Chapter 114:
– Haru –
I had just gotten back from a lovely time spent with Ranni and her mother, Rennala. Rennala, now completely clear-headed thanks to my cooking, had spent the last half of our visit playfully teasing her daughter.
“So, my dear daughter, when exactly might I expect some grandchildren from thee and thy charming consort?”
Ranni instantly froze, a spoonful of mashed potatoes halfway to her lips. Her pale blue face flushed a vivid shade of purple almost immediately, and I could practically see the embarrassment ripple across her delicate features. She quickly set her spoon down, all four of her slender arms waving frantically in denial.
"M-Mother! Thou speakest nonsense!" she stammered nervously, shooting me an embarrassed glance before dropping her eyes shyly. "’Tis much too soon to speak of children!"
Rennala’s gaze softened lovingly toward her daughter. She reached out, gently placing her elegant hand atop one of Ranni's, her voice softer now but sincere. "Ranni, my sweet, thou must not fear nor shy away from the joys of love and family. Haru is a good man, he would surely care deeply for thee and any children thou might have together."
I felt my heart flutter at Rennala’s sincere approval, smiling gratefully as I looked back at Ranni. My beautiful blue-skinned Goddess of the Moon now seemed deeply contemplative…
…But now, I entered my apartment within the Fox Hole. I inhaled two familiar scents.
Waiting inside my bedroom were two gorgeous red-haired fox women. Naruko and her mother Kushina. Both were sitting quietly, looking anxious.
“Hey there,” I said casually at first, sensing immediately something important was on their minds. "Everything okay?"
Sitting across from them in my cozy bedroom, I felt my fox ears flatten instinctively against my head as I absorbed the news. The air felt thick with nervousness as I stared at the two beautiful redheads seated before me. And the news they just gave me:
Both of them were pregnant. Both of them.
My brain briefly short-circuited, and my mouth hung slightly open as I tried to comprehend what they’d just told me.
"I'm…you're…both of you?" I finally managed to stammer out.
Naruko shifted nervously. Her cheeks were nearly as red as her vibrant hair, her eyes darting between me and her mother. She looked both shy and worried, but behind her anxiousness, I could see genuine happiness sparkling in her purple eyes.
Kushina immediately moved, sliding beside me and wrapping her slender yet surprisingly strong arms around my arm, pressing her soft body tightly against me. Her warmth immediately soothed my racing mind, and she leaned up to press a gentle, reassuring kiss against my cheek. “Hey, Haru,” she whispered softly, her voice soothing and tender. “Don’t look so scared, okay? We’re happy about this. Really happy!”
As she spoke, I felt her fluffy nine tails begin gently swaying behind her, brushing tenderly against my back and legs. The rhythmic, affectionate motion further calmed my nerves, helping me regain control of my thoughts.
Naruko's ears perked slightly as she finally found the courage to speak, though her voice trembled a little with anxiety. "I-I mean, I didn't think it would happen so soon. I'm only nineteen and all…" Her eyes lifted hesitantly, locking onto mine with hopeful sincerity. "But I'm really glad it's yours, Haru. I wouldn’t want it to be anyone else's."
The innocent honesty in Naruko’s voice melted my heart, and the lingering shock gradually faded away. My tails moved on their own, gently curling around both women as an instinctive display of affection.
Kushina nuzzled her face softly against my shoulder, her warm breath brushing my skin as she spoke again, quieter this time. "And I'm over the moon about this too, Haru. This…this is a wonderful blessing. I always wanted a baby, dattebane."
Slowly, a smile stretched across my lips, and my ears gradually perked back up as I finally relaxed. "You two… you really surprised me, you know that?" I murmured affectionately, feeling a bit silly for my initial reaction.
Naruko giggled softly, relaxing visibly when she saw my smile. "Yeah, well, you should have seen our faces when we found out!" she teased lightly.
"I'm really glad you both feel this way. I know I looked pretty shocked, but trust me—I’m incredibly happy too."
