Chapter 187 Trap Two

Each harboring their own thoughts, they were about to probe further when they heard footsteps coming from the corridor again.

Both Jia Wenjun and Hao Jiening turned their heads simultaneously, discovering that it was actually Teacher Lin.

Teacher Lin didn't seem surprised to see them and said calmly, "I came for a follow-up appointment. I know Zhao Di is having surgery tomorrow, so I came to see her."

After a pause, as if explaining her reasons, she continued, "We were all on the same boat before. Zhao Di went through even more difficulties and pain than we did. Now that she's finally alive, I hope her surgery goes smoothly tomorrow, so I thought I'd come and cheer her up."

Hao Jiening quickly said, "That's what I was thinking too, so I came."

After they finished speaking, they both looked at Jia Wenjun as if everyone was justified in being there except her.

Jia Wenjun didn't want to explain anything to them; they wouldn't believe her even if she did.

Seeing her silent and looking at Zhao Di in the ward, Hao Jiening snorted, "Heaven is watching what people do!"

Teacher Lin slowly walked over and looked at Zhao Di inside through the glass door. This was also the first time she had seen Zhao Di alive. Remembering the arrogant, vibrant, and beautiful Zhao Di when they first boarded the ship, Teacher Lin sighed.

"The surgery is tomorrow. I don't know if Zhao Di will wake up."

Hao Jiening curled her lips, "I heard that if she wakes up, she'll be fine. If she doesn't wake up, she might just die on the operating table."

"Is it that serious?" Teacher Lin covered her mouth and moved two steps away from Jia Wenjun.

Jia Wenjun didn't participate in their conversation. She only focused on Zhao Di on the hospital bed, wondering if these people were really here to cheer Zhao Di up because her surgery was tomorrow.

But Zhao Di had no reaction at all now, and couldn't even understand their words. What was the point of their encouragement?
