Capítulo 1294: Chapter 1293: So Angry I Vomited Blood

When the seafood and red wine were delivered by the waiter at the Seafood Grand Hotel, Ye Qiu started indulging herself, and Lin Xiang joined in too. Since Ye Qiu could cure gout, she no longer feared these foods.

After two hours of eating and drinking, just as Ye Qiu was preparing to have Lin Xiang settle the bill and leave, Lin Xiang whispered to him, “We just drank, so we can’t leave; otherwise, if the hotel staff report us, we’ll be in trouble.”

This kind of thing actually happens?

But it makes sense; drunk driving is illegal everywhere, and it’s strictly enforced here. They don’t care if you’re wealthy or in a high position; if you’re caught, it could mean a lifetime driving ban.

“Then let’s get a room to rest for now!”

Lin Xiang increasingly felt like her outing with Ye Qiu was akin to a date. Unexpectedly, they actually needed to rent a room to rest.

When they reached the reception, Ye Qiu asked for two rooms, but Lin Xiang insisted on one. As she held the keys to the luxury suite, Ye Qiu suggested she rest on the big bed while he settled on the sofa, which appeared extremely comfortable and plush.

Lin Xiang, used to taking afternoon naps, laid down on the big bed while Ye Qiu watched TV on the sofa in the living room.

When Ye Qiu turned off the TV and was in a sleepy haze, he saw Lin Xiang coming out to wake him up.

“Ye Qiu, my dad called looking for you.”

“What’s going on?”

“The Chen Family wants you to treat Chen Yinghua.” Lin Xiang didn’t even bother calling Chen Yinghua ‘Uncle Chen’ anymore, given what he had almost done to her father and the harm to the Lin Family.

“Just tell them we’re drunk and will head back later.”

In reality, they were nearly sober now, and even if not, Ye Qiu could restore Lin Xiang to normal.

He just wanted the Chen Family to feel the urgency; anyway, as long as Chen Yinghua had even a breath left, he could save him.

“I don’t think I’m drunk anymore.”

“Take your time; you can rest a bit, and then we’ll head back after dinner.”

Lin Xiang managed to explain to her father and hung up.

Lin Xiang felt increasingly puzzled about what Ye Qiu was really thinking as she lay back on the big bed, watching Ye Qiu on the living room sofa. She found it strange that Ye Qiu seemed to have no romantic interest in her. How could that be?

It was broad daylight, but just recently in the sea, this rascal had taken advantage of her.

Now that they were here, Ye Qiu behaved like a gentleman?

After five in the afternoon, Ye Qiu got up, freshened up in the bathroom, and found Lin Xiang already up, playing with her phone on the balcony’s wicker chair.

Seeing Ye Qiu was up, she asked, “Should we eat before heading back? The Chen Family might be losing patience.”

“He won’t die; there’s no rush. Let’s eat first.”

As they left the room, Lin Xiang picked up her bag and gave Ye Qiu a disapproving look. He really seemed like a gentleman; he hadn’t taken advantage of her at all.

“What are you looking at?”

“Nothing.”

When they descended to the restaurant, Ye Qiu didn’t order as much seafood. However, given the hotel specialized in seafood, the oysters there were big, juicy, and affordable.

After dinner, they went downstairs to settle the bill. The day had cost over two thousand Huaxia Yuan, covering the room and two seafood feasts.

Driving back to Kuala Lumpur, Lin Xiang headed to the hospital where Chen Yinghua was. Ye Qiu and Lin Xiang found the Chen Family anxiously waiting, especially Chen Mao and Chen Sheng, while other members glared at them with animosity.

“Doctor Ye, please treat my father quickly!”

Chen Mao requested.

“The time hasn’t arrived for retribution. For all the wrongdoing, some heavenly punishment is necessary. And those two conditions I mentioned, has your Chen Family fulfilled them? If not, what happens if I cure him and then you go back on your word?”

Ye Qiu had seen too many people like this.

He was worried they would break their promise as soon as he treated Chen Yinghua.

While he could apply witchcraft to torment Chen Yinghua and the Chen Family members, Ye Qiu had no intention of wasting time playing games with them.

“You!”

Chen Mao didn’t expect Ye Qiu to actually say that. He seemed even more ruthless than those extortionate Western doctors.

“Lin Xiang, call your dad and brother, and ask for the top lawyer from the law firm.”

Lin Xiang called her father, asking him to bring in the senior lawyer and prepare the necessary documents. Only after the Chen Family signed would Ye Qiu treat Chen Yinghua.

Upon receiving Lin Xiang’s call, Lin Yazhong and Lin Xiang brought the lawyers over; the conditions Ye Qiu mentioned were already drafted by a senior lawyer.

Once they arrived, Ye Qiu said, “Sign first!”

“You’re being unreasonable!”

Chen Sheng glared at Ye Qiu and the Lin Family members.

“Uncle Lin was almost killed by your family after supporting you all these years, yet you dare accuse us; your greed is insatiable.”

Chen Mao said nothing more and signed, followed by other Chen Family members.

Given the situation and although the Lin Family’s accounts hadn’t been thoroughly investigated, it was close. The Chen Family was sure to face legal consequences, and Malaysia might be unable to shelter them; they might have to immigrate elsewhere to start anew, and Chen Yinghua would face imprisonment.

Even if he survived, life would be miserable.

With the documents signed and verified by the senior lawyer brought by Lin Yazhong, Ye Qiu entered the hospital room, looking at Chen Yinghua on the bed. He couldn’t believe how ruthless people could be even to their own, let alone others.

Such a man deserved punishment.

When Ye Qiu emerged from the hospital room, it wasn’t long before the doctors and nurses noticed Chen Yinghua awakening and fully recovered, yet it didn’t appear to be a mere rally before death.

Chen Yinghua wasn’t aware that everything had changed outside.

As the Chen Family hurried in, Ye Qiu and Lin Yazhong left.

“Dad, something major has happened!”

Chen Mao said.

“What major event?”

As Chen Mao and Chen Sheng explained, Chen Yinghua spat out a mouthful of blood and fainted. Upon waking, he told Chen Mao and others, “Emigrate quickly; I’ll take the responsibility for this disaster. I was momentarily foolish and made a grave mistake. Remember my words, be honest in other countries, and there’s a chance for a comeback.”
