Chapter 573 Who Taught This Kid to Be So Stubborn, Damn It!!!

The images in his memory remained vivid.

'This is all the money I have. You've been following me, thinking about it all the way, haven't you?'

'I don't know why I have so much. Maybe the guy who buried me was rich. It's all yours now.'

'Take these gold, silver, and treasures, leave Shenzhou, and live in peace.'

'Not enough!'

'Then what do you want?'

'I want you... that hairpin!'

'There's, there's more silver!'

'...Alright.'

Five hundred years ago, outside the capital, the Daoist coughed lightly. The black hair at his temples had already begun to turn gray due to the backlash from slaying the dragon. He casually removed the hairpin from his Daoist bun and handed it to the girl in green, then watched her transform into a dragon and fly into the moonlight.

And now, that girl stood before him, real and vibrant.

Except the green robe had been replaced by a modern, soft hoodie, and her waist-length hair had become a more neat and heroic short cut. Her face, whether due to her transformation from a snake to a dragon, or perhaps some other opportunity, seemed slightly more youthful than before. Everything had changed.

Only the Daoist hairpin remained the same.

Proving that this scene was not an illusion.

Wei Yuan's expression softened. The Daoist from the Special Operations Team was still cheering him on, introducing her: "Senior Wei, don't be careless. This is a great demon with fifteen hundred years of Daoist cultivation. A single thousand years is enough to call her a demon king, let alone fifteen hundred."

"Her strength is formidable, not to be underestimated."

"And she faintly possesses divinity, almost reaching the realm of a demon god..."

"Of course, she can't be compared to Taotie or Taowu."

The Daoist stated his judgment one by one.

Basically, this little girl is awesome, and we can't beat her.

Perfect time to use the ultimate Daoist technique - call for backup!

Calling living people is useless; my Daoist school has countless spells to call upon the dead.

Just as he was wondering whether to record this with his phone for future study, Museum Director Wei raised his hand to stop the Daoists who were eager to rub shoulders with a senior expert and gain experience points. The corner of his mouth twitched, and he said in a calm voice, "I know her..."

The Daoists were stunned.

Even Xiao Qing was taken aback.

She didn't recognize Wei Yuan, whose aura was currently so powerful.

During the Ming Dynasty, Wei Yuan's spirit was disturbed by the immense memories, sometimes clear and sometimes confused. The true meaning left by Xuanzang suppressed his soul, and his foundation was mainly Daoist, regulating his inner self. Now, after many battles, Wei Yuan had personally killed one of the Four Fiends, and his cultivation foundation combined the Qi of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Daoism.

And all of them were direct lineages.

He also possessed the vigorous and violent Qi condensed after slaying Taowu.

Well, actually, it was the spirit developed after being trained by the ancient villains.

It was like a dog being forcibly thrown into the Shenzhou's top-tier battle of five thousand years, then abused into a weakling. Returning to normal difficulty, it could still rub others on the ground in one hundred and eight ways, and write 'noob' on their foreheads. Moreover, Wei Yuan's own foundation was actually quite solid.

It wasn't a vigorous foundation like that of a natural god.

But a foundation created by man.

It was traveling around the states with Master, teaching according to aptitude.

It was traveling ten thousand miles west with Xuanzang, the world entering the sword.

It was severing the dragon vein with the Great Teacher, flowing through the chaotic world.

It was a foundation that was honed bit by bit, purely shaped by the spirit and will of man.

Not bestowed by heaven, but obtained by man's quest for self-knowledge.

So, in other words, Wei Yuan's foundation was quite solid and could not be broken.

The ancient group of five 'played' very happily.

The progress of his strength was probably:

You can drift past me in your AE86 delivering tofu and I can't even see your taillights. If you improve the performance of the car, I don't even want to think about what you will do. .jpg

As for developing potential, a certain unnamed group of villains said, we're good at that.

Just beat them, hit them, as long as they don't die, they can go out and beat others to death.

Taotie gave a thumbs down.

What the girl saw was a cultivator whose cultivation was unfathomable, whose aura was locked and restrained, and who had a fierce fighting will in his eyes. The other party said that he knew her, and she had already raised her vigilance to the peak. The Daoists from the Special Operations Team hesitated and said, "Senior Wei, you said you know her..."

"Then who is she to you?"

Wei Yuan turned his head, about to answer.

Suddenly, the girl behind him stepped forward. Because she instinctively sensed the oppressive aura emanating from Wei Yuan, she took action decisively. The Daoist's expression changed, and he said, "Senior, be car..."

The sound stopped abruptly.

Wei Yuan was not facing the girl.

He raised his left hand, blocking left and right, and easily stopped all of the girl's fierce attacks. After deflecting the attacks, the girl's hand covered with dragon scales was scattered, revealing an opening. Wei Yuan's right hand struck down, hitting the girl's head with a bang.

With a clang.

The girl subconsciously shrunk her neck, and the raised strand of black hair swayed.

Does it sound good? A good sound means a good head.

This feel, this sound.

Wei Yuan felt a little nostalgic.

