1178: Chapter 350: Opening Heaven Four-fold_4 1178: Chapter 350: Opening Heaven Four-fold_4 He let out a long chant, turning around to strike the ground with a punch, the entire world fragmented with a deafening roar.
Flakes scattered, fluttering like dancing petals.
One flower, one world.
Su He landed on the ground, his feet on a lotus pedestal, facing Big Freedom Bodhisattva’s slightly pale face.
But before Su He could stabilize, the Big Freedom Bodhisattva already pointed his finger, transforming it into a mountain to suppress him.
Su He stepped back explosively as he retreated.
The Big Freedom Bodhisattva chuckled, “Donor, where are you going?”
His Boundary Stones had all been suppressed by himself, leaving no escape.
Su He could not enter the Old Monk’s domain; to do so would be akin to invasion, and he would instantly be counterattacked by the Old Monk’s Boundary Stones.
Su He took consecutive steps, a glint passing through his eyes.
He was about to clap his hands with great vigor when he realized something.
He was a direct disciple of the Taoist Ancestor!
The Taoist Ancestor was the Buddha himself.
Spirit Mountain should rightfully belong to him; it made no sense for a traitor to humiliate him in his own home.
As Su He retreated, a mark appeared on his forehead—it was not the Gujing Pavilion Buddha’s Son seal; it was the authentic mark bestowed by the Taoist Ancestor.
The real mark of the Taoist Ancestor’s disciple!
Once the mark appeared, the entire Spirit Mountain reverberated with a hum, trembling as if the whole world was excited.
The Big Freedom Bodhisattva attacking Su He suddenly felt the flow of Buddhist Law come to a halt; the mountain descending upon him instantly dissipated.
Su He stamped his foot, landing atop a fourth Boundary Stone – out of the hundred thousand Boundary Stones of Spirit Mountain, ten thousand belonged to the Old Monk, nearly ten thousand belonged to Big Freedom Bodhisattva, and Su He claimed a hundred.
But the majority, undivided and shared among all monks of the world, were the remaining eighty thousand Boundary Stones!
But at this moment, as Su He stepped down, he sensed the cheers from each Boundary Stone, and with a gentle wave, all the stones responded to him.
Su He could sense that, although this was not his domain, the eighty thousand Boundary Stones could be employed at his will!
With a single thought, he could instantly depart from Spirit Mountain.
But then— leaving with eighty thousand Boundary Stones right now, wouldn’t that be madness?
Su He took a step and with each Boundary Stone, a beam of light rose to the sky, converging in the Nine Heavens into the form of the True Martial Emperor, drawing his sword to strike at the Big Freedom Bodhisattva.
The Big Freedom Bodhisattva steadied himself, looking incredulously at Su He, only to see the mark on Su He’s forehead flickering.
“A direct disciple of the Taoist Ancestor…”
The Big Freedom Bodhisattva suddenly froze.
His gaze towards Su He serenely calmed in an instant.
Too much astonishment rendered him numb when he heard such news.
For an existence that can step outside of time, isn’t it natural to be a disciple of the Taoist Ancestor?
Given to him, he could too!
No, if he could step outside of time, he wouldn’t just be a disciple of the Taoist Ancestor, he could replace the Taoist Ancestor!
The Big Freedom Bodhisattva took a deep breath, reaching out towards his own domain, “Come!”
A direct disciple of the Taoist Ancestor, even capable of shaking Spirit Mountain and calling upon the aid of eighty thousand Boundary Stones.
Does the authority of the Taoist Ancestor also hold sway in Spirit Mountain?
The Big Freedom Bodhisattva furrowed his brow but had no time to contemplate as the attacking Immortal Sword was already upon him.
The Big Freedom Bodhisattva stepped back, the lotus pedestal rose, colliding with the Immortal Sword, and with a clang, the True Martial retracted his sword, while the Big Freedom Bodhisattva was sent crashing towards his own kingdom like a meteorite.
His form grew even more transparent by the moment.
He didn’t seem dishonored; hurriedly, he steadied himself and grabbed downwards.
“Sharira, come!”
A beam of light shot out from underneath a Boundary Stone at the center of his domain, landing in his hand.
The Big Freedom Bodhisattva looked at Su He, “Fellow Daoist has countless secrets, but who among all living creatures in All Heavens doesn’t?
The poor monk may have hidden in Spirit Mountain, but I too have my means.”
He looked at the mark on Su He’s forehead, the corners of his mouth curving slightly, “Sadly, the Taoist Ancestor is dead.
This has been confirmed by me, the Sealed Emperor Great Ancestor, and the Yuan Sovereign, the three old ancestors together.
Fellow Daoist, a direct disciple of the Taoist Ancestor, emerges slightly late.
Otherwise, with such a status, ordinary Immortal Sovereigns certainly wouldn’t dare to offend.”
Ordinary Immortal Sovereigns wouldn’t dare, but he was no ordinary Immortal Sovereign.
Moreover, how could any who achieved the status of Immortal Sovereign be ordinary?
But given the chance, even the Taoist Ancestor would be pulled down to be a stepping stone.
Without such audacity, how could one ascend to greater heights step by step?
The True Martial Emperor pointed with another sword strike, but he seemingly ignored it, prodding the gleaming object in his hand while uttering a low shout, “Merge!”
He had no flesh body, and the strongest of the three Shariras left behind at his death was hidden in Spirit Mountain.
With the Sharira, it was possible to condense a flesh body to break through Spirit Mountain and eliminate this foe—but it was not impossible!
With the word “Merge” spoken, he thrust his finger through the gleam, and an ellipsoidal stone emerged.
It resembled a Sharira, yet from a distance, Su He could already smell it.
Fish gall!
A catfish gall!
It was a catfish that had lived for over ten thousand years, its entire body crystallizing into a poisonous yet potent catfish gall.
Was this the Big Freedom Bodhisattva’s contingency plan?
Su He didn’t know, but with all his might, the True Martial Emperor pointed with his sword.
However, the Big Freedom Bodhisattva looked at the catfish gall, his face a sheer tapestry of fascination.
As the sword pierced down, the Big Freedom Bodhisattva looked up, hurriedly pointing his Vajra Finger at the sword tip, while his eyes held complex emotions towards Su He.
“Fellow Daoist, what a skillful tactic!”
As they collided, his form shattered, as if cut open by the True Martial Emperor’s sword, but Su He knew he was using it as a chance to concede defeat and escape Spirit Mountain to the pure white space of the River of Time.
Su He quickly pursued and saw the Big Freedom Bodhisattva transforming into a Buddha’s light shooting towards his forehead.
“Fellow Daoist, what a skillful tactic!
You took away the poor monk’s Sharira early, and I was completely unaware.
Yet, in my meticulousness, I missed a gap, allowing the poor monk’s Divine God Soul to fall into your hands, which should cost Fellow Daoist dearly.”
The voice of the Big Freedom Bodhisattva echoed in Su He’s mind, “Since I started my practice, I have never seized another’s body.
I intended to erase your consciousness and refine it into a second body.
Today, however, I must resort to the inelegant act of seizing one’s body.”
As the voice transmitted, the Buddha’s light already enveloped Su He.
Su He’s expression became oddly contorted.
