done.”
“Exactly, our Rubble is getting more and more capable, even speaking and handling matters more adeptly.”
“Yes, thank you for your praise, but Rubble has always been quite capable.”
Hearing Rubble’s self-confident boasting, Ms. Nian Shutong on the other end did not argue but fully agreed, saying, “You are absolutely right.”
As they were speaking, Xia Tian, who seemed a bit anxious on the side, popped his head out and quickly asked,
“Eldest, do you need me to do anything?”
Watching Xia Tian in the video, Ms. Nian Shutong thought of the documents in her hand, realizing it was indeed a good opportunity that saved her from making the trip herself.
“Xia Tian, there really is something. Listen and see if you’d be willing.”
Without waiting to hear it, Xia Tian instantly replied, “I’m willing, I’m willing to do anything.”
Ms. Nian Shutong didn’t take it seriously and repeated the matter entirely.
“Xia Tian, I need someone to deliver a set of the Chi Family’s criminal files to the Royal Family; it’s better if the recipient’s status is as high as possible. Would you be willing to do this?”
“Ah? Just this? There’s nothing to it, bringing down the Chi Family has always been my life’s wish.”
Xia Tian’s hatred for the Chi Family was deep-rooted, and if he could have brought them down himself, he would have done it long ago.
He had not considered why Ms. Nian would ask him to do this; rather, he felt he was the best candidate—who else could deliver it higher up than him?
“Eldest, just send it over to me; I’ll deliver it right away.”
“Okay.”
Ms. Nian Shutong added Xia Tian as a friend first, then immediately closed her communication with Rubble, and finally copied and sent a digital version of the documents to Xia Tian.
By then, Ms. Nian Shutong had arrived at the First District Government’s entrance; however, she felt she might not be able to deliver it herself—how could the Chi Family not have any power?
Xia Tian was just in time, saving her the trouble of breaking into the Imperial Palace at night.
After much consideration, Ms. Nian Shutong decided to return to the Chi Family’s place once more; she had left a ‘gift’ for the Chi Family and needed to make sure it was received.
As Ms. Nian Shutong was heading towards the Chi Family’s place, coinciding with the end of Little River Live, the online world brewed for a while. Many people felt the issues raised about radiation during Little River Live were unreal and unbelievable.
The Chi Family’s first two moves had not produced the desired effect; instead, it almost felt like they were inadvertently supporting Little River Live. Were their solutions too targeted?
“We said your seeds absorb radiation and are toxic, but you made a device that can see radiation and repeatedly proved your rice has no radiation.”
“We have witnesses saying eating your rice caused their bodies to fester, and you have witnesses saying they ate it and are perfectly fine, in great spirits.”
The Chi Family also found this situation strange but still proceeded with their final and most crucial step.
At the same time, Fu Yunhe’s data organization was complete, and he had contacted many others; the previous four farming households were also contacted by him.
Simultaneously, Xia Tian sent the information directly to his brother, the Crown Prince, and personally called him, requesting that he handle the matter as a priority.
The Crown Prince was initially indifferent, but after reading the first page of the information, he asked solemnly, “Is this true?”
“Of course, if the Eldest found it, it must be true.”
The Crown Prince did not understand who the Eldest was, but the talkative Xia Tian used the fastest speech of his life to explain the situation.
“Brother, did you understand? This is a great opportunity.”
“Are you saying that the data you got on Blue Star was given by Ms. Nian Shutong?”
“Yes!”
The Crown Prince said to Xia Tian, who still wanted to talk, “Stop the nonsense, I have matters to attend to.”
The communication was cut off.
Xia Tian didn’t mind at all and shouted towards the distant Rubble, “No problem.”
While shouting, Xia Tian rushed back, and as soon as he steadied himself, he heard Ji Sisi shouting furiously.
“Pah! Shameless, how dare they slander us!”
Ji Sisi’s words made Lin Mu, who had been resting with his eyes closed, stand up and look toward Ji Sisi’s Light Computer.
Ji Sisi simply projected the content from her Light Computer so everyone could see.
On Star Network’s trending topics, the top five were all about the same issue.
[Interstellar First Detection Research Institute proves that all food sold by Little River Live contains varying amounts of toxins.]
[All food sold by Little River Live contains toxins!]
[What should people who have consumed food from Little River Live do now? Will the toxins affect their basic cultivation practices?]
…
“Are these people sick? Just because some crappy institute says so, it’s true? Don’t they have brains?”
Ji Sisi, furious, went straight into the comments section and vented her anger, verbally clashing with the critics.
Rubble, looking at the malice in the comment section, shook his head and said, “Although the brain and small intestine look alike, please do not confuse their functions.”
Ji Sisi, who was busy typing, suddenly caught inspiration and said to Rubble, “Master, throw in a few taunts, I’ll post them and scold them.”
Lin Mu looked at the bewildered Rubble, the fiercely indignative Ji Sisi, and besides them, Ha Ha who was gearing up, the silently frowning Elder Hua, the defiant Xia Tian, and even Master Fan, who was making noises with a frying pan.
She smiled faintly and said, “Don’t worry, Mr. Nian will take care of it.”
“I know Mr. Nian is amazing, but I’m still angry! If I don’t vent it out, I’ll go insane.”
Ji Sisi continued her tirade.
Lin Mu found this reasonable and also turned on her own Light Computer, feeling ready for a big fight.
“Come on! Let’s strike back!”
“Yes! Let’s strike back.”
Master Fan was the first to respond, wielding his frying pan, while Ha Ha, not very skilled with the Light Computer, still managed to open it and replied with the same three words under every malicious comment: “Big idiot.”
His only response was those three words, “Big idiot,” which was certainly a unique and infuriating way.
Elder Hua was even more impressive; educated people insult others without a single swear word, but still make you feel your liver ache.
For example, “The weather is too cold, don’t jump around without covering yourself with more soil,” or “I know you’re a straightforward person, but you shouldn’t use your mouth for bowel movements.”
With remarks like these, a non-stop flow without any repetitions.
And then Xia Tian, who could be considered the founder of nagging, almost wished he could write a short essay that would make the eyes of those being scolded ache.
It wasn’t just Lin Mu and the others, the entire population of Blue Star was engaged in this battle on the Star Network, united in anger and solidarity, defending their homeland.
Just as the confrontation continued unabated, Fu Yunhe made his move.
One by one, documents were uploaded to the Star Network, in an unstoppable manner that made everyone see them, and they had to see them, dominating the Star Network.
