Chapter 288: Chapter 294 Hero Saves Beauty (8)
"Almost at Lover’s Slope, I’m taking the shortest path. Another ten minutes or so," Mia Ginger said.
"Alright, see you soon."
"See you soon," Mia hung up the phone.
As she raised her gaze, she suddenly realized her surroundings were eerily quiet.
Lover’s Slope was a name given by the students, as the name suggests, it’s a favorite spot for couples in the school.
Originally, it was the site of a historical figure’s cenotaph.
To commemorate and protect the place, the school intentionally preserved a large area, planting dense greenery.
Gradually, it formed a very dense small forest, making it convenient for young couples on campus to meet secretly.
With gravestones and forest, the area was somewhat scary at night.
Mia rarely took this path; earlier when she lingered on campus with Koa Jackson, they joked about ghost stories related to the place, earning her a reprimand from Koa.
Thinking of ghosts, Mia suddenly felt a chill down her spine.
Hearing the rustling tree shadows around, she quickened her pace.
Unexpectedly—
After walking a few steps, a man suddenly jumped out from the side.
Mia was startled, letting out an "Ah" in fright before regaining her composure.
The man didn’t look very old, perhaps in his early twenties, dressed simply in a T-shirt and jeans, appearing... not like a student.
Mia’s vigilance spiked abruptly, she retreated, saying, "Who are you?"
As the words fell, she bumped into another man’s embrace behind her.
"Hey beautiful, come play with us." The man sneered, suddenly holding her tight.
Goosebumps rose all over her body, Mia stomped on his foot and swiftly sidestepped to run to the side.
Another person emerged from the woods.
The three formed a circle, sizing her up while rubbing their chins, their eyes glinting with perverse lust, like wolves that hadn’t eaten for days.
What was there for Mia not to understand?
She hunched cautiously, turning in circles, reaching into her pocket for her phone.
Suddenly, she remembered the screen was password locked.
Her face changed instantly.
She pressed her lips tightly, clutching the phone without speaking, her mind racing.
One against three men.
And on such a night in this place, the chance of a smooth escape was so slim.
Why did she opt for this shortcut?
Mia regretted it to her core.
"Still want to run?" The man who was stomped scoffed coldly, chuckling, "The girl is pretty, looks quite spicy, just my type, brother likes it."
"Like your motherf*cker," Mia’s face burned with fury.
"Hey, quite a sharp tongue," the man paused, then burst into laughter.
The three laughed around her, making Mia tense.
She felt nauseated.
She took a deep breath, endured in silence.
"Stop wasting time, damn it." One of the men lunged at Mia as soon as his words fell.
Let out a horrific scream.
Mia’s phone struck his left eye, blood instantly trickling from the corner.
The other two men were equally shocked, watching her attempt to flee, they dashed forward to snatch her phone.
One person grabbed her waist from behind, dragging her into the woods.
"Let go of me, help!" Mia couldn’t break free, suddenly emitting a piercing scream.
Another man promptly covered her mouth.
In this secluded spot in the woods there might be couples around, they’d surely spoil the fun.
This chick was fierce enough.