Kushina sighed softly. "You had me worried there for a second," she teased gently, her voice playful yet filled with relief. “I was afraid we’d have to chase you down!”
I laughed openly at that, imagining the two fiery redheads chasing me across Kyoto. "Believe me, I'd never dream of running away from you two," I assured, squeezing her soft waist affectionately.
Naruko shifted, moving closer so she could sit comfortably on my other side. Her nine fluffy tails joined Kushina’s. "Well, I'm glad," Naruko said softly, her cheeks still lightly flushed. "Because, honestly… I was pretty scared when I first found out. But now…" Her delicate hand hesitantly reached for mine. "Now I feel excited. I can't wait to see you become a dad, Haru."
The sincerity in her voice touched something deep within me, and I couldn't help but grin brightly. "A dad, huh?" I murmured softly, my chest tightening warmly at the thought. "I like the sound of that."
Kushina playfully nudged me with her elbow, her violet eyes sparkling mischievously. "Oh, you'd better get used to it quickly, Haru. You're going to have your hands full with some new arrivals soon enough."
Although not that soon thankfully. Kitsune pregnancies were actually longer than human women. Around a full year.
I smirked back confidently, reaching up to gently stroke Kushina's soft hair. "I think I'm more than capable of handling you two," I teased lightly, enjoying the way her blush deepened at my touch. “I’d be happy to prove that again to both of you,” I finished.
Kushina smacked my arm and rolled her eyes playfully. “Yes, you certainly are, and that’s what got us here in the first place.”
I couldn’t quite disagree with that.
…Needless to say, the big news spread through the girl’s chat group with each other. I barely had time to process it myself before I found my small apartment swarmed by excited beautiful women. My lovers all seemed to burst through the door one after another, eager to congratulate the newly pregnant duo.
It was honestly heartwarming, seeing how quickly everyone came together to celebrate.
Amidst all the excitement, however, I definitely noticed a few looks thrown my way. Sansa and Catelyn were especially unsubtle about it. Both of them hovered near me. Their expressions practically screamed that they were hoping for their turn next.
I could hardly blame them. Coming from a medieval world like theirs, the idea of family and children was deeply important. Even though we were working diligently to raise the technology and infrastructure of Westeros, traditions and family values ran strong. The two lovely redheaded Stark women made it clear without words that they felt ready and willing to be mothers—again in Catelyn's case….
It wasn't just the two Stark women giving me suggestive attention, though. Rias’ queen Akeno had shown up with her and had quickly sauntered over with a mischievous sparkle in her violet eyes, trailing her fingertips along my chest while openly teasing me about having a baby while still attending Kuoh Academy! Telling me how delightfully scandalous it would be! Especially since it was known that I was her fiance to all the students in the academy. Although they didn’t know any of the supernatural bits.
I simply sighed in resignation…
Rias was thankfully more restrained, merely giving me a warm smile. She gently reminded me she had big plans ahead—college at Kuoh University, plus her competitive Rating Games career to consider first.
Not long after, Jane Shepard and Alice showed up, finally back from another wild adventure across a galaxy in another universe. Both women looked fit, strong, and full of life as they playfully hugged me. Jane gave a friendly punch to my arm—somehow she immediately figured out this wasn’t exactly planned.
They both made it clear they weren't interested in having children just yet. Considering how intense their space missions were, I definitely understood and agreed it wasn't the right time.
But it was always a relief seeing my two brave space explorers back safely, healthy, and in good spirits. I wasn’t the kind of clingy boyfriend that didn’t want them enjoying their lives out there to the fullest. Both of them loved the thrills of adventure, exploration, and danger.
Irene, too, had come to offer congratulations, and there was something unusually soft and gentle in her eyes as she glanced toward Naruko and Kushina. I knew she had been struggling lately with her complicated relationship with her daughter Erza, still trying to rebuild that maternal bond.
She confided quietly to me that perhaps a new little sister for Erza might actually help.