Back in the Ming Dynasty, after he somehow regained consciousness, his memory was blurred, and he had not yet established a good relationship with the girl. Moreover, it was in the place where Fahai suppressed Xiaoqing, Tianmu Mountain collapsed, and thousands of snakes emerged, which was recorded in the Ming Dynasty miscellaneous books at the time.

At that time, the girl in front of him would attack him for no reason.

Very much like a bamboo viper that holds grudges after being disturbed. The Daoist just smiled casually and didn't take it to heart.

As for why Wei Yuan didn't kill her at the time, it was because of the seal left by Fahai.

That was obviously a true Buddhist cultivator.

If this green snake was really a great demon who had killed countless people, then with Fahai's character, he would have subdued her long ago.

How could he just imprison her under Tianmu Mountain and hypnotize her with Buddhist scriptures from time to time?

It was simply equivalent to a true Buddhist cultivator catching a truant student and forcibly starting nine years of compulsory education.

Of course, the Daoist at that time did not know that the girl, who had left a certain legend in the world, was isolated, extremely socially awkward, and only had a good relationship with her sister. She was also imprisoned in Tianmu Mountain. Although the living environment was relatively harsh, it was also good that she didn't have to deal with people.

The lonely and socially awkward millennium snake demon exuded an aura that attracted many un-enlightened snakes.

When she was bored, she would give those snakes names and talk to herself.

It was like a modern homebody who filled a room with model soldiers or figures, and gave each of them a name, entertaining himself by acting out scenes with the figures, pretending to be different characters.

Left hand a white snake, voicing softly: "Ah, husband..."

Right hand a clay figure, voice clear: "Ah, wife."

"Ah, husband, I'm leaving!"

"Ah, wife, don't go!"

"Ah, husband!"

"Ah, wife!"

At that time, the girl had a human body and a snake tail, wearing green clothes, comfortably lying on the sealed area.

Just as she was having fun, suddenly a guy kicked the door open.

The crash startled her.

Her old home, where she had lived for about five or six hundred years, was almost overturned by this bastard.

Even her model soldiers ran away.

She witnessed this scene with her own eyes.

That kind of shame.

That concentration of social mortification.

The social anxiety was about to turn her into a madman, and she had to take revenge no matter how many years it took.

This is why the green snake followed the gray-robed Daoist closely from the eighteenth year of Jiajing to the end of Jiajing - such a thing has been seen, you choose one, one of us must disappear. And she would strike from time to time.

Such a long time of attacks had led Wei Yuan to become completely familiar and immune to the green snake's attack patterns.

He dealt with the girl with one hand.

While calmly explaining to the Daoists.

Like a company slave who took time out of his busy schedule to coax a child with toys, he smiled and said, "She is my friend..."

His voice paused, and Wei Yuan smiled, "Also a disciple."

Just being a friend could not dispel the Daoists' doubts.

Only an identity like a disciple, representing that the teacher would be responsible for the disciple,

and teach the latter's morals, would be recognized by Shenzhou.

And this reason naturally also came from that old Master.

"Oh, oh, I see..."

The Daoists pondered.

Watching the millennium... no, the great demon with fifteen hundred years of Daoist cultivation become exasperated.

However, all attacks were avoided by Museum Director Wei as if he had eyes in the back of his head.

Only the hand knife fell with a clanging sound, clear and rhythmic.

Just looking at the scene, it almost made people feel like he was bullying a child.

However, it did seem like they had a good relationship...

He breathed a sigh of relief, feeling completely relieved. Frankly speaking, facing such a demon god with fifteen hundred years of Daoist cultivation, ordinary Daoists would die one by one, and two would be sent in pairs.

He politely picked up the cultivator who had been knocked unconscious by the girl's hand knife.

The three Daoists walked out the door.

When the last Daoist walked out, he was thoughtful.

Just now, when the girl raised her hand to strike a hand knife...

Did she stand on tiptoe?

Should I ask?

He thought about it and decisively rejected the instinct to be nosy.

As soon as he went out, the Bagua plate suddenly lit up again, as if shouting in his ear with a loudspeaker: There's a demon! There's a demon! Go send... no, go get it!

The Daoist took off the Bagua token without changing his expression.

Right hand raised.

His face suddenly became fierce.

He slammed it hard on the ground with a *paji* sound.

Then, he stretched out his right foot and stomped on it, panting and cursing.

"Shout, shout, all you know is shout!"

"Why don't you go yourself!"

"Pui!"

Two junior brothers: "..."

The leading Daoist raised his head, his expression unchanged:

"Go back and write a report, and apply for reimbursement from above."

"Just say..."

His voice paused, and he said, "It was damaged in battle."

"Glorious sacrifice."

………………

Inside the restaurant.

Xiaoqing's pupils had completely transformed into dragon pupils, red outside and gold inside.

She stared at Wei Yuan warily.

Her whole body was half-dragonized, exuding a powerful aura.

She seemed ready to unleash her strongest attack at any moment.

Wei Yuan looked at her with a smile and suddenly said, "It's been so long, you still have the hairpin."

Aqing was stunned.

"It's me, don't you remember?"

Wei Yuan smiled and stretched out his palm, suppressing the Buddhist and Confucian auras, leaving only the aura of the Daoist foundation.

