Chapter 1404: 1405: The Utterly Wicked Pure Land and the Bandits

Chapter 1404: Chapter 1405: The Utterly Wicked Pure Land and the Bandits

Li Xiaobai anxiously reminded them.

“Don’t worry, Master, we’ve got this!”

“If anyone’s outside, I’ll rush up and give them a good beating!”

Ma Niubi’s expression was full of arrogant swagger, his trembling fists sparking with excitement.

To step into the Immortal Gods Realm and explore its vastness—this was the dream of every cultivator in the Central Origin Realm.

Behind him, Fu Tiantian and the others began circulating their Cultivation Techniques, ready at a moment’s notice. The instant they stepped through the vortex to its other side, they planned to unleash a sweeping assault—whether or not anyone was there to guard it! Better to blast blindly than hold back!

“In that case, let’s proceed,”

said Li Xiaobai, as a Sea-Calming Divine Needle materialized in his hand. Wielding it with powerful sweeps, waves of terrifying energy surged forth. He stepped boldly into the vortex, emerging on the other side.

A blinding white light rushed toward him, so intense it was hard to keep his eyes open.

“Attack!”

The younger disciples behind him surged forward as well, streaking through the sky like bolts of lightning. They unleashed a barrage of techniques, mercilessly targeting the new world that greeted them.

Ma Niubi brandished a golden Money Tree, emanating Five-colored Divine Light that seemingly consumed all in its path. Meanwhile, Fu Tiantian slapped the giant wooden chest on his back, unleashing a torrent of talismans that shot into the air, transforming into dazzling streams of light. Light arrows erupted from them, piercing through the firmament.

Their Saint Realm cultivation levels were on full display. Everyone attacked recklessly, without even glancing at their surroundings, raining down a chaotic onslaught. This place was consumed by celestial brilliance and immortal energy—a divine radiance blindingly illuminated the space around them.

“What the hell? I wasn’t even ready yet…”

Li Xiaobai was dumbfounded. He hadn’t even given the command yet—why had his disciples already started their assault?

More importantly, he hadn’t even checked whether this place was guarded by any Immortal Gods. For his disciples to attack indiscriminately like this… they really were fearless!

“What’s there to worry about? Isn’t Master here with us? If anything happens, you’ll handle it. Relax! There’s no way we’ll bring shame to the Villain’s Guild!”

Ma Niubi puffed out his chest, brimming with confidence.

Li Xiaobai: “…”

Amidst the relentless bombardment, a familiar notification sound echoed from the System panel.

[Ding! Host has passed the Heavenly Tribulation and gained the power of Unlimited Eternity!]

[Host: Li Xiaobai!]

[…]

[Defensive Power: Transcendent Second Layer (Boundless Tribulation 0/2) – Ready for advancement.]

[…]

The System panel’s values shifted rapidly as an enigmatic line of text appeared, causing Li Xiaobai to shiver involuntarily. The moment he emerged from the vortex, his defensive power had already leveled up. Did that mean the thunder pool earlier was the power of Unlimited Eternity?

Would he need to repeatedly enter one of those thunder pools to continue advancing?

Turning around, he noticed that the vortex which had brought them here had vanished without a trace. If he wanted to find another Heavenly Tribulation, it seemed he’d need to hunt for a new thunder pool.

“There’s no attack—stop fighting! If there were truly Immortal Gods guarding this place, they wouldn’t let us act so brazenly.”

Li Xiaobai raised his hand to halt the disciples. To cause such chaos right after entering the Immortal Gods Realm—his disciples were giving him heart palpitations.

The disciples’ frenzied barrage finally subsided, leaving a desolate wasteland in its wake. They seemed to hear shocked cries coming from within; the voices weren’t those of Immortal Gods but instead carried a tone of terror.

Eventually, the dust settled.

The group stopped fighting and scanned their surroundings in astonishment. They found themselves standing in a village, or more precisely, at the edge of the village in a barren area.

Countless massive craters gaped in the earth, clearly created by their attacks. But what stumped everyone was the scene to their left and right—on one side stood a group of fierce, sinister-looking bandits, while on the other stood dirty, disheveled villagers who looked utterly panic-stricken. Li Xiaobai instantly pieced it together: they’d stumbled upon a gang of mountain bandits assaulting a village!

“Master, this doesn’t seem like an exit from the vortex,”

observed Fu Tiantian. The exit should have led to some remote, desolate place—certainly not a populated area like this.

“It looks like we were randomly teleported somewhere upon leaving the vortex. I’m not sure where we are—should we ask around?”

Ma Niubi suggested.

“Let’s ask,”

Li Xiaobai agreed. Adopting a friendly demeanor, he turned to the burly bandits and mustered a cordial smile. “Greetings, fellow Daoists. May I ask where this place is? Is there somewhere nearby for us to rest?”

“Who are you people?”

“How dare you meddle in the domain of the Pure Land of Extreme Evil? Aren’t you afraid of retribution?”

The mountain bandit leader, though rugged and vicious in appearance, remained composed in the face of their sudden intrusion. While Ma Niubi and the others’ earlier attacks were undoubtedly overwhelming and terrifying, the leader was no stranger to the antics of cultivators. He quickly regained his composure, speaking with the voice of someone well-acquainted with such situations.

“Pure Land of Extreme Evil?”

“Is that some kind of faction?”

Li Xiaobai’s eyes gleamed with curiosity.

“Who exactly are you people, to not even know the name of the Pure Land of Extreme Evil? Could it be you’re from outside this domain?”

The bandit leader’s eyes narrowed in suspicion as he sized up Li Xiaobai and his group. Their clothing, their auras, and, most importantly, the overwhelming techniques they’d unleashed earlier—all pointed to their origins being far beyond this region’s cultivators.

They really might be outsiders.

“This village has clearly been raided. The bandits’ lair can’t be far from here. Let’s storm their base and make it our foothold in the Immortal Gods Realm!”

Ma Niubi volunteered enthusiastically.

“If that’s the case, then let’s do it,”

Li Xiaobai said coolly, sweeping his gaze over the bandits and waving a hand dismissively. Their auras suggested they were no match for someone like Ma Niubi or Fu Tiantian. As newcomers to the Immortal Gods Realm, their goal was exploration. Determining the strength of the cultivators in this realm was the priority.

In the Central Origin Realm, they were Saint Realm cultivators, standing at the pinnacle of power. But in this realm, it was unclear how their Saint Realm cultivation compared. These bandits were perfect candidates to gauge the new world’s power levels. From their cautious behavior and probing words, it was obvious that while they looked fierce, their cultivation levels likely weren’t as formidable as they’d like to appear—either on par with or weaker than their own.

“Hmph!”

“In broad daylight, you dare commit acts of violence in this village!”

“Such audacity is a blatant mockery of justice. As a righteous force passing through, we cannot stand idly by while evil goes unchecked! Today, I vow to eradicate all evildoers and bring light to this world!”

“Brothers, attack! This Niubi cannot stand by while injustice prevails! As cultivators with a strong sense of justice, we will not allow such crimes to occur in our presence!”

“Seize them—beat them to a pulp!”

Ma Niubi and Fu Tiantian attacked in unison. In an instant, hundreds of talismans materialized in the void, weaving themselves into a vast Formation that sealed off the sky entirely. A massive cage descended, trapping the bandits within and cutting off any escape routes.

“Damn!”