So that was three more of my women so far that wanted children all of a sudden… Or actually make that FOUR…
Throughout all the excitement and commotion, however, there was one woman whose gaze burned hotter than any other's—my very first girlfriend, my lover, my fierce Viking werewolf, Aela. Her piercing stare made it absolutely clear exactly what was running through her mind. Every glance she sent my way was filled with pure, animalistic desire and longing, her eyes practically devouring me from across the room.
I caught Aela's fiery gaze from across the crowded room and returned it with a sly, suggestive smile. Her eyes brightened, a knowing grin spreading over her lips as she slowly ran her tongue over them in a tantalizing manner.
Wow, that woman knew exactly how to make my blood run hot.
Before I could move toward my fierce Viking lover, however, two beautiful redheaded figures gracefully approached me. Catelyn and her daughter Sansa. Their expressions were somewhat tense beneath their lovely smiles, making it clear something important was weighing heavily on their minds.
"Haru," Catelyn began softly. "Have you spoken to your mother yet?"
I tilted my head curiously, giving both women an apologetic look. "Sorry, I've been with Ranni and her mom all day. What's happening? Is something wrong back in Westeros?"
Sansa sighed softly, shifting a little closer. The gentle scent of wildflowers that always clung to her filled my senses. "Unfortunately, yes. Daenerys Targaryen, daughter of the Mad King, has returned. She's brought three dragons and a large army, and she intends to conquer all of Westeros."
My eyebrows lifted sharply, surprise flickering through me. Actual Dragons? Or maybe just wyverns?
"We've finally managed to secure independence for both the North and the Riverlands," Catelyn said. "Sansa and I rule jointly now, and neither of us has any intention of bending the knee to a foreign invader, especially one whose father was so cruel!"
As if that would even have been an option in the first place!
I nodded seriously, placing a comforting hand lightly on each of their arms. “I'll head over to Westeros soon and see exactly what's happening myself. But let's worry about that later, okay? Today is special for Kushina and Naruko. Everyone's celebrating."
Sansa smiled sweetly, her earlier worry gradually fading away. "You're right, Haru. We should enjoy tonight. There'll be plenty of time for planning the downfall of foreign armies later."
I chuckled at her confidence. Of course they knew everything was going to be fine.
I turned my gaze thoughtfully back to the other. Rias and Akeno were excitedly chatting with Naruko, giggling and teasing the blushing redhead about becoming a mother so young. Jane Shepard and Alice were laughing at something crass Kushina had said that I shouldn’t repeat in polite company. Irene quietly watched them all, a faint smile playing on her lips as her eyes softened with gentle longing.
My thoughts suddenly wandered back to my earlier encounter with Rennala. Could she perhaps also peek into other worlds and see my restaurant, just like Ranni could? That would certainly explain why she teased Ranni so openly about grandchildren earlier. I chuckled softly at the memory of Ranni's adorable embarrassment.
Shaking my head slightly to clear away those amusing thoughts, I returned my attention fully to Sansa and Catelyn, smiling affectionately at the stunning mother-daughter pair. "I promise we'll deal with everything in Westeros soon enough. Tonight, just focus on having fun, okay?"
A sultry, husky voice spoke up from right behind me, instantly sending tingling shivers down my spine. "Oh, believe me. Tonight will definitely be filled with all kinds of fun!" Aela purred teasingly, pressing herself firmly against my back. "You've been quite busy lately, Haru," she whispered softly, her voice dripping seductively into my ears. "Between your work and your cute fox-girl mothers-to-be, I've barely gotten any of your attention…" I never thought I’d actually see her pout.
I smiled at that, lifting a hand to gently trace the curve of her cheek, feeling her warm skin beneath my fingertips. "Aw, have you been lonely without me, Aela?"
She smirked knowingly, tilting her head so her lips brushed teasingly against my fingers. "Maybe just a little," she admitted playfully. "But now that you're finally free, I intend to monopolize every moment I can get with you."
