Chapter 1551: Dragged Outside
Kali looked at Arad for that short split second and then turned back toward Nyar. A Little girl with flowing pink hair and eyes, wearing a cute summer dress, but strangely, the glare coming out of her innocent-looking face looked anything but human.
Eyes faintly glew with demonic magic, her lips were pale, lacking all signs of life, and her emotionless expression slowly contorted into a frown.
"Nyar..."
She growled, and the bones beneath her soft skin cracked under the immense stress that her muscles produced. From beneath her dress, one could see the bones of her spine and chest twisting and cracking. Soon, two more pairs of arms burst from her back without a single drop of blood dripping out.
Her spine elongated, and so did her limbs, her skin bruised and turned pink, then red, then purple, finally cooling down to a bright blue shade.
Her pink hair got stained by her demonic magic, turning dark and glowing faintly purple and blue.
"Begone!"
In that moment, not before or after it, everything happened without time being even given the chance to flow. A million golden arms the size of worlds came crashing down at Nyar’s unfathomable body, tearing both the fabric of space and time in their path like a human hand through a spider web.
Nyar’s tentacles reached up, clashing with the countless arms in a desperate attempt to resist being utterly destroyed and ripped apart.
You’d think Kali’s golden arms are too big, so they’d hit each other and not be as effective in massive numbers. But, they did phase through each other like ghosts, allowing all of them to precisely hit a single fly if Kali wanted.
No one could witness the fight. Kali’s full power in effect had rendered both time and space useless, allowing her to mow through them like a bulldozer trying to rip the roots of a dead tree stump out, which was called Nyar.
When the clash stopped, and the silence was broken, something strange happened.
The entire world wasn’t where it was supposed to be. It was now thrown outside the universe. Kali wasn’t just tearing the fabric of space and time to attack Nyar or fight him; she was tearing the whole world out with her arms, and she threw it out of the window.
Unlike some sun goddess who wouldn’t care less and would just go berserk inside the universe, Kali at least had some manners to take her fights outside.
Nyar growled. He survived. "How annoying, but still according to my plan. You’ve lost, goddess of destruction."
Kali looked up with a smile, "Guess what?"
Above Nyar, two beings floated in the sky, clear and separated from the dark expanses of the universe.
A tall, radiant woman of pure arrogance, floating above a golden bed carried by angels, looking down at Nyar with a faint, disgusted smile on her face.
Amaterasu was there, glaring down at Nyar as if he were just another bug that crawled on the mortal dirt, far beneath her, as everyone else was. What made her even more problematic was that his hatred power seemed to fail against her.
In the same way that many people are thrown off by spiders or bugs, to her, he looked just like a disgusting, ugly, and appalling bug.
Beside here was another horror, not a god, not even a divine, but someone that not even Nyar himself expected to show up here, especially since Arad was here.
Tall, well-built, with pale and fair skin, long flowing black hair that radiated with purple light, glowing violet eyes, and a stare so chilling that he couldn’t tell if she was frowning or smiling.
Vasilissa was standing there, boiling with so many unknown emotions that even Amaterasu was slowly floating away from her, in case she blew up.
It took Nyar a fraction of a second to realise that she wasn’t staring at him; her eyes were fixed on Arad, who still reeled away from the wave of destruction caused by the clash before.
Vasilissa finally moved, her body naturally floating toward Arad, and Nyar’s endless dark tentacles moved out of her way. Even he knew that the fastest way to get a ticket to hell is getting between drakaina and her wyrmling.
Vasilissa reached Arad and looked at him. Just a few seconds had passed, and he was doing well for someone who got caught in a galactic clash between Nyar and Kali. Many would’ve just evaporated.
Arad seems to have survived only because he was technically a paladin of Kali, getting divine magic from her, so she was able to protect him from her own power to an extent.
Diana, Mathilde, and the fallen Archon were all fine. So Vasilissa reached with her hand and slapped Arad a few times, "Wake up, don’t tell me this alone knocked you out."
Arad growled, slowly coming back to his senses. He growled, immediately setting several tens of barriers around himself before even opening his eyes.
When he looked forward and saw Vasilissa in front of him, he growled again, "Damn it..." He growled, and his whole body started burning with radiation.
He was trying to wake up, thinking he was still unconscious. Why is he even dreaming about Vasilissa being around?
Vasilissa smacked him on the head again, "You’re awake, stupid."
Arad blinked twice, looked around, and saw that Kali was indeed beside him.
