944: Chapter 266: Mystery Yellow, Must be Destroyed!
Su He spoke, and looking up at the dark sky, he said, “Old ancestor, if you do not appear, I will open the Netherworld Passage!”
A bare threat.
After speaking, Su He fell silent for a long time; the sky remained turbulent with overcast clouds, dark and impenetrable.
Phoenix Ancestor, after all, did not make an appearance.
Ji Feixue watched Su He.
Su He pondered for a long time, then looked at the Toad.
The Toad was mostly unreliable, but in truly critical moments, it had never made a mistake, covering for Su He several times.
Even with incomplete memories, but having gone through much, its intuition was incomparable to ordinary people.
When in doubt, ask Green Flower, and there will be no major mistake.
The Toad licked its lips: “Open it!”
Having been in The Netherworld for a long time, having even ventured through three or four levels of the large tomb, it was clear that if Phoenix Ancestor could have appeared, he would have appeared long ago.
Su He nodded, took a step, and a Netherworld Gate suddenly opened up.
The gate was not large, only about nine meters in diameter, filled with a thick Netherworld’s Qi, dark and unknowingly leading somewhere, as the Netherworld’s Qi began to blow outwards as soon as the gate opened.
The Netherworld’s Qi from Su He differed from that of the Phoenix Ancestor’s and the White Tiger Ruin’s.
Su He’s Netherworld’s Qi was purer, a distinctly different kind of Yuan Qi without the malevolent or bizarre aura of the Phoenix Ancestor’s and White Tiger Ruin’s Netherworld’s Qi.
Su He’s Netherworld didn’t have the capability to kill Cultivators merely with its Qi.
However, it bore some resemblance to the Qi of the Netherworld area in Su He’s Inner World.
The passage opened, but unlike usual, no ghost creatures appeared, only the gusts of cold wind.
A flicker of surprise crossed Ji Feixue’s eyes.
Previously, when battling in Yunmeng Ze, she had sensed a similar Qi from East Cloud Mountain.
So, it was the Dragon Turtle Divine Power.
…Not Divine Power, Ji Feixue analyzed carefully, it was somewhat similar to an extinct witchcraft.
Su He turned to look at Ji Feixue, “Would you like to go in?”
The Netherworld Passage was his, but even Su He did not know what was inside.
Ji Feixue did not respond, stepping toward the passage.
Su He followed closely and whispered softly behind, “Do not attack the passage; I formed it with my body, attacking the passage is attacking me!”
Ji Feixue’s out-of-body Fairy Sword, its Sword Light, dimmed a bit.
Su He marveled, this girl was showing her superb Artifact Refining talent at this moment, where she stored her Fairy Sword, Horizontal Sword was anyone’s guess, able to pull them out at hand.
Each possessing an exceptional aura.
“Wife, after leaving the Netherworld, help me refine two beads?
I have a naturally formed Suppressing Land,” Su He carefully walked in the passage, transmitting his voice to ask.
Ji Feixue’s eyebrows slightly furrowed, she intended to correct Su He’s form of address but ultimately did not speak out.
She realized that this Turtle was just fooling around; at such a level, how could he uncontrollably make such habitual slip-ups?
Probably if reminded, he would laugh it off and apologize, yet call her the same way next time.
Ji Feixue remained silent for a moment: “Give them to me afterward.”
This Turtle, shameless and thick-skinned, would likely behave similarly, approaching her shamelessly whenever he wanted something.
Seeing how he acted didn’t seem like partners in the future, but rather like an ordinary husband and wife.
At this thought, Ji Feixue’s heart unexpectedly tightened, and an indescribable feeling rose in her.
Behind her, Su He cheered.
As an Immortal Sovereign State Ji Feixue refining treasures was beyond his understanding, now their Boundaries Status being not far apart, he should be able to understand her refining, right?
“Be quiet!” Ji Feixue frowned at the mischievous Dragon Turtle, snorted coldly, and the dimmed Sword Light slowly brightened again.
The passage was not long, and the exit was just ahead.
They had not yet walked out, but the severe aura of killing from the opposite end of the passage had already reached them, not targeted at them, but rather like an army formation!
It was the natural ominous aura, the killing intent of an army formation!
But peculiarly, this killing intent lacked the vigorous life force typical of a normal army.
Parting the Netherworld’s Qi in front of them and stepping out, they saw a range of low hills strewn with ruins, battlefield remnants with broken flags, shattered chariots…
There were swords with handles thrusting towards the sky, the hundred-meter-long body of a giant serpent, fallen Rocs, dried great trees.
Demon Qi, Dead Qi, Fairy Qi…
all mingled together!
This place once housed a palace built along the mountainside, but it had all been obliterated by warfare.
The earth was littered with broken corpses everywhere.
Rusted Broken Swords, rotten armor.
This fight must have occurred tens of thousands of years ago.
Su He and Ji Feixue glanced at each other and flew forward simultaneously.
After flying about thirty to forty kilometers and sensing something wrong, they turned back to see Toad standing bewildered among the corpses, its eyes filled with confusion.
Sensing their gaze, Toad looked up at Su He.
“Let’s go!” Su He said softly, “We’ll figure it out eventually.”
The Toad’s pocket was filled with numerous similar Broken Swords and rusty Ge Header.
A bunch of junk, from where Toad had come, it could not remember, almost as if it was born with such items in its pocket.
Every time Su He teased it, suggesting to throw them away, the Toad could not bear to part with them, cherishing them as if they were its life.
Now seeing the post-battle scene here, did it recall something?
Su He’s mind stirred, dragged Toad over, landing on his head.
The Toad shook its head; it couldn’t remember anything.
The so-called remembering meant having that segment of memory in the mind, sealed by dust.
But its memory was fragmented, basically empty.
Ji Feixue glanced back and did not ask further.
The Dragon Turtle and the Toad had transcended eras, carrying numerous secrets; although she was somewhat curious, she didn’t care much.
At the moment, all she wanted was to return to the All Heavens and Myriad Realms, only wanting to get the Dui Gua.
Perhaps due to her background, Ji Feixue’s curiosity had always been low.
She never involved herself in things that didn’t concern her.