Catelyn chuckled softly from beside me, amusement coloring her voice. "Looks like you have plans tonight after all, Haru."
Aela glanced mischievously over at the two Stark women, a suggestive grin forming slowly on her lovely face. "Don't think I haven't noticed you two eyeing him up all night," she teased openly. "Perhaps we should share him?"
Sansa's cheeks instantly flushed a deep, vivid crimson at Aela's bold suggestion, her eyes widening adorably as she sputtered shyly. "Oh—I—I mean…"
Catelyn, however, looked surprisingly intrigued, an amused sparkle flickering within her eyes as she considered the tempting offer.
Aela laughed softly, her arms sliding confidently around my waist as she pressed herself even closer, her enticing warmth making my thoughts rapidly drift into a heated haze. "Don't worry, beautiful ladies," she purred seductively toward Catelyn and Sansa. "Tonight, there's plenty of Haru to go around..."
—
The next day.
…I stood confidently in the grand throne room of the Red Keep, my numerous golden tails swaying lazily behind me, clearly drawing the attention and wary gazes of everyone present. It was obvious they hadn’t seen someone like me before.
Not surprising.
Directly in front of me, Jaime Lannister—Cersei's twin brother—glared at me. He was sitting atop the iron throne. Despite being the king, it didn't look like he had been enjoying it.
“Who the hell are you? And more importantly, what are you?” Jaime growled, his voice edged with suspicion and hostility.
Jaime’s scowl softened just slightly, his tension easing a bit as he finally nodded in reluctant agreement. “At least we can agree on that much,” he grumbled quietly.
I nodded firmly. “Good. That’ll make things easier.”
…Jamie's friend Bronn was a funny guy. I immediately liked him.
He stood next to us, sweating visibly, looking around with a mixture of disbelief and anxiety as the three of us faced down an entire invading army that sprawled across the beach. Above us, three massive dragons circled in the sky, their wings beating with powerful strokes, causing gusts of wind to blow sand and debris across the battlefield.
Yeah, there wasn't any point wasting time, so I’d simply grabbed Jaime and his single chosen guard Bronn—and teleported the three of us directly to the shores of Westeros, right where I sensed a large gathering of people. Yes my senses could extend that far, I usually just didn’t use them because it was sensory overload. I had no idea how Ranni did it all the time.
As far as I could tell, we were in the Stormlands region, though admittedly my knowledge of Westeros was still limited to mostly Sansa's and Catelyn's territories.
“This…this isn't exactly how I planned to die,” Bronn muttered nervously, his voice shaking just a little as his eyes darted between the dragons and the massive army disembarking from hundreds of ships lined up across the shoreline.
Jaime, despite his initial rage and suspicion towards me, was making an obvious effort to remain calm and dignified. I could see tension in his jaw, his grip tight on the pommel of his sword with his remaining hand, as he tried to project confidence and bravery.
It was almost admirable. Lesser men would have been pissing themselves in fear.
“Relax, both of you,” I said confidently, my fluffy tails swishing lazily behind me. “They’re busy getting off their boats right now. Good timing. They can hop right back on and leave peacefully.”
Bronn barked out a startled laugh, glancing at me incredulously, clearly wondering if I was joking or completely insane. “I like that enthusiasm,” he said sarcastically, wiping his brow. “Too bad that's a giant fucking army that will probably kill us first. And then feed our corpses to their dragons as snacks.”
I turned to face him fully, my golden eyes glowing slightly with amusement. “I could slaughter this entire army in the blink of an eye if I wanted. Even gods fear me.” My voice became a little bit colder for a moment.
Bronn’s eyebrows shot up, his eyes widening dramatically. He turned to Jaime, clearly reassessing our odds. “Oh! Well, nevermind then,” he exclaimed cheerfully, instantly looking much more relieved. “I like our odds a lot better now. Say, friend, it just so happens I’m in the market for a new boss. What do you say?”
