Those densely packed bookshelves made Glory’s Light’s legs go weak every time.
“Thank you, Lord Li De, I will definitely work hard,” Glory’s Light choked out this huge lie to his big boss with tears in his eyes.
Li De almost laughed out loud seeing this fellow’s pained, conflicted expression.
Go ahead and savor the joys of magic to your heart’s content.
“Very good. I will instruct the Teaching Division to give you special attention. From now on, you will have scheduled exams every month, and every day you will receive one-on-one tutoring.”
Glory’s Light, who had originally planned to slack off, froze. Looking at Li De’s beaming smile, he wanted to cry but had no tears.

After Glory’s Light left, Li De was in an excellent mood. This fool, he’d finally tasted the beating that was studying magic, hadn’t he?
He had inherited two hundred years of memories from the Vampire Progenitor, so he knew better than anyone just how much knowledge was required to study magic.
