Chapter 1545: Fufi’s Family (Part 2)
At some point, Fufi and Snow also emerged, but they still just hung out at the edge and watched everyone play.
"Wow, Fufi’s really a dad now. I feel old."
"Look at him acting like a tired middle-aged man..."
Some passerbys stopped to look and pet and feed them—well, only Fufi and Snow, since the babies were on a milk-only diet for now.
"Woof! Woof!" Fufi barked as he received a nice steak. Instead of eating though, he just caught it and gave to his wife. He pushed the greedy puppers trying to get a bite away with his nose.
"Woof!"
He was much bigger than they were and a little boop could make their bodies roll around half a meter away.
The Puppers were not reconciled. They ran around with their little legs, pulling him with their bites, pouncing on him with their little bodies.
They were as big as a person’s palm now, and it was amazing how they thought they could affect Fufi, who was now as big as a teen standing even on all-fours.
"Pip! Pip!" they borked, hitting right in the hearts of the humans. Some people almost instinctively gave treats (a lot of them had some in their spaces, especially with the advent of more and more battle pets roaming around).
Fortunately, they still knew that they could not get careless with giving treats to babies. So, in order not to hurt the puppers’ hearts too much, they just controlled the amount they gave to Fufi, to the dog’s chagrin.
Anyway, the puppies didn’t stay depressed for too long because people kneeled next to them, luring them in with toys.
"Pip! Pip!"
"Aiyaaa sooo cuteeee!!"
The females were naturally more open in showing affection.
Some grabbed a pupper and petted their heads, stomachs, and so on.
At first, the puppies seemed annoyed about suddenly being scooped up out-of-nowhere, but they soon succumbed to comfort.
When they saw a puppy had been ’tamed’, many more kneeled down on the ground, hoping for a baby to come to them.
Some grown adults practically lay on the ground as they tried to get the puppers to glomp at them.
"What are their names?" Lily (the doctor) asked Lily (the child), who happened to be among the kids petting the doggies this time.
The child grinned, pointing at each one.
"Fufi has six babies," the child said, gesturing at the one in Lily (the doctor)’s arms. It had white fur like snow, and was very pudgy and nice to touch. "That is Mochi, he’s a boy, I’m sure you could tell. He abhors boys touching him."
If one of the boys tried, they’d only see his bum and hear his little growling sounds, if one could call it that.
Lily (the child) then pointed at one that looked more like Fufi. He was rolling around trying to catch what seemed like catnip by Dog and Sunny.
"That is Peanut," she said. "He’s also a boy, named like that because he looks like Peanuts."
"Pip! Pip!" the puppy borked, as if agreeing to whatever she said. Very cute.
They then turned to one that had features that seemed like a mix of both dogs. He was looking up at various humans, tail wagging, going around them as if he wasn’t satisfied with just a single person petting him.
He also specifically likes to use his nose to touch. "That’s Boop," she said. "He likes to boop his nose everywhere, even couches and shrubs." The puppy was a lot like a baby who wants to touch everything, except Boop liked to do it with his nose rather than his paws.
Then, there was a pupper who looked exactly like Fufi bouncing around and following a ball. Someone happened to have it in their space for some reason. Later, they’d find out the dude was trying out for the zoo, hoping to attract a future battle pet.
Of course, when most of the puppies saw the colorful ball bouncing around, their attention quickly shifted, and they also ran around to play.
"That’s Fifi," the child said, fixed on the puppy closest to the ball, and somehow was always the one getting it. "She’s just female Fufi."
Then there was a puppy standing right next to their mother with exactly the same appearance. She also has that aloofness about her, which was just adorable in that small body.
"That’s Flakes," she said. "She is well-behaved like her mum. She doesn’t really like interacting with humans much."
And finally, there was a puppy with mixed appearances already snoring in someone’s thighs.
"That’s Snuggles. He likes to snuggle and nap. He has no sense of self-preservation at all. I worry about him."
The adults couldn’t help but chuckle at how solemn she looked.
"He might seem well-behaved, but he’s really troublesome. Sometimes he goes missing for hours—making everyone panic—and then we find out he’s just found a nook somewhere and fell asleep there."
Little Lily shook her head in exasperation, seeming like a little adult, which was also very cute.
Anyway, the party and fun lasted for about another hour more, with more people checking out what the crowd was looking at, ending up joining in. Many of them had jobs and shifts by the way, but they’d just have to settle for being late and getting penalized.
Good memories were a priority! And cuteness overload was one of the best kinds of good memory!
Unsurprisingly, a lot of phones were out, capturing the moments, and a lot of photos with the dogs and the children were saved, making people’s hearts warm.
Sadly, the dogs couldn’t stay there forever, they were heading to the park after all.
Still, many people couldn’t help but wonder: When would they have their own battle pets?
