Chapter 667: Chapter 667: My Name Is Panpan
Landon Lester watched in disbelief as his bodyguard was taken down by a seemingly delicate woman, his face filled with nothing but anger.
He immediately reached for his phone to call security.
Scarlett Jennings, seeing him calling for help, also prepared to call for reinforcements.
Just as she was about to take action, a piercing wail suddenly came from downstairs,
"Ahhh, Pompom!"
Seeing this, Scarlett didn’t hesitate, pushed Landon aside, and ran downstairs, not forgetting to instruct Jasmine Hamilton on her way,
"Leave this to you, don’t hurt anyone."
Jasmine immediately replied softly, "Alright."
Scarlett didn’t look back again. As she reached downstairs, she was almost disgusted by Landon’s grim hobby.
The corridor leading to the basement was lined with glass boxes filled with various snakes.
The moment those snakes saw her, they all hissed and looked in her direction.
Scarlett wasn’t afraid of snakes, but being stared at by so many made her feel slightly uncomfortable.
As she pondered, Dashiell suddenly poked his head out from the basement door and yelled at the snakes on both sides of the corridor,
"Be quiet! Or I’ll hiss at you?!"
Seeing Dashiell’s rebuke, all the snakes quickly lowered their heads, coiling up obediently.
Only then did Scarlett quickly walk over and saw several large pythons confined inside.
One of the glass enclosures was already open, with Rose Spencer sitting inside, holding a weak floral serpent, crying sorrowfully,
"Pompom! Boohoo... Don’t leave me! Our Snake Treasure hasn’t hatched yet... Boohoo, I’m late..."
Anyone would think his wife had passed away.
But as Scarlett approached, she could clearly see that the floral serpent still had its eyes open, its tongue weakly licking the hand of the man holding it.
As she came closer, the floral serpent’s eyes showed even more vigilance and hatred, and its initially limp body began to stir.
"I’m from the Mystic Regulation Office, entrusted to take you away."
Yet the floral serpent’s eyes remained filled with hate, its tongue flicking as it spoke human words,
She said, "Humans are all cunning and vicious, and so are you Masters!"
Rose Spencer was a bit worried seeing it stir, "Pompom, don’t move, this Master is different..."
The sentence was interrupted by the floral serpent’s angry retort,
"How many times have I told you, my name is Panpan! And you! Stop crying! Annoying."
Startled by its shout, Rose barely managed to stop his tears.
Scarlett, seeing the floral serpent struggling, noticed that its gathered demonic power was being continuously absorbed. Ignoring its clear hostility towards her, she said,
"Your demonic power is weakening. If I were you, I’d find a way to leave here first, recover, and then seek revenge."
She could see the hatred in the floral serpent’s eyes, obviously, this encounter had filled it with deep Resentful Energy. Considering the vengeful nature of snakes, it would surely not spare Landon when it left.
Scarlett would not utter words advising it to let go of its hatred.
This was a karma between it and Landon, and in principle, as long as it didn’t kill anyone, Scarlett wouldn’t interfere.
Sure enough, at the mention of revenge, the floral serpent’s pupils visibly contracted as if she had hit the mark.
Seeing his wife let up a bit, Rose carefully coiled it around himself, then held it, preparing to leave this place.
He sensed something was off with the house.
His wife’s demonic power was stronger than his. Even weakened after giving birth, it shouldn’t have been diminished to a point of no resistance.
Moreover, when he used demonic power to try and break the glass, it took all his strength.
This place seemed to drain their demonic power.
They had to leave while there was still some demonic power left.
Before leaving, he released all the snakes from their enclosures.
"Come with me, let’s leave this place together."
With his hissing command, the rigidly coiled snakes finally began to move.
...
Upstairs.
Landon had summoned the security from the villa community, and a group of people nearly surrounded Jasmine Hamilton.
Oddly enough, Jasmine looked soft and gentle but showed no mercy in a fight.
The group was forcefully held at the staircase entrance.
Landon was almost out of patience.
At this moment, there was finally some commotion from downstairs.
Everyone saw Scarlett Jennings and Dashiell emerge first, followed by a young man with a giant python coiled around him.
Landon, seeing the floral serpent he’d just acquired, was about to curse when the next second, his throat was suddenly constricted by something, making him unable to utter a word.
Similarly speechless were the security guards and bodyguards inside the house.
They watched the young man closely, their pupils trembling violently, instinctively stepping back several steps.
Behind the young man, a variety of snakes of different sizes and colors followed.
They weren’t overly aggressive, moving slowly, but no one dared to assume they weren’t threatening.
Landon instantly recognized.
Those snakes trailing them were all his collection!
Though he wanted to demand their return, words failed him.
He liked playing with snakes, but not with a whole horde!
"Who... who exactly are you people?"
Landon struggled to hold back his faltering voice, but his trembling tone betrayed his unease.
The floral serpent on Rose’s shoulders, hearing his voice, suddenly raised its head, locking its icy gaze firmly on him.
With its movement, the snakes on the ground raised their heads as well, assuming a threatening stance.
Landon almost buckled, barely steadying himself against a nearby bodyguard, but still instinctively took a few steps back.
For the first time, he felt fear for the snakes he loved.
Scarlett kindly spoke then, asking him,
"I’m taking the snakes with me, you don’t mind, right?"
Landon: ...
Even if I minded, would you listen?
Would they listen?!
Choking back resentment, he gritted his teeth with fear,
"You... you can go."
He realized now that neither this Jennings girl nor the others with her were to be trifled with.
He could stand up to ordinary people, but those who could command his snakes,
were clearly not ordinary.
It wasn’t worth it for these snakes.
Landon caved in.
As he relented, the security and bodyguards behind eagerly stepped aside, making way.
Scarlett and the others, along with the following snakes, slowly passed through the crowd.
Landon watched as Scarlett and the others took his snakes out of the villa gate.
He harbored silent resentment and reluctance but consoled himself.
No worries.
Without them, he could still capture or buy more later!
But Scarlett Jennings... was too arrogant.
He must find a way to teach her and the Jennings Family behind her a lesson!
Landon plotted with cruel intent, unaware that the floral serpent coiled around Rose, already out of the door, slinked its head over Rose’s shoulder, its vertical pupils tightly locked onto Landon.
Landon didn’t know yet, but he had already been marked by a Serpent Demon’s deep hatred.
In the future, not only would all his plans fail, but his end would be miserable...
Meanwhile, Scarlett glanced back at the villa, contemplating its oddity. She decided to call Luca Jennings.
"Dad, I want to buy a villa."