Jaime let out an exasperated sigh. “Really, Bronn? You choose now to betray me?”
Bronn just shrugged shamelessly, a cocky grin spreading across his rugged face. “I go where the wind blows and the coin flows, Ser Jaime. And it sounds like our fluffy friend here has plenty of power—and I assume coin—to spare.”
I chuckled at his straightforward attitude. Yeah, definitely a funny guy.
The enemy soldiers were noticing us now. A few scouts on horseback rode cautiously towards us, weapons drawn, their eyes filled with confusion as they took in my unusual appearance—the fox ears, the ten golden tails lazily swaying behind me, and the casual, unconcerned stance I had, despite standing in the open against a massive invading army.
“Alright,” Jaime said, his voice dropping low and tense as the soldiers approached. “How exactly do you plan on handling this, Haru? And can you actually back up what you're claiming?”
I shot him an easy smile, stepping forward confidently, casually stretching my arms above my head. “Just watch and learn.”
As if sensing something wasn't right, the three dragons suddenly started acting strangely in the sky. They began circling erratically, releasing loud, anxious cries as their wings beat faster and more chaotically. Their massive bodies jerked in the air, visibly disturbed by a threat they instinctively recognized but couldn’t understand.
"Uh… Prince Haru?" Bronn gulped audibly beside me, his voice trembling slightly with growing panic. He stared skyward, sweat beading rapidly on his brow. "I think those scaly bastards just spotted us. Maybe now would be a good time to do your whole 'gods fear me' thing, eh?"
Next to him, Jaime's jaw tightened. His one hand gripped his sword hilt so hard, his knuckles whitened. “Yes,” he muttered urgently through clenched teeth. “If you have a trick up your sleeve, now's the damn time to pull it out.”
I simply smirked, feeling the primal power surge within me, my ten fluffy tails expanding and waving with excitement. Confidence surged through my veins, my golden eyes narrowing sharply on the trio of dragons rapidly diving toward us. "Relax, my dudes. I've got this."
“What the fuck is a dude supposed to be?” Bronn whispered, my fox ears of course heard him.
“I have no idea,” Jamie added.
I tilted my head back, drew in a deep breath, and then unleashed a mighty roar that erupted from deep within my chest, echoing with raw power and dominance. The sheer force behind it rippled through the air, vibrating fiercely enough to shake the sand beneath our feet. Waves of energy visibly rippled outward from me, crashing into the incoming dragons with overwhelming force.
The dragons reacted immediately. A chorus of terrified shrieks burst from their throats as if they'd flown straight into an invisible wall. Their sleek forms twisted frantically, wings faltering helplessly as they lost control. Panic overwhelmed them completely, forcing them to drop clumsily from the sky.
With heavy, earth-shaking thuds, all three dragons landed directly before me, sand exploding around them in clouds of dust and debris. They lay trembling, their heads bowed submissively to the ground, wings spread out limply, tails tucked close to their quivering bodies.
Their posture clearly showed absolute submission. I stepped forward calmly, my lips curling into a smug grin at the impressive sight. Behind me, I heard Jaime exhale sharply in stunned disbelief. "What in seven hells did you just do?" he breathed.
Bronn’s jaw fell open. “By the gods…” he breathed, stumbling back. “They’re bowin’. The bloody dragons are bowin’ to him.”
I chuckled quietly, ignoring his shock for now. Reaching forward, I gently touched the head of the nearest dragon, running my fingers slowly along the smooth scales covering its trembling snout. "Interesting," I murmured softly, sensing the creature's desperate attempt at communication.
My Yokai abilities allowed me to speak to animals, and these dragons—well, calling them dragons felt generous now—were no exception. Immediately, I could hear their frightened voices whispering urgently in my mind.
"Please, great lord! Spare us! We meant no disrespect!"
"Don't hurt our mother! She’s kind and good! She raised us from hatchlings!"
“We surrender!”