He stood with his hands behind his back.

In a trance, he was still the free and easy Daoist of the past.

The girl had changed, and the Daoist had also changed.

However, Wei Yuan, recalling the past, had a clearer understanding of his past.

His actions, from beginning to end, were nothing more than a matter of righteousness. What is righteousness? Master never advocated doing things in the heat of the moment. That was definitely not righteousness. Righteousness is appropriateness, doing the right thing, the thing that should be done. And when this right thing conflicts with life and death,

Master said, sacrifice life to uphold righteousness.

We all did this.

Master said the Doctrine of the Mean, before the emotions of joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure are aroused, it is called equilibrium.

Harmony is balance, so what is harmony? When they are aroused and each and all attain due measure, it is called harmony.

Master's Doctrine of the Mean.

That is not to preserve heavenly principles and extinguish human desires, because the Doctrine of the Mean says that not arousing joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure is the first step. The second step is harmony, which is arousing emotions and hitting the right thing and the right target. It is about driving, not destroying your human desires.

It is not about impartiality, because when there is impartiality, it is the greatest bias.

Because to say impartiality, someone must determine what is partial.

That will turn Confucian disciples into cynical lackeys of secular authority, rather than gentlemen who follow the rules of heaven and earth and their own nature.

What is the Doctrine of the Mean?

Acting without being swayed by emotions, without acting rashly; once in motion, like thunder, hitting the mark.

That is the Doctrine of the Mean!

Let nature be free, control your joys, angers, sorrows, and pleasures, and use benevolence, righteousness, and etiquette to restrain the gentleman's nature, so that this free soul and nature do not go astray. This is the most basic and simple path of ancient Confucianism, the path of Master.

It is doing as one pleases without overstepping the bounds.

Being benevolent and loving people, righteousness is about doing what is appropriate. What is the realm of Confucianism entering the hall?

In my life,

I have practiced all the paths of benevolence, and what I have done is appropriate, worthy of benevolence.

That is the true meaning of being both benevolent and righteous.

Benevolence has been achieved, and righteousness has been fulfilled. Master, I am worthy.

Master, you did teach me. Yuan has achieved his own benevolence and righteousness in every life, and can call himself not unworthy of Confucianism. Wei Yuan's self-awareness gradually became clear. He looked at the girl with a dazed expression, as if recalling her past, recalling her past interactions with the girl.

With a warm smile, he whispered:

"Long time no see."

Long time no see.

It was a reunion after five hundred years.

It was the joy of being well after the passage of time.

The proprietress over there seemed to realize something, and a sense of emotion arose in her heart. She seemed to be able to feel the warmth and atmosphere of that long-awaited reunion, that long time no see, how are you? She could sense the emotion that made people's hearts soften.

The girl murmured: "Is it you? I always, always wanted to see you again."

"It's really you, that's great. There's something I must tell you. I've been thinking about it for a long, long time..."

Just as pink bubbles were about to pop out of the proprietress's head,

the girl did not hug or recognize Wei Yuan.

She just suddenly retreated, thought for a moment, and retreated again, standing still.

Right leg behind, left leg in front.

Legs parallel.

Then she leaned forward slightly, her hands touching the ground.

Her head lowered.

She took a deep breath, her upper body leaning forward, her shapely but strong calves tensed.

The smile on Wei Yuan's face froze.

Huh?

Huh? !

Wait!

Why does this posture look a little familiar?

Before Wei Yuan could react, the girl suddenly stepped forward, crushing the tiles with her right foot. A crouching start, instantly erupting with terrifying speed, her head lowered, her speed rising instantly. He could faintly see the dragon纹 and hear the sound of the Azure Dragon's roar.

Charging, she headbutted the Daoist in the abdomen.

The iron-headed impact of a 1,500-year-old Azure Dragon!

"Damn Daoist, die!!!"

"SHINEEEEEEE!!!!!"

The Daoists outside hadn't gone far when they heard a crash. They turned back and saw the museum director being knocked away, flying for a while before crashing into the artificial mountain in the park, embedded in it, his hands and feet drooping, twitching from time to time.

Wei Yuan, unable to rise again!

A moment later, the restaurant's television was broadcasting a track and field meet.

The girl was waiting for her food expectantly.

The announcer's voice was sweet.

"Okay, we see that contestant Wang used a standard crouching start. This starting posture has a great advantage in the explosiveness of short-distance races. Ah, he is in very good condition. It seems that the world record broken this morning is about to be broken again."

"The champion is the holder of the 'Grass-Treading Flight' lightness skill from the Yanzi Shen Tou Sect." (Swallow God Thief Sect)

The host couldn't help but mutter in a low voice:

"Speaking of which, is it really necessary to keep this kind of world record?"

The glass was covered with newspapers.

The Guardian, burned out, sat to the side, his hands drooping, his face pale.

His head hurt so much.

His stomach hurt so much.

Damn it, his head hurt so much...

"Who taught her to be so stubborn..."

"Sorry, Master. Yuan is not good enough... I've embarrassed Confucianism."

"I didn't teach her well at all."

"This guy, this guy has become like me..."