Vasilissa sighed and stared at Kali, "His nose must be busted."
"I doubt it. Arad can even regenerate his whole head." Kali stood and glared at Nyar with a smile, "But, we’ll talk about that later. Now, we put that thing down."
Arad finally came fully to his senses. His nose couldn’t be mistaken; this was his mother. Was she around him all this time? She had even helped his wives fix their wedding dresses. But why couldn’t he tell her at that time?
But at that moment, a voice rang in his head. ^That was a doll, I can’t walk the mortal world with my true body for long. I’ll destroy it.^ She pulled Arad up by his hand and turned to face Nyar.
"We’ll talk after we send this thing back to where he belongs. Try to keep up."
Arad had many questions in his mind, which he decided to keep for later. But he did ask Mom, the one inside his head. She did confirm that this one in front of him was his mother, the real one in the flesh. A multiverse-obliterating monster with enough power to rip reality apart, in short, MOM.
"By the way, I already got Gojo a few hours ago. Brat is still a crybaby as he was before." She looked at Arad with a smile, "You look just as reckless and stupid as I remember."
"You said we’re going to fight first." Arad walked to her side, extended a fist forward, and summoned the black hole.
"Of course." She looked at the small black hole he held and smiled. "How cute."
"Indeed," Amaterasu laughed above them, "The mother fighting a bear with a canon and her kid just pulls up with a pebble, ready for blood."
"Laugh all you want." Arad smiled, "He won’t be laughing when I hit him in the eye." Arad was the first to charge forward, flying as fast as he could at Nyar.
In that fraction of a second, everyone moved. A titanic sun emerged above them and fell down, washing everything in pure white light.
Kali’s titanic golden statue flashed among the sparks, and a million hands came crashing down at Nyar’s endless body, ripping it apart.
Vasilissa rushed straight at Nyar’s core, calling to Arad and urging him to move faster, to keep up with her. He had started moving first, but before he knew, his mother was far ahead of him, cutting a clear and safe path for him.
Even with Vasilissa protecting him from most of Nyar’s tentacles, many still reached him, and he had to fight for his life. Here outside the universe, the universe couldn’t restrain Nyar’s power as it does to the gods anymore.
So bringing a fight here was always a risky thing; it allows both the gods and the abominations to stretch their limbs and fight with their full might.
Each tentacle that Arad blocked or deflected with his black hole sword felt heavier than anything he had faced before, each one seeming to be the one that would break his bones and put an end to his life.
One tentacle slipped past his sword and was about to crush his head, only for Vasilissa to show up and smack it away. "Careful, always be ready to reblock an attack or dodge if it slips past your defenses."
Right beside them, Kali and Amaterasu were dealing with the bulk of Nyar’s power, taking the front of the fight and allowing Vasilissa to take her son on this field trip and teach him how to fight and hunt.
"Ka-chan, hold the slithery bastard for me." Amaterasu flew away, letting Kali fight Nyar alone for a few seconds. She needed to get them a helper.
"Fallen one." Amaterasu glared at the fallen Archon born from Arad’s presence. While Diana and Mathilde still had their power and were doing well, fending off as many tentacles as they could, he had fallen behind, running out of energy, and was about to perish.
"I’ll grant you some power. So get back into the fight." She lifted her hand up, and an unfathomable blue sun that dwarfed the entire fight appeared out of nowhere.
The sun was so massive that the fight stopped for a fraction of a second as everyone looked up. Especially Nyar, who backed away, thinking Amaterasu was about to drop that thing on his head.
But instead, the titanic blue sun collapsed on itself, bursting into a massive supernova, empowering Kali and Diana due to all of the destruction, and at the same time, something dark was born from the remains of the dead sun.
A black hole, a massive one nearing the size of the sun in the mortal world.
As the black hole rumbled above the fallen Archon, Amaterasu spoke.
"I’m not ripping you out of your master, just taking his place. I shall grant you the closest power I have to that of your master, so here it is. Feed and thrive, I shall name thee... Baal, the daemon of sacrifice."
As the fallen Archon, now called Baal, expanded his wings and absorbed the black hole. He looked up.
"I’m a fallen Archon, not a demon."
Amaterasu shrugged, "Named you after Kayden, a Daemon. You are neither a devil nor an angel, something in between."
Kayden’s full name was Kayden Daemon.
"I’ll take Baal, but not the Daemon, I’m a fallen Archon." Baal flew past Amaterasu and joined the battle.
