332: Chapter 332: The Goal, The Challenge (Third Update) 332: Chapter 332: The Goal, The Challenge (Third Update) “Screech!”
The sound of the tires screeching against the road was unbearably piercing as the armored vehicle skidded to a stop at the iron gate, mere ten centimeters away.
“Bang!”
The six occupants in the car, including Li Yu, were slammed hard against the vehicle.
At this moment, they only felt as if a storm had erupted in their bellies.
The next moment, they unfastened their seat belts, jumped out of the car in a hurry, squatted by the roadside, and began retching violently.
It could be said that this was their first experience with carsickness, as well as their first time vomiting!
Li Wenhong and a few others came out of the car, relieved that it had stopped.
“Screech!”
The iron gate opened, and when Li Wenhong saw Li Yu and the others vomiting by the roadside, his expression immediately darkened.
Li Wenhong turned his head, his gaze even sterner as he looked at the somewhat unsteady Zhang Shuguang, “Zhang Shuguang, do you have a sickness or something?
You trying to kill me?
What grudge do you have against me!”
“Seriously, getting carsick when you’re the one driving, do you have the nerve to call yourself a soldier?” Li Wenhong’s stern face softened somewhat as he looked at Zhang Shuguang’s pitiable state, not knowing whether to cry or laugh.
Your sister, a driver who gets himself dizzy—that’s bloody brilliant.
Zhang Shuguang took several deep breaths, stamped his feet hard, feeling the solid ground beneath him before he started recovering from the extreme panic.
These few hours almost scared him to death.
Afterward, gasping for air, he pointed at Zhang Fan, who was leaning on the car door, “He was driving, not me.”
What a joke, making himself dizzy from driving—he wasn’t that capable.
“Him?”
Li Wenhong followed Zhang Shuguang’s pointing finger and looked at Zhang Fan, who had a faint smile on his face, feeling somewhat shocked.
Damn, where did this kid come from?
Driving so fiercely, he seems impressive.
“I say, what happened to the agreed three days?
You, did you not follow the planned route?” Li Wenhong asked.
Zhang Shuguang shook his head and sighed, “I got heatstroke around noon, and then this kid wanted to drive, so I let him.
Who knew he would drive like a madman the whole way, at a minimum speed of two hundred twenty!”
Zhang Shuguang was still scared out of his wits and then sat down on the ground, utterly exhausted.
“Two hundred twenty?”
Not just Li Wenhong, but the others behind him too were wide-eyed.
Two hundred twenty kilometers per hour, what kind of speed was that?
And that was the minimum!
My goodness, it was a miracle these guys came back alive.
“Right, how are the people you brought?
Did anyone drop out?” Li Wenhong asked.
Zhang Shuguang, still finding the situation somewhat amusing yet unbelievable, said, “Even if you gave them another three days, none of these guys would be eliminated!”
“Hmm?” Li Wenhong’s eyes lit up as he surveyed Li Yu and the others.
These guys were so resilient?
Zhang Shuguang noticed Li Wenhong’s expression and immediately pointed at Zhang Fan, saying, “That guy brought a lot, a lot of dry food!”
Instantly, Li Wenhong and the others had a blank look on their faces.
Damn, brought dry food?
A lot?
Have people nowadays become so boring?
“Forget it, we’ll talk when everyone arrives tomorrow,” Li Wenhong said, then turned and walked into the training camp.
“Help!”
Just then, an incredibly weak voice sounded.
Li Wenhong and the others turned around and followed the voice.
When they saw Fan Jian foaming at the mouth, they were all shocked.
“Zhang Shuguang, what’s going on here?” Li Wenhong shouted.
Zhang Shuguang, curious, walked over, but he too was frightened when he saw Fan Jian’s condition.
“He must be carsick, I guess!” Zhang Shuguang said.
“Hungry, thirsty, dizzy!”
Fan Jian uttered three words and then fainted.
“What’s happening?” Li Wenhong’s eyes nearly bulged out.
Weren’t they saying no one would drop out even in three days?
So, what was up with this guy?
He immediately waved his hand, signaling the people behind him, “Go call the medic.”
Zhang Shuguang walked over to Zhang Fan and quietly asked, “Hasn’t he eaten anything?”
Zhang Fan chuckled: “He’d like to, but there’s nothing to eat.”
“You didn’t give him any?” Zhang Shuguang asked.
“He was almost beating me up; why would I offer him food?
That’d be crazy.” Zhang Fan rolled his eyes and then sauntered through the gate.
When Zhang Fan saw the vast expanse of grassland, his eyes lit up.
The space was very wide, without any brick-and-mortar structures, replaced instead by large tents!
It looked like a little prairie, and with the small mountain ranges all around, it was simply a perfect summer retreat.
This is the devil’s training camp?
Why does it look more like a summer camp?
That’s a bit unscientific!
Soon, Fan Jian was carried away, and seeing Zhang Fan and his five companions, Li Wenhong also started to feel worried.
The instructor hadn’t arrived yet, and the formal training was supposed to start tomorrow night; what to do with these guys now?
Just leave them be?
Forget it, better call the instructor over.
Right away, Li Wenhong returned to the tent area and made a phone call.
“Instructor, someone has arrived.
Do you have any orders?”
“This early?
We’ll be right there.”
Half an hour later, Black Shark and his group of six arrived slowly by car.
When he got out of the car, he saw Zhang Fan lying on the grass.
“Crow, look, guess who’s here,” Black Shark chuckled.
Crow stared intently and, seeing Zhang Fan hopping around with a blade of grass in his mouth, immediately burst into laughter.
“This kid, why is he so carefree wherever he goes?” Crow said and then walked over.
“Instructor!”
Li Wenhong and the others approached, their faces showing the utmost respect.
Black Shark’s identity was something Li Wenhong was very clear about.
Li Yu and the rest also quickly turned to look.
So these were their instructors?
They looked pretty average!
“Hmm!” Crow nodded and then walked over to Zhang Fan, lifting his leg and delivering a swift kick.
“Ouch, who’s that!”
Zhang Fan abruptly jumped up, and, seeing the stern-faced Crow, immediately pouted.
“Uncle Crow, Uncle Black Shark, Uncle Knife, Uncle Gentleman, Uncle Da Hai, Uncle Tian Ya!”
Zhang Fan greeted each of the members of Black Shark’s group in turn.
When Zhang Fan’s voice rang out, Li Wenhong and the others were flabbergasted.
Damn, the kid knows Black Shark and his group?
This isn’t scientific at all, Black Shark and his group have been in the military for over twenty years.
Who the hell is this kid?
Not only Li Wenhong, but Han Xu and the others were also stunned.
Holy crap, what did Zhang Fan just call these guys?
Uncles?
Isn’t this like some kind of cheat code?
Black Shark walked over to Zhang Fan, patted him on the shoulder, and said, “It’s a long road ahead; this is just the beginning.”
Zhang Fan understood Black Shark’s meaning and nodded emphatically.
Angry Dragon, Gold Dragon, the Bai Family, these three towering mountains, he, Zhang Fan, would definitely catch up rapidly.
But then, Zhang Fan saluted Black Shark and bellowed: “Instructor Black Shark, recruit Zhang Fan reporting for duty.
During the upcoming training, please don’t treat me like one of those rookies.
My goal is to defeat you with a single punch.”
Zhang Fan’s voice was earnest, serious, and even carried a form of invisible declaration of war that resounded in the ears of Li Yu, Li Wenhong, and the rest.
