Squid Who Loves Diving

January Summary and Seeking Monthly Tickets (Chapter Updated)

My new book was officially launched in January. Thank you all for your support. It can be considered a record for first subscriptions on Qidian.

However, there was a promotion at the time, and many people subscribed to a chapter to receive a reward. The second chapter had about ten thousand fewer subscriptions than the first chapter. Of course, even after deducting ten thousand, it was still a record for first subscriptions on Qidian.

After that, because the pace of this book is very slow, the subsequent subscriptions kept dropping, which made me a little panicked. Whenever this happens, I will definitely examine whether there is a problem with my writing, and if so, how to improve it. If not, then adjust my mentality and take it slowly, don't rush.

I said that a key point I hope to achieve with this book, *Chang Ye* (Long Night), is to "see," to see the local customs and practices where various things are mixed together after a certain degree of civilizational fragmentation. This will have many absurd and interesting points, but upon closer consideration, it will also evoke a bit of emotion.

Since the focus is on this aspect, I will definitely slow down the pace, simmering it gently over a low flame, slowly brewing the flavor, and then gradually pushing the climax.

These are all reflected in the content updated in January. I also enjoyed writing it. Even if the subscriptions were dropping before, as long as I started writing, I would feel relaxed and not anxious, happy for every little detail, and smiling as the characters gradually became fleshed out.

That is enough.

I said from the very beginning when I was writing *Mie Yun* (Annihilation of Destiny), that my goal was to write a book, tell a story, and then gather people who like it. As long as there are still many people who like it, then I can write calmly and create the world I want.

February coincides with the Chinese New Year. Although there won't be too many visits to relatives and friends due to the epidemic, there will definitely be many family matters to attend to. I will still follow the usual practice of taking leave and changing to one update per day for about ten days (an author without weekends, May Day holidays, National Day holidays, or any holidays can only look forward to this...

Don't worry, before the *Yecao City* (Wild Grass City) plot ends, I will always maintain two updates per day, even on New Year's Eve. I won't keep you waiting anxiously. Once this section is brought to a close, I will switch to a single update.

It's a new month, please vote for guaranteed monthly tickets~
